# Weekly bonus chapters (1/3)
'Swoosh'
Lucas got teleported to a cave that was filled with many tunnels; however, currently, all of them were closed except for one.
<Welcome to the Infernal mage dungeon>
Just as Lucas was checking his surroundings a cold voice resounded in the cave.
'Huh?'
Lucas looked for the owner of the voice; however, he didn't find anyone.
<I am the spirit of the dungeon. Before you enter the dungeon, I will be testing the criteria for entering the dungeon>
While Lucas was still wondering about the voice, the spirit of the dungeon's voice continued,
<Knight rank:- Mid-level squire>
<Mage rank:- Mid-level novice>
<Current age:- 18 years>
<The participant met all the criteria for entering the dungeon. Please choose a tunnel to enter>
Since he was unable to find the owner of the voice, Lucas listened to the voice and understood what was happening.
And just as the spirit finished speaking, all the closed tunnels opened whereas the only opened tunnel from earlier was closed.
"So, what would you have done if I didn't meet the criteria for the dungeon entry?"
Lucas walked towards the tunnels; however, he didn't choose; instead, he asked the spirit of the dungeon.
<Instant death>
He got only two words in reply; however, that was enough to understand how strict the rules were making the high-level knights and mages from entering the dungeon.
Soon, he chose a random tunnel because everything looked the same to him and entered into it.
The moment he entered the tunnel, he slid down at an incredible speed before falling on the ground.
"I wonder if anyone got killed by trying to fool the spirit of the dungeon."
While thinking about that, Lucas stood up and checked his surroundings.
It was an open ground as far as his eyes could see; however, he could see a turret.
'Is that some kind of castle or manor?'
Lucas muttered to himself as he decided to check it out because he could not find any other place to check for spells. So, he ran in that direction.
'Swoosh'
After running for a few kilometers, Lucas could only see the same current, making him frown a little.
"Attack this rank 3 spirit beast together."
Just when he thought whether he should give up on running in the same direction or not, he saw a group of five members fighting a rank 3 fire snake.
'Huh? How the hell did I miss them?'
This was the first thought in his head because they were only a few kilometers away from him and since it was an open place, he should have noticed them long back.
'Looks like this dungeon plays with the vision of the participants. I need to be careful.'
Lucas muttered to himself and observed the five young participants fighting the rank 3 fire snake.
'Let's go and take a closer look.'
Since there is a spirit beast, then there must be a treasure. So, how could Lucas have it like others just like that?
However, he was not rash and wanted to know more about their strengths before coming to a decision.
Soon, he reached a little closer to them and observed the strengths of the four young men and one woman.
'Weapons pavilion and Honorwolf family.'
Judging from their robes, Lucas guessed their identities and started planning something in his head.
'Brother, there is someone here watching us.'
'I saw it.'
'Should we ask him to help us?'
'I think it is better not to...'
The brother and sister who were wearing the same colour formal robes whispered to each other.
"Hey...you over there."
Just as the Honorwolf family members were having a conversation while fighting the fire snake, a young man from the weapons pavilion shouted at Lucas.
"Come and join us. We will give you your share."
That young man had a rank 3 sword in his hand as he was slashed at the fire snake before shouting at Lucas.
"I am comfortable here. You can continue."
Lucas knew they were having a hard time dealing with a fire snake despite one of them having a rank 3 sword that could inflict great damage.
If he joined them, killing the fire snake would be easy and he guessed what would happen afterwards.
So, he rejected in a flat tone making Carter furious; however, he didn't say anything as he had to deal with the rank 3 fire snake.
'Once I kill this rank 3 fire snake, I will take care of him along with the siblings.'
With that thought in his mind, Carter waved his sword even more heavily.
'Where is the treasure?'
As for Lucas, he didn't bother with them and searched for the treasure. There was a cave behind in the distance making Lucas' eyes lit up.
'Since you are having fun with the fire snake, I will have fun with the treasure.'
Soon, Lucas planned to enter the cave to take the treasure for himself.
"Hiss"
'Thud'
Just as Lucas took a few steps towards the cave, the rank 3 fire snake hissed before falling to the ground.
"Young master, we did it.."
"We killed it."
The two servants of the weapon pavilion became excited when the rank 3 fire snake fell to the ground.
'Sister be careful with these bastards. They are very hard to predict.'
However, Logan from the Honorwolf family asked his sister to be careful.
'Yes, brother.'
Luna nodded her head as she took out a talisman from her clothes and was ready to crush it if Carter did anything funny.
'Time to hurry up.'
Since everyone was focused on the carcass of the fire snake, Lucas silently slid into the cave.
Even though the siblings were keeping an eye on Lucas, once the fire snake was dead, they had to keep an eye on the bigger snake and it was Carter.
'Looks like no one saw me. Even if they saw me, I don't care.'
Once he successfully entered the cave, Lucas checked the five youngsters and slowly entered the cave.
After seeing their fight with the rank 3 fire snake, Lucas had only one thought in his head and it was, 'They were amateurs.'
Even though they have some good weapons, they were yet to master their weapon skills and as for the mage girl, she was taking a lot of time to cast a spell.
So, Lucas felt he could take them on; however, he just didn't want to start the fight and wanted to avoid it if possible.
'A spell scroll?'
Lucas was surprised by the item inside the cave because a red-coloured scroll was hovering in the mid-air above a small egg-shaped stone.
'Time to learn a fire spell.'
With a slight smile on his face, Lucas rushed to pick the scroll.
