While Eisen's whistling could be heard even outside the Workshop's door, the old man just continued to work like always. A good while later, the old man finished the edge of the item and did the good-old paper-test. After holding the blade so that one of the edges was faced upward, Eisen simply dropped a piece of paper onto it edge-first. And before he knew it, the paper was split into two without losing speed in any way, as if the two halves were never togther in the first place.
Happy that the blade had the sharpness that Eisen wanted it to have, the old man then stood up and placed the giant, slightly more than two meters long chunk of metal down onto a table that he made with his element, and then grabbed all the other items that he needed to finish this up now.
First things first, Eisen added the two handles into it, which was simply done by glueing the two halves of each handle together around the thinner piece of metal that Eisen prepared for this. And once the wooden parts were attached properly, Eisen began to add a long strip of leather to the outside of each of the handles, covering it tightly in it in and attaching it with some glue. The leather was just so slightly damp, so that it would end up tightening when it dried, so that it would push both the wooden halves of the handle together more tightly, while also pressing itself properly against that wooden part of the handle.
The handle in the center of the blade was actually rather peculiar. It was rather two handles, as there was a chunk missing directly in the center of the handle. And that spot was exactly where it would be possible to attach the differend modules to create different effects on the blade itself. For now, though, Eisen just added a simple, regular chunk to it with no effect at all, so that it could be properly grabbed.
"Alright, and now… let's get to the enchanting…" Eisen muttered to himself before grabbing the mythril carving needle from next to him, as it was a different type of needle to the one he had in his left earring for sewing, and then swiftly began to work.
In this case, he was actually following the specific design for an enchantment that Evalia and Xenia came up with together, as Eisen really wanted this to end up being a dignified, powerful item, and give off just that type of aura. And the best way to create such an aura in this way was to ask the two of them.
As should be clear at this point, Eisen was the type of person to put utility above artistry. And that wasn't necessarily because of his pure mindset, either. He just never was immensely artistically talented, that was all. He had good hand-to-eye coordination, so he was able to create quite impressively realistic drawings or sketches, but he never had the artistic creativity to create art that was purely that, art.
He did like to consider himself an artist in the past, telling himself that the things he was creating were art in and of themselves and that he simply expressed art through utility, but in his later years, Eisen realized that such thoughts were unnecessary. Eisen didn't need to be an artist, he just had to be the best craftsman he could be. So that's what he was, and then chose to leave artistic parts to those that were actually good at such things.
And that Xenia knew more about enchantments in every possible way was as clear as day as well, because he could never compare his knowledge that he gathered only ever since he started playing this game to someone who literally studied mythology and legends surroundings numerous types of supposed magic or magical artifacts.
So, following what they told him was the best thing to do, really. They did a great job creating the enchantments on the outside of the ship together as well, and when Eisen saw the actual design for the complex enchantment for the blade, he wasn't in the least bit disappointed either.
Because the old man already prepared all the materials, such as the enchanted gems, for this beforehand, he only had to worry about the actual carving and setting of the materials.
And with a grin on his face, Eisen began doing just that. As the needle in his hand moved over the surface of the metal and slowly shaped it to the old man's will, Eisen could really only think about the item that he was going to finish soon, incredibly curious about the stats and effects of it.
After a while, the intricate, decorative enchantments were finished, and all that needed to be done was to set the gems into place and then finish the image-work of the enchantments, which was apparently done in interesting ways as well, similar to what Eisen was using with his more abstract ways of using images to finish enchantments.
They were nothing but patterns, patterns that were easily recognizable as certain things and could without issue be connected to them. At least individually. But as they entered the ocean of images that were placed into the enchantment, they simply added onto the peculiar decoration.
And as a last addition to this, Eisen chose to fill the carved parts in with a metal that was most likely the most perfect addition to this blade, as it would most likely not only increase the flow of mana, but also the overall strength.
