The strong wind carries the faint sound of the windlass heaving up the anchor. I walk faster and step into the dock. Two ship crews raise their heads up and find me staring darkly at them. Their eyes go round in shock and fear as one of them pull the radio from his belt.
"Deploy the gangway! I repeat, deploy the gangway. Mr. Damari will aboard the ship!"
"Mr. Damari, let me carry your luggage."
"Thank you."
I follow him as he leads the way towards the highest level of the cabins. He's assigned me into one of the Royal suites but I frown and look at my phone. Diana is assigned at the Grand suite, one floor below mine.
"Do we still have vacancies at the Grand suite? If possible, I'd like to stay either in front or adjacent to room 443."
"I'll make arrangements, Mr. Damari." He bows down his head and pulls his radio out.
"I'll go down there first." I hand him my calling card. "Call me on this number for confirmation. Also, don't tell anyone that I aboard the ship. The lesser people knows, the better."
"Understood, Mr. Damari."
I head towards the elevator and go down to where Diana stays. The hallway to Grand suites is silent. Just as I start inspecting the number door after door, Diana suddenly appears at the other end of the hallway. Ah, shit! Taking a quick detour, I enter into the tiny emergency door and hide.
"Hey, you cant be here." A ship crew snaps at me.
"Just a moment." I tell him calmly while peering at the crack of the door and wait for Diana.
The ship crew suddenly pulls his phone out and frowns at the message. He pales after reading it before putting his phone away and looks at me apologetically. I roll my eyes and shake my head. Didn't I just warn him not to inform everybody I'm in the ship? Did he want to lose his job or something?
I quickly exit the tiny room and follow Diana as she goes up at the Entertainment deck. People who mostly gets into that deck are male and I start to feel unease. As soon as I enter the deck, I take the seat that sees the entire room especially my wife.
Diana grabs a beer from the counter and saunters toward the pool table to watch the guys play. Although she's standing there seemingly interested with the game, her eyes tell me she's not really seeing anything. She's in deep thought given the crease on her forehead.
Through Damari lawyers, this cruise is gifted to her after she's passed the board exams and at the same time to make her relax and unwind. She's never been out of the country before. Ever since she turned eighteen, I've gifted her a free vacation every year to various countries she might enjoy but she's never taken them. Only now she indulged me by taking the cruise but she seems not enjoying her stay at all.
After Diana finishes her drink, she quickly leaves the Entertainment room and proceeds into the Waterpark deck. My heart starts pounding once again. Only when I get into the deck did I calm down when there's only few, mostly women, that are present.
Diana takes her long coat off of her body and my jaw drops seeing she only have swimsuit underneath it. Jesus! Did she just get into a deck full of men with only that thing under her coat? Is she testing my limits? I release a calming breath and sit on the reclining bench, grabbing a mag to cover my face.
Ah! What am I doing covering up my identity now? Didn't I plan to finally reveal myself to her this time? But I'm nervous and afraid of being rejected. God! I never thought I've reduced myself into this pathetic form after following Diana for years and waiting for scraps of chance to get near her.
I drop the magazine down and decide to man up. Nothing will happen if I'll continue to cower like this. I should take the initiative now and introduce myself. Probably seduce her or something. I rub my nape worriedly. How exactly should I seduce her when I've been out of practice for so many years?
