Chapter 4：Goblin Hunt 2

The guard aim was a forest on the feet of a large mountain chain that extends on the land around six hours of the village. On the road, we barely cross path with other travelers. Since the road was flat and the land considerably plain, we cross a great deal of distance in a short time.

As we attain the forest, the highway split in two, one continuing in the forest and the other on the right.

The forest of this world doesn't seem to greatly differ for is former one, only the size of the trees where a round larger. In the forest, the path was still as easy as before since the highway continue in a straight path.

-fangs and core, that all, goblin meat is not good for human, so we can't eat it. It skin is also too thin to be useful, that why they aren't that hunted. Since we are not adventurer, we cannot take of their ears of for reward.

-Are they this dangerous, aren't them only H rank monster?

-The most basic goblins are not that dangerous, as they can only attack with fist we can take them of easily, those of we need to be careful are the weapon holder one as they are classified as G rank monster. After the basic goblins are the weapon holder, they carry rough wood mace, knifes, sword, shield, bows and spear, those ones are the greatest treat we can encounter here and need to be two time our number to be a treat since they have greater force that the normal goblins. They can be considerate as the apex of the goblin and are only inferior of the magic goblin. After they exist evolution of them, but they will not be rank G anymore but F ones.

-How do they come to possess weapons?

-It's simple; they take it on the corpse of defeated people. But don't fear anything they will need to be at least thirty of the stronger goblins in this forest before being a treat for us since all of us are at least rank 3 spark realm guards.

-What can we have found in this forest other than those goblins?

-Horned rabbits are also quite common here, they are half time larger than the normal one and have a twenty-centimeter-long horn on their forehead, contrary to what people think they are omnivore and can eat goblin meat but their own is rather good, the meat, the horn, core and fur could be taken, in other word, a complete rabbit can bring three time the amount of money than a goblin and their furs are good to create cloth against cold that are cheap. They are rank H like goblin but are slightly dangerous since they are quicker and they're using their horn to puncture their opponent.

-How much can bring the two?

-Goblin core could bring 100 areus and fang 20 each so, around 180 areus per goblin. A horned rabbit core brings the same 100 areus, a complete fur 150 to 200 and the horn 50 to 100 areus according the size, shape and appearance and for a maximum of 400.

-Haven't you say that a horned rabbit brings three time the price of a goblin?

-It does if one sells the meat.

-Rather, it still cheap.

-For young master yes but for people, defeating a horned rabbit each day is sufficient to feed a family of four correctly if they kept the meat and sell the rest. For single person, is sufficient to live in the village inn for a complete rabbit. If one were an adventurer, they could bring a proof of the subjugated monster and gain additional areus for monster subjugation.

Looking above it, I saw a spear stabbing in it. More with reflex than my own will, I grab it with my other hand before pulling with all my might.

Surprised by the sudden pulling force, the guard fall of his horse, coming crashing on the ground on his shoulders. Right after, cursing rings in the surrounding. All the guards immediately stop as the ear or see the scene. Due this he also has learn to how dismantle beasts, how to separate the edible part on the other. More than once he ingests toxic part and near poisoning himself. Because of this he has pass a great part of his free time to read books, on edible plants, dismantling and cooking one.

After the first edition of those plus the knowledge of the books, he starts to peacefully pass those trial, bringing back skin of hunted beasts time to time with him. That why he was able to restrict the howls of pain and react. In the wild, if he let hears those scream, he would clearly attract another predator who will dive on a weaken target and will die if he can't fight back.

When entering this "hunting mode" is personality will take a huge change, permitting him to bring the maximum of his capacity to survive. This was precisely those instinct who push him to threaten the young boy with the spear, if they want to strike back, he will be able to bring down with him the young master and none of them would be able to keep alive once the baron hears of it.
