101 Take A Bite

"Sooo," Antonin stood up, picking up the things he used to make the pancake and walking back to his cart to put them down. "What do you think?" he asked, quickly rushing back to his seat on the opposite side of the table.

"Can... I?" Regan muttered, her sentence broke up as she took in the pancake. Her mouth watered. "Can I even eat this? It looks too good to be eaten."

"Hahahaha," Antonin laughed, "would you prefer I arrest you for taking a bite?"

Regan looked up at Antonin and smirked, "I wouldn't even mind. Go ahead."

Antonin paused, taken aback by her reaction. 'Relaxxx Ryder…. Breathe,' Ryder thought.

'Shut up, what are you even thinking about?' Antonin scolded.

'Don't act all innocent, you know we thought the same thing,' Ryder huffed. 'Same thing? Don't make me laugh,' Antonin rolled his eyes.

Regan picked up her knife excitedly and began to cut into her pancake, her eyes gleaming with happiness as the layer of syrup on the surface of the pancake dripped down the middle of the cut. "Beautiful," Regan muttered.

"Hehe, I know," Antonin giggled proudly.

Regan dipped the pancake slice into the whipped cream and stabbed into a strawberry then hurriedly took a bite. Her soul felt like it left its body. "So goooood!" she exclaimed, her high-pitched voice perfectly vocalized how she felt about the pancake.

'I'm not even going to comment on that one,' Ryder muttered. 'Stop ruining this moment Ryder,' Antonin snapped back.

"It's good right?" Antonin grinned, leaning into the table.

"Too good!" Regan squealed.

Ryder was captivated as he tried his best not to take over. 'She looks so… inviting,' he thought.

'Control yourself,' Antonin warned. 'Yes, yea, I know. No need to remind me every 1 minute,' Ryder huffed. 'That's because you keep forgetting every minute,' Antonin spat back. 'It's not my fault,' Ryder retorted. 'Pretty sure it is.'

Regan couldn't help herself. It was slice after slice, a generous dollop of whipped cream and a strawberry on each bite. It tasted perfect and looked perfect. It was perfect, at least to her. 'Why wasn't it served like this before?' she thought back to the days Vixen served her and a look of dismay overcame her face. 'Did he deprive me of all this goodness this entire time?'

Antonin cocked his head, "Hmm? You seem to not like it though. Your eyebrows are crossed… you look mad?"

Regan turned her head to him immediately, disbelief of her face. "Hate it??" she gasped, turning back to the perfect plate of pancake and then back to Antonin, "is that even possible…?"

Regan's eyes widened in surprise, her bright eyes looked like they had been enlightened. "Is that so?" she muttered to herself before shrugging her shoulders, and pressing her fork into another piece of pancake, "those people must be psychopaths." 'I won't be surprised if I found out he is for serving me those plain pancakes,' she thought to herself but held back on shaking her head to prevent confusing Antonin.

"You like it?" Antonin asked.

"Hell yeah!" Regan grinned as she bit down on another bite of pancake.

Antonin let out a little chortle. 'She looks like a chipmunk,' he thought to himself, a bright smile forming on his face as he watched Regan eat. She turned to him to give another thumbs up and he gave a thumbs-up back and gave a brief observation of her happy face to store in his memory. 'Ah…' Antonin muttered, his eyes falling to her lips, 'that…'

He tried to ignore it but it stuck out to him every time she turned to him. Although she looked even cuter, it was starting to bother him.

"Miss. Regan…" Antonin called out.

Regan let out the lowest groan she could give while dancing on the cloud of pancake in her mind. "Miss. Regan, Miss. Regan, Miss. Regan, can you stop that?"

Antonin flinched, "I should stop calling your name?" his shoulders dropped a bit but he nodded submissively, "ok then… I will."

"HEH?! Nono," Regan chuckled, "I want you to stop calling me Miss. Regan, it makes me feel old."

"Ah…" Antonin nervously touched his neck, looking up at her sheepishly before looking away, "then what should I call you?"

"By my name please," Regan smiled, turning back to eating her pancake.

"You want me to call you by your name, Miss Regan?" Antonin cocked his head.

Regan simply nodded, too preoccupied with her food to turn to him. "You called me that before, so why did that change to Miss. Regan again?"

"Then… Regan?" Antonin muttered shyly.

