After the emotional reunion with Sara and Mr. Viktor in the Kingdom of Rosofia, we were all able to return safely to paradise together. At one point, I thought that Sarah might leave the group, but in the end, I think it was a good trip because it strengthened the bond between all of us.
After such a heartwarming trip, I felt a bit distracted and spent the time just going back and forth between the labyrinth city and paradise as if it was a routine.
Well, there were many things to do in the labyrinth city, such as Marie's fervent request to collect rejuvenating herbs, paying tribute to the labyrinth core for materials to be discarded, offering materials to Mel and Meral, and observing Lee and Darkmoon's fighting and thieves' training.
I also spent time in paradise, playing with Belle and Sakura, dealing with the little spirits who came to visit, improving the facilities in paradise, developing new dishes with Ruby and the others, and thinking about the development of Sake Island.
Such a relaxing yet busy situation will probably change from today. At least for a while, I think, the stimulating time will continue.
After all, the completion of the extension of Mr. Toruku's inn, the completion of Sylphy and the other great spirits' house, and the completion of miso and soy sauce coincide with each other, so there's no reason why we can't be busy.
They were supposed to be completed at different times, but only Sylphy's house was completed as scheduled.
Mr. Toruku's inn was the result of the selfishness of the guilds and the side effects of the commercial guilds and the cooking guilds. Martha's sermon was overcome, and the extension period was extended through changes in the extension plan.
Miso and soy sauce are tasted and determined to be still young. Vita activates the yeast and we extend the period of time for the soy sauce and miso. So the three plans coincided with each other perfectly.
All of them are a blessing, but they will definitely keep me busy. Is it a combination of Bon and New Year's at the same time?
As I was walking along the familiar streets of the labyrinthine city, thinking about various things, I approached the inn I was looking for.
I know the general scale of the inn since I used it during the construction of the extension, but this is the first time for me to see the completed inn, so I am a little excited. I was told that I would have to wait to see the new part when it was completed, so I was not allowed to see it.
I was the one who gave the advice, so I was a bit confused, but Martha said that she wanted to surprise me in her own way.
I like surprises and look forward to them, but as an expert in surprises, I am ready to complain if the surprise is not good enough.
"Oh, Mr. Torque!"
When I arrived at the inn, even before I saw the completed inn, I saw a strong-looking man looking up at the inn in front of it. Judging from his deep emotion, he must have been soaking up the sight of the enlarged inn.
"Oh, Yuta, you came!"
"Yes. Congratulations on your new opening.
Hmm? Newly opened" sounds like a pachinko parlor, but it's not just a word for pachinko parlors, is it? Well, it doesn't matter, since the translation conveys the meaning.
"Congratulations, Mr. Torque!"
"Congratulations, Mr. Torque!"
"Congratulations, Mr. Torque!"
"Congratulations, Uncle Torque!"
"Congratulations", "cue", "congrats", "koo koo", "happy birthday!" ......"
Following my congratulations on the opening, Gina and Belle also extend their congratulations to Mr. Toruku.
Well, they probably didn't hear what Belle and the others said, but these are feelings, so even if they didn't hear, something must have been conveyed to them.
"Oh, thanks, guys!"
Torque-san smiles happily, as if his feelings have been conveyed properly. His face is scary, but you can feel how happy he is.
"But you know what? When you look at it properly after the construction is finished, it's quite big.
It's just a store next door, but the space between the two stores is included in the building, and the height of the building has increased. The exterior itself is not so different from the other buildings, but I think it is more powerful because it is larger.
"That's right. I knew what it looked like from the drawings, but it's huge in person. I still can't believe how big my inn has become.
Mr. Toruku looks up at his inn again. He must be feeling a lot of joys and anxieties.
It was originally supposed to be a smaller scale addition, but since the inn was the starting point of the "City of Gastronomy" project, there were requests from the commercial and culinary guilds.
Thanks to the financial support, they are not so much in debt, but the financial support will increase the pressure on them. However, it seems that Mr. Toruku got carried away by the financial support, so he deserves some of the blame.
"You're busy with the opening tomorrow, don't just stand there, get to work! How many times at all have you gone outside to ......? Ah, Yuta. You're here. Welcome.
Martha came yelling out from inside the inn. Apparently, Mr. Toruku had been looking up at the store over and over again.
"Hello, Martha. Congratulations on your opening."
As I had told Mr. Toruku earlier, I, Gina and the others, and Belle and I congratulate Martha on the opening of the new store.
