Truth was, she wanted to go back to the capital but she also wanted her brother and sister-in-law to back her up and to receive the protection from the Zhang family.

She no longer had a husband. Now Old Mr. Zhang and her brother are the ones that could back her.

She found Zhang Sheng’s strong attitude a difficult pill to swallow.

Her brother doted on her before she had gotten married.

He would go along with whatever she had wanted.

Mother Gu was about to start crying.

How did these all became her fault?

How could that child still hate her after all that had happened to her?