And just as Eisen was thinking that, the old man grabbed the container with the molten Flame-of-the-Earth mythril in it into the carvings, making sure to have it set in a way that it would be even with the rest of the blade's body.
As mythril actually had a light blue tint to it, no matter what element it was infused with, it was actually still perfect to make it Kiron's blade, as the color-combination of the light blue of the mythril and the white of the blade seemed to fit quite well to the color of the Half-Dragon's scales. On top of that, as the enchantments were overall supposed to have a similar shape to the patterns on Trygan's scales, like Eisen had placed onto the vest, pants, and belt already, it looked simply magnificent with this added detail.
Soon enough, the mythril properly set, and Eisen made sure to fix the few areas where maybe a little bit of the metal was missing, or where there was too much of it, and then began to finish the whole thing up with a nice polish.
After the old man grabbed a piece of soft cloth and covered it in the metal-polish, he swiftly set the blade down on his lap and began to clean the whole blade up. The Steel-Potion alloy that Eisen used as a base for the blade was already the perfect metal for swords, at least according to the description on the material itself, but that didn't seem to be just due to the stat increase.
For some reason, the metal gave off some kind of inherent beauty that just fit to a blade in any possible way, so Eisen was glad that he got the idea for such materials that would heavily increase the range of materials that he was now capable of using once more.
It was a shame that he had to start at the ore-level in order to create such alloys, but maybe sooner or later, he would figure out a way to properly create metallic-ptions different to the way he did it this time.
As the old man was thinking about such things, he had already finished properly polishing every tiny part of the blade, and was able to practically mirror himself in the surface of it.
With a smile on his face, Eisen stood up and made his way out of the room, his size fully increased and his demonic transformation still activated, as Caria grabbed the vest and pants and Melissa grabbed the belt, as the two of them were following behind as they were riding on Fafnir's back to catch up.
Eisen himself was able to perfectly wield this item as he was the creator of it, but it was still incredibly, incredibly heavy. He wasn't sure if that would change when he actually saw the item as finished, but for now, it was not something that any normal person would be able to swing, or even hold, in real life.
With that in mind, Eisen made his way over to the person that requested such an item. He saw him before, just waiting an 'Patrolling' the main deck of the ship, which is what he was doing most of the time when nobody needed his help with anything.
As the old man opened the door in front of him and stepped out into the open area, he was soon faced with not only Kiron, but the other originals as well. Komer, Stahl, Vardia, Zyra, Kyla and Samurai were there as well, and even Alnico seemed to have logged on in the last little while. Surprisingly, even Kirisho as there as well, who Eisen hadn't actually seen in a good while now. Well, he had seen her, but they didn't properly talk anymore since the day that Kirisho spent watching the old man work a little while ago. Eisen wasn't sure why, but it seemed like she was actually avoiding him for some reason.
He didn't want to think that was the case, but that was simply the conclusion he ended up coming to when he thought about everything.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.com for visiting.
It seemed like the Darkness Whale had been properly taken apart as well, so the NPC workers were gone, and Eisen suddenly noticed that Sky, Bree and Dien were behind him, who had noticed the old man walk around with such an enormous item and curiously followed him outside.
And as it was practically impossible to ignore Eisen at the moment, as he was three and a half meters tall, had golden flames coming out underneath his rock-skin, as well as golden horns on his head and giant wings on his back, and coincidentally currently carrying a sword that was about as tall as the old man in his regular form, which happened to also be quite giant already.
And the sword itself was also an incredible eye-catcher, as it was a bright white and had a peculiar design and shape to it. Of course, everyone was rather surprised and curious seeing such a weapon in his hands, but a few certain people knew exactly who it was for.
While the originals looked at the half-dragon to see his reaction, Kiron himself just couldn't believe his eyes, or even ears when his grandfather spoke up.
"As you are the first one that actually asked me for an item, you're the first one to get one. Sorry that it took this long." Eisen told him as he held the weapon in front of him and then smirked. "This blade is now finished."
