Chapter 40: Eternal Magic Recovery Technique

'Tell me what secret is hidden in it.'

Lucas was curious about it because the system acted all mysterious in the auction house and made him buy it. So, of course, he wanted to know what is hidden in it.

'Ding,

There is a secret cultivation technique regarding the magic sea.

'Huh?'

When he saw the system notification, Lucas raised his brows as he was disappointed.

He already had a magic recovery technique and what will he do with another one unless it is a high-level one because a mage can only cultivate one recovery technique.

Lucas had high hopes on the ugly beast skin and so as his disappointment was.

'Ding,

Do you want to learn the 'Eternal magic recovery technique'?

Note:- The host can view its effects only after learning it.

'Still, if it is a high-level one, I can consider changing the technique.'

With that thought in his mind, he nodded his head as he gave permission to the system.

'Swoosh'

Soon, the ugly beast skin in his hands started glowing and emitted light rays that entered into Lucas' head before turning into dust.

'Ding,

Eternal recovery technique is successfully learned. Please check its effects in the user interface.

'That was quick and painless.'

Unlike before, there was no pain in his head, making him a little surprised.

Nevertheless, he didn't ponder much on it as he directly checked the effects of the technique he learned.

'Ding,

Technique Name:- Eternal magic recovery technique (level 1)

Grade:- Unknown.

Effect:- Whenever the host uses his magic power for his spells, he instantly recovers 10 percent of magic power in his magic sea.

Note:- 1) Minimum recovery from the technique is one unit of magic power.

2) Since it is different from other recovery techniques, it can be stacked with a regular recovery technique.

'What? A special recovery technique?'

Once he checked the full information about the technique, Lucas became excited and thought, 'Now, I can train more than usual as I can recover the magic power even by spending them.'

Even though it was only 10 percent, he could use one extra 'Earth spike' or two extra 'Lightning bullet' spells.

Moreover, in the future when he increases the level ofo the technique, then its recovery percentage might even increase.

So, Lucas' previous disappointment disappeared and was replaced with great excitement.

'If the mages guild's guild leader knew about it, I wonder what he would have done? Kill me? It is quite possible.'

Lucas muttered to himself and thought back to the original owner of the ugly beast skin, the mages guild.

The spells Lucas could use only cost him 10 units of magic power; however, that's not the same for the guild leader of the mages guild who has a much bigger magic sea compared to Lucas's 100 units magic sea.

So, Elliott would have not hesitated to kill Lucas.

"I will go back to the secret training room and awaken the weapons refining talent."

Soon, Lucas thought about the next thing he wanted to do; however, he wanted to go back to the secret training room before that.

So, with that thought in his head, Lucas went back to his room.

'I need to find a way to earn 7000 gold coins in the next three days.'

Along the way, he thought about the gold coins he owed to the Alchemy guild. Still, he preferred the awakening of the weapons refining talent. So, he thought of earning the gold coins for the morning as he entered the secret training room.

'System, I want to awaken my weapons refining talent.'

As soon as he entered the secret training room, he sat cross-legged as he ordered the system.

'Ding,

Awakening the host's weapons refining talent. Please wait for some time.

Soon, the mysterious white-coloured energy appeared out of nowhere and completely surrounded Lucas and it started changing the colours just like how it happened with the young dwarf.

.....

In the weapons pavilion.

"Master, are you not planning anything for the young dwarf?"

A middle-aged man looked at the old man who was sitting on a resting chair and asked with a serious look on his face.

"Little James, stop bothering with that young dwarf. Do you really think he could become a high-level weaponsmith anytime soon?"

The old man played with his long white beard and scoffed as he continued, "First, he had to awaken a weapons refining talent, then it must be a high-level one. Following that, he needs to train for years while consuming so many resources before becoming a rank 3 weaponsmith."

"And what can a single rank 3 weaponsmith do to us? If he could train for another couple of decades then he might become a rank 4 weaponsmith who could do some damage; however, where do you think we will be after 100 years?"

The old man Finn explained to the middle-aged man named James before ending his explanation with a question.

"By that time, I will definitely become a rank 5 weaponsmith and get promoted to the royal capital and as your chances of becoming a rank 5 weaponsmith are also high once you become the head of the weapons pavilion."

James didn't answer the old man's question as he silently thought about it when he heard the weapons pavilion head continued to speak.

"So, we will be forgetting about the young dwarf, right?"

James became a little excited when he heard the old man's words and asked that.

"Not really. We will just don't focus on the young dwarf completely; however, if you ever find him in the open, be it outside the Silverstone town or outside the town, just send someone to kill him. As for the consequences, we can face them after that."

The old man revealed an evil smile on his face as he replied to James.

"You are as cool as you used to be, Master."

James also revealed an evil smile as he replied to the weapons pavilion head.

"When am I not?"

The old man scoffed at the vice pavilion head as he continued, "But, I doubt the young dwarf will be coming out in the open anytime soon and he must have already said that all the weapons pavilions in this firmament are behind the massacre of the dwarf town."

"So, it is better to pull out something about that family in the seventh chamber."

Finn continued, "Even if others find out about it, we are the monopoly in the weapons business, so, no one would bother us...Hehe."

"Yes, master. If they accuse us of something, we can ban them from buying our weapons."

James already knew the ways of the weapons pavilion as he nodded his head.

"Also, increase the prices of the weapons by 50 percent. Now, you can leave."

After finishing his final order, the old man closed his eyes as he rested on the resting chair.
