The squads from the 300th Battalion consisted of twelve total clones. Both Captains and the two scouts huddle up discussing plans on how to assault the shield generator. While the eight other clones watched the surrounding to make sure they wouldn't have any uninvited guests.
"Jack, Lantern give us the facts. What are we facing."
"It's not looking good sir. They have roughly a thousand droids guarding the walls on all sides. They exchange positions with some on the inside every six hours. So I would assume they would have another four thousand inside at the very least. I would estimate roughly five thousand sir."
"Captain Rex, those odds are even worse than we originally thought. Are you sure you want to still do this." Titan would turn towards Captain Rex, although he could see his face he knew that Rex was internally struggling. He knew how much he cared for his brothers. The 300th and the rest of the clone army is his family. He wanted to protect as many as he could. "Rex I shall support your decision."
"Same Sir." Both Jack and Lantern were smiling under their helmet. They both thought along the lines of Rex. Actually, all the clones of the 300th wanted to save their brothers in the other parts of the Grand Republic Army. They just know they were currently powerless to do so.
One of the problems for the 300th though was when one of them died from there. There was no one to replace them. A death in the 300th was a loss to the whole Battalion. With this being a mission losses are gonna be expected. The clones need to make a perfect plan. A plan with zero possible losses.
"Okay we will do this. I need every bit of Intel you can give up. No messing up. I want a completely perfect operation."
"The best time would be when they are exchanging guards. This location here would allow us to use the underground pipes as an entry. Point K is completely open for roughly one minute, it'll be their only blind spot as far as we can tell."
"Where does the passage lead then?"
"No Idea sir. All we can say is that it doesn't go all the way through, so somewhere on the inside."
"Are there any patrols in the tunnels that you can tell of?"
"No."
"Okay, we will move as quietly as possible, enter through the tunnels, we will need to improvise after we get inside. Titan I want you and your men to hold the tunnel while we enter the base. You're our only hope to escape if something goes wrong."
The group came up on the south side of the towering complex. Opposite side of the ravine from it. They awaited the patrol switch patiently. Once the droids began covering back across the bridge exchanging position from the oncoming droids the clones launched from the cover of the forest. Immediately shooting grapple guns across the ravine and jumping like a Tarzan all the way across. The walls on the bridge sat five feet tall providing enough cover from the bridge.
The clones look across to the way where most of the droids were sitting hoping that none of them would spot them. Thankfully, with the swapping they were clear all the way across. All twelve clones latched themselves to the walls and began scaling towards the tunnel entrance.
"Alright boys, so far so good..." Rex turns and notices the tunnel had mounted turrets towards the end of it. His mood suddenly worsened. By now everyone was already inside the tunnel and was about to move. "It seems like we may have to adjust our plans."
