Chapter 6:The dark pavilion

After an unknown time, I open my eyes, my mind was completely clear and my body weightless. All around me light blue walls and besides, a marble bed. Rising of it, I couldn't sense or see the slightest wound on me, even my cloth where different as I was draped in a plain white robe like cloth. The room was not more than ten-meter square and only have the bed and a door.

Walking to it, my step no let a single sound, as well as the door when I open it. Outside the room, a bright gentle green light shone high, erasing every shade on the ground. On me to side, rows of doors cast on a single wall extends out of them, people dress in the same cloth exit the very odd time of the same one.

'How could they exit of the same room, they are only a door and the bed inside?'

As I look at the one who exit the room, all seems to go gaze the same destination. There,

a large crowd seem waiting for something. Followings the other, and join the crowd that now have transformed in a long single line. It at that moment that I realize that since I came here not a single sound have been produce or hear. The face of the other seem to be calm, as if they know what happen.

Even with this number of people, the crowd advance rapidly and before i could became bored a change in the horizon. Without knowing when, the large hard ground have transform in a narrow bridge where only a single person could stand at time.

it only when I start to climb down it, and thus seeing the surrounding in a larger scale that I understand that I was on it.

Behind me, the same row, and where the bridge connect again to the land, a guardhouse like structure. After each passage, they seem to split on go toward different destination each. The one behind the open window of the post seem to be a young on his first half twenty with dark brown skin, black eyes and red iris, and is forehead, a slight slit between is brow that I take for a possible third eyes. In front of him a baseball size blue crystal ball was lay on a silver color pedestal.

-Put your hand on the crystal please.

Strangely, the voice was emotionless, all like his face but polite and pleasant to the ear.

Putting his left hand on the crystal ball, it illuminate of a profond dark. Seeing the light, the emotionless face immediately cracks as impressed eyes fall on Nalrin as the slit on his forehead quiver imperceptibly . Without a word, a same colored wooden token was retired of under the widow and give to him.

-Go directly to the pavilion, hand over the token to the first men in armor, he will lead you.

-Where…

-I know you have question, but for the moment, please keep them, they will be answers in no time, but not by me.

-Ok.

Following the instruction of the young man, he passes the post and goes with the crowd as the sound shut once again. The moment the post disappears behind him, eighteen pavilions appear in nine groups of two. each of the group were made of a dark and bright pavilion of red, blue, yellow, brown and green. The four other group where also of the dark and bright shade but with silver, gold, purple and the last was of a translucent shining color similar to diamond . Slightly confuse as to not see it, a nineteenth black pavilion flash and the side, seeming incorporeal. Before each pavilion, different numbers of peoples were gathering in linear column, waiting for their turn to come, only the black one have none.

Nearing the pavilion zone, armored guards split the crowd further, indicating the exact one according the color of the token. Once again, his turn came rapidly, and face an armored guard who seem to also be quite young. Once again, the sound seem to came back all around him.

-Token.

Nalrin hand out the grey token he had kept in his hand since the moment he receive it. Like the previous, the guard was slightly astonished by the color of it but resume rapidly his countenance.

-Follow me.

Heading toward the dark pavilion, they pass in front of the different ones and the large crowd gather in front, waiting for they turn to pass, to finally arrive in front of it where no one stood.

-Enter the pavilion, someone will guide you inside.

Handing again the token to him, the guard immediately depart regain his post. As he was left in front of the large tower, a faint oppressed felling pressure him, preventing him to take a step. Gathering his courage, he takes the first step toward it; closely follow by a second and a third. Once he was in motion, his steps steadily move toward the entrance of the pavilion. Pushing slightly one of the double door in front of him, its open without the slightest resistance. Right after entering it, he faces this time a young woman in soft dark dress who smile at him.

-Please this way.

Whit an arm motion, she indicates to him a stair who leads to the superior floor.

Taking the lead in a total silence, the two starts to climb one by one the steps of the stair. Passing floors by floors, Nalrin was only leaving to admire the craved walls. On them succeeds scene of battle and landscape, all crave in the soft grey material that he was unable to tell the origin, being only smoother than the smoothest slick he has never touch. Each of those battlefields was different. Somewhere not stranger to him showing past battle through the age in ancient Persian and Rome, Gaelic battle against legion of Romanian army, but also European middle age and even the first and second world war. On the furthest walls he could also gasp of different country wars. On a different floor, same scene of battle with different race was also present. Each floor seems to have his one world war history and beautiful landscape and even universe part who seem to real on the dark wall that one could think of falling in is he was too near of it.

Before entering the pavilion, Nalrin have count no less than ten floors and seem to pass by all of them before finally entering the last floor. Right after exiting the stair, large backboard of dark woods seems to form an octagonal shape and completely shut the area inside. Arriving in front of a complete dull part that melts in the complete complex craving, she lightly pushes a particular, pear shape fruit on a tree, opening the backboard and revealing a way inside the shutdown area.

The woman stood at the same place, letting me step on the small way delimited by the same backboard. After three corners, a large room opens in front of me. Inside it where to cushion on the floor, separated by an end table were a slightly larger crystal ball than the precedent stood on a same silver pedestal.

Before long, a faint light flash as a humanoid form appear. The one in front of me seem to be a woman in her early thirty. She was clearly the most beautiful woman I have never seen; dress in a plain simple night dark gown than couldn't stain her beauty. The single ornament on her was a silvery golden pin sustaining her hair in a simple hair style.

As she takes sight of me, faint smile draws on her spotless, jade like face.

-Sit.

The voice was not imposing but an immense pressure falls upon me. While looking frail, she seems to have sufficient power to turn me into dust with a single back hand motion.

Taking place on the cushion after me, she gazes gently at me.

-Put your hand on the crystal.

Acting without the slightest time lag, I put nervously a hand on it.

-There no need to be crisped; I will not act against you.

Even if my hand relaxes a little I couldn't prevent the slight unease in my heart.

On again, a soft light glow exits the crystal. Contrary to the first, a translucent screen appears of the light.