Regan giggled as she turned to Antonin, "Yes Mister. Antonin?"

Antonin froze for a second and within a moment had closed the space between him and Regan. His eyes didn't know where to look, at her beautiful eyes or her lips. He did know which one he wanted to touch though and he was so close to it. Too close.

"Antonin?" Regan muttered, looking up at Antonin in surprise, "you like breaching my personal space now?"

Antonin's eyes traveled back to hers and he snapped back into reality, his face fully flushed. He nervously reached behind him to grab a tissue and quickly shoved it in front of Regan's face.

"What the-" Regan muttered, her head retracting momentarily because of the tissue and she shot Antonin a glare. "Yes, I see it's a tissue, no need to shove it in front of my face."

"A-ah… no this was-" Antonin stuttered, ruffling the tissue in anxiety. He leaned forward and raised the tissue to her face, gently wiping off the whipped cream on her lips. His skin tingled when his fingers lightly brushed against her lips. "Done," he announced and immediately leaned away from Regan, hanging his head low as he placed the tissue on the table.

He clutched the hand that touched Regan with his other hand and dropped them below the table.

'Who needs the control now?' Ryder smirked. 'Still you,' Antonin retorted. 'Ugh so much pride I feel like throwing up,' Ryder rolled his eyes. 'Please not here,' Antonin rolled his eyes back at Ryder. 'What were you going to do then?' Ryder chuckled. 'Clean her lips,' Antonin shrugged. 'After that, idiot,' Ryder sighed. 'Clean...her cheeks?' Antonin's eyebrow furrowed with confusion. 'You don't need to get that close just to clean her mouth,' Ryder teased. 'w-well… I wanted to! Why can't I move closer if I wanted to? Would you have stayed in on place if it was you?' Antonin pushed. 'Of course not-' Ryder began. "See~" Antonin smirked. "No. I would have actually made the move, chicken,' Ryder snapped back.

"Oh, thank you," Regan grinned, touching her lips. She turned back to the panic and wolfed down the rest.

"YEA… I mean, yeah. You're welcome," Antonin smiled, "glad you liked it…"

"Hmm," Regan nodded. She finished the rest on her plate and dipped her fork into the mix of syrup, whipped cream, and strawberry juice leftover on the plate, then raised it up to her lips and licked it. "Even the reminder of the pancake is straight-up amazing."

"Yea," Antonin grinned, watching her as she licked the sweet mix of the ingredients. He looked full just from watching but he had to admit, she was distracting.

"I bet you're good at cooking too since only your decorating gives the pancakes a whole new flavor," Regan giggled, licking her fingers.

"Hm… no, not cooking. I know how to boil water though and bake but anything cooking is a big no for me," Antonin furiously shook his head.

"Facts. The cooking is left up to me," Ryder smirked, "you can come over later and we can have some ramen."

"Shut the fuc-" Antonin began.

"Hahahah, shall I?" Regan giggled.

"Yes please," Ryder eyed Regan.

"At least try and control your perverted gaze," Regan chuckled.

"And why would I do that? You need to know exactly what's on my mind when I look at you," Ryder grinned.

"Aish, your jokes are getting out of hand," Regan smiled.

"Are they?" Ryder cocked his head, a smug smile on his face, "I don't want to though."

"You're making it hard for Antonin to even talk to me. Have you seen how hard he blushed? The fact that it shows on his skin is scary. He looks slightly red most of the time he talks to me," Regan teased.

"Hm, maybe it's from that. Only the boy knows himself though. Right Antonin," Ryder raised his eyebrow.

"Correct Miss. Reg- R-regan. Regan is correct. You don't know how to shut your mouth," Antonin pouted.

"There is one way to shut my mouth though," Ryder smirked, turning to Regan, "wanna try i-"

BANG

Regan jumped back when Antonin slammed his head into her table.

He looked up at her with a bright smile as a small drop of blood ran down his nose. "Sorry about that," he grinned, ignoring his nosebleed, "I felt my control slowly dripping away so I had to take some… measures to get it back."

"And…" Regan watched a deep red drop of blood fall unto her table. She calmed a little. "That was to slam your head into the table?"

Antonin nodded. "Yup."

"Ha," Regan muttered, "ha..haha..hahahHAHAHAH YOU IDIOT HAHAHAHHA."