"Oh, thank you. Oh, wait a minute. You're in trouble in the kitchen, so get to work. I'll be Yuta's guide.
"Oh, hey. I'll take care of Yuta and the others. ......"
"Just do your job."
Mr. Torque gets smaller and walks into the inn. As usual, he can't seem to beat Martha.
"You're so full of it, I can't help it. Come on, Yuta, I'll show you around and you can see the completed inn.
"Well, we're busy opening tomorrow, aren't we? I can give you a tour after things settle down, okay?"
I was specially invited the day before the opening, but I didn't want to bother them with my busy schedule.
"I went out of my way to give you 10 days off before the opening. Don't worry, we're all set."
But you're busy, aren't you, Mr. Torque?"
Isn't there some kind of contradiction with what Martha said earlier?
"The kitchen is the only thing that's busy. They're making themselves busy by rearranging the equipment two days before the restaurant opens, so they deserve what they get."
Martha looks disappointed. Mr. Torque has gone off the rails again. It's understandable that he's concerned about his own kitchen, but not two days ago. Well, if Mr. Martha can spare a few minutes, I'll ask her to show us around.
Okay, please.
"Yes. The adventurers' area hasn't changed that much, just a little more space, so I'll show you the general area.
Martha leads me into the inn through the public entrance.
She said that the entrance was separated for the purpose of separating adventurers from the general public at the request of the commercial guild, but the interior is completely different. It is not extravagant, but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Most of all, the flowers on the counter are amazing.
Gina, Sara, and Kikka seem to like it, and it seems to be designed with female customers in mind. ...... Never mind that Sylphy doesn't seem to be interested in it.
"The atmosphere is totally different."
"I don't feel comfortable either. But Betty said this is the kind of atmosphere we need to have if we're going to welcome the public, so we've separated the dining room from the rest of the building. Well, it's just to keep the riffraff out."
It's sad to see how unimpressive the adventurers are, but it can't be helped that most of them are ugly men, and they're not very nice.
Passing through the counter, we find a large dining room in the back. It is about three times larger than the previous one. That's how popular Toruku's food is. Hmmm... the dining room is separated by a wall in the middle.
Huh? I was thinking like it's someone else's problem, does that mean I can't use this place either? I don't have a problem with the adventurer's side, but it's a little sad that I can't use it.
"Martha, can't we use this one?"
"Not even Yuta can do that if he's wearing adventurer's gear. But if you're a regular customer without gear, you can use this room too. Well, not too much trouble, though.
"Won't the adventurers be angry?"
You mentioned quarantine earlier, but I have a feeling that some adventurers might complain if it's this blatant.
"The adventurers will be happy if we separate them from the general public, since they will be more concerned if there are too many visitors. It would also make them feel bad if they are afraid of us.
Well, it sure feels bad to be scared. I guess they don't want to mingle with the general public since they were originally guests at an inn for adventurers.
"So, this is the private room, but you'll see it during the evening meal. I'll show you the room you'll be staying in first.
A private room. Private rooms for banquets and private rooms with a slightly more expensive food selection. I'm a little worried about how it's going to turn out, since I suggested it.
Hmm? I'm not in the adventurer's room?"
I appreciate the special treatment, but I really don't want to be cramped or not allowed to wear my gear.
"There's a floor for regulars. There are corridors leading in all directions, so you can take whichever one you want.
Well, that's convenient. Since neither Mr. Torque nor Ms. Martha seem to have thought that much about it, it must be a proposal from the commercial guild. It seems to be a very leveraged proposal.
I followed Martha with admiration and was led to a room on the third floor.
The room itself has not changed that much, has it? Is it a little bigger?"
It is a newly renovated part of the hotel, so it has the cleanliness of a new building, but the atmosphere is not so different from the previous room.
"It's not like we've switched to a more upscale inn, so the rooms don't look that different. Well, we made rooms for the rich at the request of the commercial guild. I don't know about you, but I don't feel at home here, do you?"
I'm sure it's not the right thing for you to say, Martha, but I'd rather not have an uncomfortable atmosphere.
"No, this room is fine. I'm a little tired. Can we rest until dinner?"
There still seems to be much to see, but I'd rather not detain Martha the day before the reopening, even though she is fully prepared. I think it would be fun to take a look around on my own, just for the sake of exploration.
"Really? Then you can relax a little. Torque has thought of everything for the evening meal, so you can look forward to it."
I understand. I'll look forward to it."
Come to think of it, we haven't had any surprises for Mr. Torque yet. So, is the main order of the day a meal? If something new is on the menu, I'm quite looking forward to it.
