"Suddenly finding yourself insignificant huh?" Damien grinned. As much as he hated being rude, there was nothing more satisfying than putting people in their places.

"Does it matter who I am to her right now?" Vixen answered by finding a way around the question, "all that matters is that I probably have a much more positive correlation attached to my name in Regan's mind and," He paused bending down to ruffle her hair, "I'm the closest one to her currently. I'm sure I'll have more luck than somebody who ripped her to pieces."

"I did not- you-" Damien began, unable to find the right words to throw at Vixen.

"Stutters aren't cute, so I suggest you make up your twisted minds before trying to speak and make a fool out of yourself, but anyways, I have to thank you," Vixen smiled locking eyes with Regan, "without your stupid decisions, I wouldn't have my favorite pet right now." He got up and ran his hand through his hair, "Don't worry, I'll fix her right up. So well she wouldn't even bother to remember dirt like you."

"What-"

"Bye," Vixen muttered, gripping the phone harder, as he slammed his finger into the hang up button.

Silence hugged the room as anger oozed off Vixen. His mind buzzed and ears rang hearing only Regan's sniffles. Pathetic. Why are you so weak?

He avoided eye contact with her and pulled out a tissue from his pocket, then threw it at her, "fix yourself please the sight is horrific."

He watched as she pulled out a tissue and buried her face in it.

Vixen sighed and squatted in front of her, staring at her face for a moment before brushing a strand of hair covering her eyes to reveal her puffy gleaming emerald eyes. He waited until his violet eyes met with the emerald diamonds in her eyes before pinching her cheeks, then pulled her by the shoulders into his embrace, hiding her small body behind his broad shoulders.

"Stop involving yourself with people that make you cry," Vixen whispered into her ears, calming her with his voice, "A crying pet doesn't grant satisfying entertainment."

He pulled her away and stared into her eyes one more time before getting up, "I'm going now, you better have stopped crying when I'm back for lunch," He smiled when he saw her damp shirt, "you're the only person I've met to go through two sets of clothing in a day. Keep up the entertainment, I'm not bored anymore."

He turned around and walked to the door but stopped when he grabbed the handle to turn back to take one more look at her. Her hunched shoulders quivered as she covered her face with tissues. Even without seeing her face, her back displayed all the pain and sadness she had in her, it made him sick. I don't know if I should be mad or jealous of that prick. He opened the door and disappeared to the other side.
