"I need to go since other people are waiting for me, I would like to leave early so I can go to them quickly so I can eat early," Vixen sighed, he looked up to her with hopeful eyes, "that's ok right? I'll be back tomorrow anyways…. I'll spend more time with you then."
Media debated the issue in her head for a second before giving a nod of approval, "I'll hold you to that promise!"
"Of course!" Vixen grinned, reaching over to pay Media on the head for a second before standing up from his seat in the ground, "I'll be going now… bye."
"Bye-bye, see you tomorrow," Media smiled.
"Make sure you eat well! Sorry, I can't be here again," Vixen sighed.
"It's okie, now GO! or else I'll regret telling you to leave," Media chuckled, smoothly brushing her fingers along her hair, in the same spot Vixen touched.
"Got it." Vixen grabbed the handle of his cart and trudged towards the door, trying his best to keep him steps light.
'I thought I had imagined it at first but…It's there… that scent of lemon,' Voice xen thought to himself, as he opened the door of Media's room and plastered a fake smile on his face as he waved his final bye to her.
'Finally done with that act… my cheeks were starting to hurt,' Vixen groaned.
He shut the door and looked across the hallway, his scowl appearing at twice the harshness than before. There, across the hall was Adam, flirting with another girl in his drunken state. His hand on her waist and other hand caressing her hair. The sight that wasn't unusual to see him in, but only became more appalling to Vixen the more times he had to strain his eyes by even glancing at the scene.
Vixen stared at the moment playing before his eyes in disbelief, anger rushing over his body. He pushed aside the cart and ran his fingers through his hair, his gaze fixed on Adam. 'That fu*ker.' Calmly, he walked over to Adam and the girl, giving the girl a strained smile when she noticed his presence before turning to Adam.
"I will give you 2 minutes to explain," Vixen announced.
"Eh? What you want now bro?" Adam groaned, he side glanced at the girl and nodded in her direction with a smirk, "as you can see, I'm kinda busy."
"Room 213. Explain," Vixen spat, his patience slowly dwindling.
"Oh, that girl?" Adam muttered, giving a light shrug after, "you mad or something? I didn't touch her if you were trying to go after her. I told you I don't go after girls you serve."
"So who's room 215 then?" Vixen retorted, trying his best to keep his tone monotone in front of the girl, "the more you tell lies out of that repulsive mouth of yours, the more time you waste."
"Did I do something wrong?" Adam sighed, taking his hand off the girl's waist, "you can't expect me to remember when I'm like this."
"Down to one minute," Vixen reported, resisting the urge to tap his foot impatiently.
Vixen locked eyes with Adam, his eyes glowing with malice, "get your filthy hands off me or you'll be seeing a resignation letter on your desk in a day."
Adam flinched, immediately releasing his grip on Vixen's collar. "Tch."
Vixen brushed his collar and then pulled out a napkin from the back pocket of his pants, wiping his hands before putting it back in his pants. He locked eyes with the trembling girl and switched his entire mood to soothe her.
"So sorry about this, but whatever you have planned with this man here will have to wait," Vixen smiled, "I have to speak to this man here."
"Ah… Vixen Cloud?" the girl blushed, turning from Vixen to Adam and then back to Vixen, "but… I had something real-"
"Three days supply of the premium food plan, unlimited eatings," Vixen wagered.
"You got it," the girl grinned, waving Adam goodbye and then running her hand down Vixen's sleeve as she walked past, "call me."
Adam's eyes trailed the girl's movement as she walked away, longingly. When she was out of sight, he turned back to Vixen in full rage.
"WHAT THE HELL MAN? YOU JUST CAME HERE TO DO THAT??!" Adam yelled, raising his hand to push Vixen but bringing it down when he noticed the hard stare he was receiving from him. "IF YOU WANTED A LADY THAT MUCH, YOU HAVE 4 TO PICK FROM! YOU LITERALLY SERVE THEM DAILY!! WHY MESS UP MY GAME?!"
"Do they look like chess pieces to you? Why do you refer to them as your pastimes?" Vixen growled.
"Because they are. And quite frankly, I'm only with them because we both have something we want that we see in each other so why not take advantage of that?" Adam shrugged, "you have NO REASON to be doing this so step aside so I can go."
"If you think for one second that I care about whatever bilge relationship you have, then you've finally gone mad," Vixen rolled his eyes.
"Then what do you want??? You've stood in front of me speaking in fu*king parables for the last minute and you expect me to somehow read your mind?" Adam snapped.
"That better be the last time you curse at me, please control your potty mouth," Vixen smiled, his lips curling into a smile but eyes barely moving at all. "Lemons."
"Lemons?" Adam repeated, "what lemons? Why are we even talking about lemons?"
"Because suddenly you think you can pass lemon-scented shampoo, lotion and perfume to room 213 and think I won't notice," Vixen sneered.
"Lemon scented…." Adam murmured under his breath, "AH! I REMEMBER!"
"Oh that's great, your sluggish mind finally caught up," Vixen nodded, "now, explain."
"Geee," Adam smirked, playfully punching Vixen's chest, "I just wanted to help a girl out ya' know."
Vixen cocked his head and went in an arrogant and demeaning stance, clearly fed up with Adam's words.
"That girl there, or actually, most of the girls you serve are head over heels for you and contact me to help them get a bit closer to you. She was no different," Adam shrugged, "she gave me money and I gave her a hit to win you over. Lemons wasn't it? She was elated to find out how obsessed you were with that scent."
"So you earn money from them by making them pay you in exchange for information about me?" Vixen asked.
"Yup," Adam nodded his head proudly.
"What are you? A mercenary?" Vixen snapped, "who gave you permission to sell my information to others? WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU CAN GO AROUND TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT ME JUST FOR A FEW BUCKS? DO I LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF MERCHANDISE TO YOU?!"
"Geez, chill man. It was just a few words of advice and then it was over," Adam shrugged.
Vixen walked forward, inching closer to Adam until he pinned Adam to the wall. "If I should hear about this one more time, every piece of information about me that you gave to those girls, I will find about you, multiply by 3 and give to my father."
Adam flinched, shivers running down his spine as he made eye contact with Vixen, the longer he stared into those empty vessels of purple, the more his presence shrunk.
"Got it?" Vixen murmured, with a voice barely over a whisper then turned around and wiped his hand with his napkin again.
"Y-yea… sure I got it," Adam replied, his voice wavering a bit.
"Good, it was goi-" Vixen began.
"But damn no need to be a little prick about it," Adam muttered under his breath, "I wish that lemon ass thing worked so you would've just stayed with the girl."
"What," Vixen paused in his step and his head slowly turned around to Adam with such stiff mechanic movements that creaks could be heard, "the fu*k did you just say?"
