A little while later, once the next floor had actually been established, Sigurd started spending all of its time on expanding the space a little more considering the layout of this next floor.
And so, Eisen just stepped back out of the Dungeon and had Fafnir wake up again, before making him open the smaller gate inside of the Carriage so that they could get moving already.
"Sky, Bree, can you two take care of driving?" The old man asked, and the two Fey-Kin siblings immediately nodded their heads without hesitation.
"Yup~!" Bree exclaimed with a happy grin and swiftly climbed through the window at the front of the carriage to sit down there, before Eisen opened the wooden door to the Dungeon with a smile on his face, stepping inside to now start properly working on something important. First, he stepped outside and walked to a spot where he would be able to work pretty nicely and then sat down on the floor, creating a worktable out of his element while grabbing the five boxes with the 'Great Golem Reincarnations' in them as well as the five Souls belonging to them.
And so, the first thing that Eisen did was just take them out one after another to remove the Golem Core from their chests, before Eisen swiftly started to work on re-making them with just a few exceptions. Instead of adding the 'Mind' and 'Soul' crystals, Eisen placed one soul into each of the five Golem Cores to turn them into Ego-Golem Cores. There was something else that Eisen left out, but he wasn't entirely sure if that would let this work properly.
The next thing that followed was just Eisen placing the Golem Cores back into the Metal Bodies before activating them anew, all at the same time.
[You have given the Great Golem Tank a new Form]
[You have given the Great Golem Deedee a new Form]
[You have given the Great Golem Supp a new Form]
[You have given the Great Golem Ranger a new Form]
[You have given the Great Golem Croco a new Form]
[The Five Great Golems have been Reincarnated]
At the same time as those notifcations appeared, the metal bodies of the Golems were creaking loudly, as if changing every single part about them despite not changing the way they looked in the slightest. The metal was shifting along the surface and twisting around itself in a way that seemed rather confusing, but in the end, the Golems one after another stood up and stretched.
"The hell?" A rather deep voice sounded out from Tank's mouth as he looked down at his hands confused and tried to find out what was going on.
"What just happened?" Croco then asked, but it seemed like none of the other three had any answer to that, although they got it pretty soon when their 'Memories' from their crystal brain reached their soul, which was the same time that they noticed Eisen standing next to them.
"You... You re-made us...?" Deeded muttered confused, before Tank just stared at Eisen angrily. "Don't fuck with me! What do you want form us this time?!" He yelled loudly, but was quickly stopped by Supp before he could.
"Tank, stop it... You know that something is going on... You lost your memories, didn't you, Eisen?" The Support Golem asked with what seemed to be supposed to be a slight frown, and the old man just nodded his head astoundedly.
"Yeah... Yeah I did... I'm just confused at how you were able to change your bodies to such an extent..." Eisen muttered quietly, but Tank just crossed his arms and grumbled. "We literally have souls that transcend the 'Ancient' grade by nearly a hundred times, you think we can't change a metal body a little?"
With a slight frown, Eisen stared at Tank confused, before a few different things started to click in his head. While grinding his teeth, the old man then asked something that he wasn't sure he wanted to hear the answer to.
"Ah... You were experiments, weren't you..?" Eisen muttered, and once more Tank just ground his teeth together and walked up to Eisen, "Ah, so you DO remember..." The Large Golem replied angrily, grabbing him by the throat, or at least that's what he did for a moment before letting go confusedly.
"Wait, how..." Tank whispered quietly and looked at his hands. "I can... Attack you?" He asked, and Eisen slowly nodded his head while rubbing his neck.
"Mhm, you can. Listen, I don't properly remember things from before a couple of months ago, but there are chunks here and there. But what I said right now was just a conclusion... I probably made you to try and work on that 'Lifetime Quest' about creating artificial Life, right?" Eisen asked, and without hesitation, Deedee replied with a nod.
"That's basically it, yes, but more importantly, tell us how Tank was just able to attack you! Without being commanded to, Golems can't attack their owner, not even Ego-Golems..." She explained quietly, so Eisen just crossed his arms.
"Well, that's because I left out the 'Ownership' enchantment. Or rather, I changed it around so that your Core could still be seen as a Golem Core, without me actually owning you." Eisen replied, and the five Golems looked at each other momentarily.
"Is... Is that really so?" Supp then asked, and Eisen simply nodded. "Then as free... Golems... we can do whatever we want?"
"You can. Is there anything in specific, then?" The old man inquired, and Supp just slowly nodded his head.
"I would like to leave and never see you again, if you're alright with that..." The Support Golem said quite clearly, and the others seemed to want to join in with that idea as well.
"We love you... at least I do, but... You kept us alive for tens of thousands of years and just used us for your benefit... And then told us to forever stay inside of that Temple... And THEN you come and resurrect us again? It just hurts..." Croco added quietly, holding onto her broom, and Deedee placed her hand on the short Golem's shoulder.
"It's just unfair... You were our friend when we were alive, and we died trying to protect you... We were happy to see you again at first, but then we found out why you actually turned us into Golems..."
"To sum it up, you're a horrible person." Tank added to what Deedee said, and the old man just stared at them, not knowing what he was supposed to do or say, and then Ranger spoke.
"If you truly want to help us, allow us to do this." The Golem said, but before Eisen could respond in any way, some others took charge of it.
"Stop bullying Eisen!" Caria exclaimed as she ran up to Tank and hit his legs as hard as she could, although that seemed to only end up hurting her hands instead. And while she was doing that, Melissa got out as many of her bees as she could and made them cover the five different Golems, while Sal was simply panicking about what was going on, although he also seemed to be pretty mad about hearing Eisen being spoken about in that way.
And at the same time, Sigurd also appeared in front of them. "I don't care who you five are, or for how long you've known Eisen, but how can you just say something like that? Not after a hundred, not after a thousand, and definitely not after a hundred thousand years would Eisen ever treat his friends like that, I'm sure of that!"
But it seemed like that rather annoyed Tank once more, and he pushed Caria out of the way to get closer to Sigurd.
"Listen here, twerp. I used to be a Titan when I was alive, and the Village I lived in was inside of the Giant Country, near the Town that the Grardour lived in. We went to see the different Grardour hundreds of times, but not a single time did Eisen allow me to go home, not even after message came to us that my parents died. He just said 'No', and I couldn't go because he had more control over my body than I could." He exclaimed, and then pointed over at the others.
"It was the same with them! They were never allowed to go to the places most important to them, neither were they allowed to see the people most important to them! Eisen went to those places numerous times without us, but not even once were we allowed to go! We had to live with the fact that people saw us as abominations, as sick jokes without Eisen stepping in to do something! He just stood there and had us take it all on while he was busy fooling around!"
And so, while shaking all the bees off of his body, Tank pushed past Sigurd and stepped up to Eisen, getting his metallic face as close to him as he could without actually touching him.
"The sight of him makes me sick. I'm going, and there's nothing you can do about it." Tank said in a clear voice and just headed over toward the Dungeon Exit.
And so, the five Great Golems, just minutes after being resurrected, left Eisen again. Tank and Supp seemed to be the ones most dedicated to leave, and Croco the one that most wanted to stay with him. Either way, they made their choice, one that Eisen didn't know how to react to.
In the end, there wasn't anything that he could do about it, but he still felt quite bitter about seeing them leave like that, after saying such words to him about things that he didn't even remember doing. For a little while, Eisen just sat there, trying his hardest to remember anything that had to do with the great golems at all. But no matter how hard he tried, it was just an empty hope that he didn't seem to be able to fulfill.
And just when the old man was trying to give up, a notification appeared in front of him.
