Chapter 96 - You'll Have To Pay

Right now, Lina was inside her room and she was trying hard to figure out what exactly Lucille was trying to do earlier.

"If she wanted something, then she should have tried to break into Uncle Pat's home office and not into mommy and daddy's bedroom!" She stroked her chin and thought hard but couldn't find any clues.

"I need to go and look in that room to figure out what exactly she was there to find!" She said with determination and pumped her fists in the air like an old lady being cut off in traffic.

*Knock knock*

Lina turned towards the door and saw Wayne and Wade peeping their head in through the half-opened door.

She just signaled them to come in and they quickly entered.

Wade came and sat beside her but Wayne straight away dove into her bed.

Lina chuckled and threw a pillow at him while Wade scowled looking at his brother's childish behavior.

"Nana…! I'm not sleepy, let's hang out. We rarely get a chance when all three are free so why waste it by sleeping so early?" Wayne suggested and Lina loved that idea.

"Aren't you guys the least bit bothered that Lucille tried to break into uncle and aunt's room?" Wade asked in an astounded way.

"Nah!" Lina and Wayne were both too unconcerned about what had transpired earlier.

'These idiots!' Wade just shook his head at their indifference.

"Chill out, baby bro! She couldn't even get the door to open, why are you so worried?" Wayne blew him a kiss and winked at him.

'Eww..!' Wade shivered when he saw that and moved away from him.

"Forget about her! Let's go watch a movie!" She dragged them out of her room.

'Uncle Pat can handle it for now.' Lina did not want to waste her time before the auction on those two annoying squatters that had invaded her house.

Luo Residence had a state-of-the-art home theatre that Lina always used when she came here as a child.

Now she was curious to know just how her photography and movie buff Uncle Ace had improved it.

They reached the home theatre and Lina was stunned looking at how awesome it was.

They had the latest surround sound speakers. The seats were changed to comfy looking recliner couches that were big enough to seat three at a time.

'Looks like Uncle Ace remodeled this place keeping his snu-snu time in mind!' She silently giggled and shook her head when the twins looked over.

"Can I pick out the movie?" She batted her eyes at them and they instantly melted when they saw her pouty face.

They handed the controls to her and settled down in the seats with a warm blanket over them.

'Suckers!' Lina smirked and silently switched on the movie.

She then settled between the two brothers and pulled up the blanket to cover her entire body because it got cold in there.

The movie started and they began to whine when they saw that she had chosen a sappy romantic movie.

She just ignored them and paid attention to the screen.

After a good ten minutes, the real twist in the story took place.

The sappy romantic movie was actually a full-fledged horror movie that could scare your pants off.

Lina could hear Wade and Wayne's screams and whimpers as they covered their eyes with the blanket.

'Serves you right for annoying me!' She chuckled and ate the buttered popcorn as she enjoyed the movie.

All the boys in the family were extremely scared of horror movies and would always try to flee away.

But this time, Lina hooked her arms in theirs and held them tight to make sure that they watched it till the end.

She was merciless and no matter how much they pleaded she made them sit through the entire movie.

--

"Can we please watch something else?" Wayne warily looked around when he felt that someone was behind him but there was no one there.

Seeing them scared shitless, Lina decided to pardon them and put on a real old school romance.

They finally settled down and calmed their jumpy nerves by watching this one.

Halfway through the movie, Lina had gotten bored and she fell asleep between them.

They noticed her sleeping after the movie had ended but did not have the heart to disturb her.

So they pulled the blanket over themselves and they too decided to sleep right there.

Thus three siblings slept on one couch while snuggling with each other.

---

'Urgh... Shut up!' Lina twisted and turned when her sweet sleep was being disturbed.

*Ring*

In her sleep, she could still hear the annoying ringtone that was causing her to wake up.

She could hear the ringing next to her, so she picked it up and blindly answered it without looking at the caller.

"Hello…? What do you want?" She groggily snarled at the opposite person.

"Hello? Who are you? Where's Wayne?" A man's furious voice was heard from the other side.

'Wayne? This weirdo calls me and asks for Wayne?' Lina was pissed off.

But then she felt that her phone was still in her pocket so this really was Wayne's phone.

'But that doesn't mean that people can keep calling him this late in the night!' She huffed.

"Wayne is asleep! Something that you should be doing too!" She lectured him and then rudely hung up.

After throwing the phone back at him, she went back to sleep.

----

On the other side of the town, a fuming man looked at his phone and was cursing out loud.

"What the hell? Who is she to tell me what to do?" Reuben glared at the blank screen on his phone as he paced around the room.

"Wayne needs to find better women!" He threw the phone on the couch and glared at it.

He had just completed his work for the day and he wanted to call Wayne to ask him whether his designer friend had agreed to create a design for him.

If not, he would have to ask Asst Kim to find someone else before tomorrow morning.

But he had never expected to get lectured by some woman who was with Wayne.

"Wayne! Just you wait! You'll have to pay for your lady friend's behavior!" He gritted his teeth and after taking one last look at his phone, he strode to his room.

--

He wasn't the only one who was pissed off,

Inside the Exterior Block of Yang Manor, Lucille was cursing her luck as she iced her swollen fist.

She felt like punching someone but just the thought of doing that made her fist to throb painfully.

'Not only is my luck completely useless, but my daughter is also a good-for-nothing!' She gritted her teeth.

Right now, Mandy was inside her own room drunk and unconscious.

Lucille remembered her drunken slurs and was glad that she was now fast asleep. Or else they would have been kicked out of the house.

She recalled her drunken words and frowned.

"Mum, you know what? Isn't that bitch Lina all proud that she has a room in the main house?" Mandy hugged her mother as Lucille dragged her towards the room.

Mandy's friend had just dropped her at the front door and given a call to Lucille when no one else would open the door for her.

It was just after 9 but Butler Ping had shut the main door because Lina had informed him that she would be staying over at the Luo's.

So Lucille had to drag Mandy through the side door and struggled to get her to bed.

When Mandy fell on the bed she resumed her storytime.

"She's all smug about being able to go up that staircase right? So I did something that would make her fall on her ass!" She giggled and whispered in her mother's ears.

Lucille disgustedly moved away when she smelled the strong stench of alcohol from her.

"What did you do Mandy?" She questioned, but when she saw that Mandy was dozing off, she slapped her hard to wake her up.

Mandy glared at the person who slapped her but when she saw that it was her mother, she shut her mouth.

"What did you do!?" Lucille asked once again in a louder and angrier voice.

"Why are you so angry all the time?" Mandy started crying abruptly and this shocked Lucille.

"I'm sorry baby, mum just has a lot on her plate and you've been missing for the past two days. So I got worried." Lucille stroked her cheek and consoled her.

Mandy nodded cheerfully and told her mother about the brave deed that she had done.

She called her mother close once again and whispered in her ear.

"I spilled my body oil on the stairs. That way, when she comes down, she'll slip and fall on her butt!" Mandy giggled and clapped her hands.

But then she frowned.

"But daddy will be angry if that bitch complained to him, so I asked my friend to take me away for the weekend. That way they can't blame me for it!" She smiled deviously.

Lucille was sure that she had not heard anything about Lina getting injured, so that means her plan failed.

Lucille sighed because if that amateur plan had worked then her plan to snoop around would definitely fail.

She tucked her drunk daughter in bed and went back to her room to prepare for her mission tonight.
