'Ding,
Item name:- Dungeon key.
Dungeon rank:- Grade 1
Use:- A portal that leads to the entrance of an unexplored dungeon will be opened in front of the host.
Note:- It is a one-time use item that will disappear after using it once.
The information regarding the dungeon key appeared in front of him.
'With this dungeon key, the Hellmore family's development will be smooth.'
With a face full of excitement, Lucas thought in his head as he continued to fly towards the Raindrop manor.
An unexplored dungeon is just like a wild beast that he could tame by getting his hands on the dungeon core.
So, of course, he was excited because as long as he became the owner of a dungeon, he could get good resources regularly depending on the dungeon speciality.
'However, the unexplored dungeon has many dangers and the dungeon core will be heavily protected by the inhabitants of the dungeon. So, I need strength.'
Lucas clenched his head fist as he muttered, 'Tomorrow, I need to become a lesser knight at any cost.'
…..
Night.
In the Raindrop manor.
After a delicious meal, Lucas, Beck and everyone who entered the myriad primordial forest gathered in the main hall with Lucas sitting on the sofa.
Beside him, Beck was standing with the winged white lion in her hands and in front of him, Porter and the young squires were standing.
"So, how are your gains?"
Lucas asked after looking at the young squires.
The previously greenhorn squires were no longer greenhorns as they changed a lot just after their first hunt in the Myriad primordial forest.
"We successfully killed…."
"I asked about the gains, not about your kills or carcasses."
One of the young squires was replying to Lucas' question before he got interrupted by Lucas.
'...'
All the squires looked at Lucas in confusion as they didn't understand what Lucas meant by those words.
"If I kill another dozen or so spirit beasts, my mastery in sword dao will reach a small success stage."
However, one of the squires thought of something as he replied to Lucas.
"Good. What about others?"
Lucas revealed a smile as he asked the other squire.
Even though the spirit beast carcasses could be considered their gains, in Lucas' view, the actual gains would be the progress of their cultivation.
"Yes, family head. Moreover, my attacks were quicker after training for the last few days."
"I can confidently kill a rank 2 spirit beast without any help from others."
.
.
Soon, one after another, the young squire informed Lucas of their gains.
"Everyone, you are doing good. As long as you break through I will give you strength pills."
Until now, Lucas was satisfied with their progress and he tried to motivate them even more by adding, "The first one to become the Lesser knight will officially become the Hellmore family member."
"We will try our best to reach the lesser knight, family head."
Compared to the strength pills that will increase their strength by a minor rank below Lesser knight, becoming the official family member was a great temptation for them.
So, they hurriedly nodded their heads.
"I am looking forward to it."
Lucas knew he had successfully motivated them as he said, "Give all the carcasses you collected to Porter and rest for the day."
"Yes, family head."
After giving the space ring to Porter, all the young squires quietly left the main hall; however, the fire in their hearts to become a lesser knight as soon as possible was still on.
…..
"Porter, you know what to do, right?"
After the young squires left, Lucas gave three more space rings that were filled with spirit beast carcasses to Porter.
"Yes, family head."
Porter nodded his head as he didn't bother to check the insides of the space rings as he silently kept them away.
"After selling them all, give 7000 gold coins to Manager Rean and tear our debt contract with the alchemy guild."
Once he finished his words, Lucas stood up and walked out of the manor. Behind him, Beck silently followed him out of the manor.
As for Porter, he quietly left to the adventurer's guild to finish his task.
Earlier, he went to find Shawn; however, he found out Shawn was away on a mission. So, Porter came back empty-handed and decided to sell them directly to Manager Rean.
...
Just outside the manor, in the horse stable, there was a huge spirit beast sleeping after eating a rank 2 spirit beast.
It was none other than the rank 4 spirit beast, Shadow wyvern, that decided to temporarily stay with Lucas.
"Beck, can you tell me how Mages upgrade their rank?"
Looking at the resting shadow wyvern, Lucas asked Beck as he silently walked towards the beast.
Since he had to become a Lesser mage to use his sealed advanced spell. Lucas wanted to know about it and since Beck's mother was a tier 5 general mage and just a single step away from becoming the Heavenly mage.
So, he felt Beck would have complete knowledge about the Mages and their ranks.
"Of course, I will tell you, young master."
Beck revealed a slight smile on her face as she started her explanation, "A novice mage needs to learn an intermediate spell along with three basic spells to be considered as a Mage apprentice."
"As for the Mage apprentice, he needs three intermediate spells along with at least three level 2 basic spells."
"Three intermediate spells?"
Lucas raised his eyebrows because for a rogue or vagrant mage apprentice getting his hands on a single intermediate spell was already good but he required three of them to break into the Lesser mage rank.
"Yes, young master," Beck nodded her head.
"So, how will I increase the capacity of my magic sea?"
Lucas asked another question while his understanding of mages and their ranks was increasing slowly.
"Increasing its capacity is not in the apprentice mage's hands as it will increase naturally with time. The increase in the capacity of the magic sea changes from the apprentice mage depending on various factors like talent, cultivation resources, training and many others."
"However, after reaching the lesser knight, it will be in the lesser mage's hands. Every time he learns a new skill, his magic sea's capacity will be increased by the same amount of magic power."
Beck gave a lengthy explanation for Lucas's question.
Even though Lucas was asking many questions, Beck was patient and explained everything because the previous family head, Aldrich Hellmore, the father of Lucas Hellmore, didn't allow Lucas to learn magic for some known reason.
If Lucas didn't show that he had the talent in the 'Way of mages', Beck might have dodged those questions; however, now, things are different.
Their previously glorified Hellmore family from the fifth-ranked firmament 'Crystalville' fell to the last ranked 'Barren firmament'.
"Interesting."
When he heard that his magic sea capacity will be increased on learning new spells, Lucas felt it was interesting because, unlike others, he would get 'Spell scrolls' from killing mages.
Even though it was not frequent and consistent, Lucas was sure that he would get at least a spell for every dozen or two mages he killed.
"Yes, young master."
Beck nodded her head as she continued, "Also, a mage can merge into the spells or even create his own spell; however, it requires luck and experience."
"So, for now, young master just needs to focus on learning three intermediate spells and levelling up your level 1 basic spell."
"I will do that."
Lucas nodded his head as he replied, "You should do the same. So that, you can be the guardian of the Hellmore family and protect it just like how your mother used to protect it."
"Of course, I will not only protect the family but I will even help you in developing it."
Beck became serious as she nodded her head.
"I will take care of the development of the family. You just have to focus on increasing your strength."
Lucas revealed a slight smile on his face as continued saying, "Because, there will be an evil portal opening in this town in 25 days. So, increase your strength as much as possible."
Soon, Lucas explained about the weapons pavilion plan, which made Beck shocked; however, when she heard Lucas' plan, she felt it was an opportunity for their Hellmore family to rise.
