(Short chapter just to bridge two arcs and fill in some stuff. Lot's of prep in here. Enjoy!)
In a dark room, three people were sitting. The room was made of reinforced metals and was virtually impossible to break into or out of. There wasn't even a door. The only source of light was the dim lamps in each corner of the room.
Tyler was sitting back in a chair. He was reclining with his feet on the table. Across from him sat Stone and Rose, the two new recruits.
Several beads of sweat rolled down Stone and Rose's faces. The source of their anxiety was the contract in front of them. It was an extremely comprehensive NDA. The release clause involved the complete wiping of one's character.
Stone sighed and rested his head on his hand. "This is… thorough."
Tyler nodded and took a sip of his drink. "Of course it is. If you knew what you were signing up for, you'd understand. The only ones that are allowed to know anything about this are the ones involved. All information pertaining to this has a Level 5 clearance."
Stone raised his brow. "What does that mean?"
Tyler laughed. "I learned about this the other day. Basically, the clearance levels correspond to the rank you hold in Limitless. Level five is only privy to the Vice Guild Leaders and the LIA Director. The information has the potential to not only affect the guild but the entire galaxy if disclosed."
Stone grimaced. "I'm guessing we don't really have much of a choice."
Tyler shook his head. "If you want to have the ability to get to my level, this is your only choice that doesn't involve leaving it up to chance."
Stone sighed as he reluctantly placed his hand on the datapad, signing his life away. "Rose, we have nothing to lose at this point but everything to gain. Let's do it."
Rose nodded and followed suit.
Tyler smiled. "Wonderful. Let's go to the conference room. There should be some people waiting for us."
Several minutes later, they arrived. As he opened the door, everyone stood up aside from Obi Wan, Anakin, and Kai.
Tyler waved his hand. "Everyone sit. This is important and I don't want to waste time. Xander, is the blockade in place over Korriban?"
Xander nodded and pressed a buŧŧon. An image of the blockade came up on the huge screen in the front of the room. "36 cruisers with full complement, civilian operated with guild officers. The armada is commanded by Wolfgang Bang as you've requested."
Tyler smiled. "Wonderful. Sonia, activate lockdown protocol. Confirmation code 82169."
A robotic voice responded over the speakers. "Code accepted. Lockdown initiated."
Metal bars reinforced the door and several inch thick, metal plates came down and reinforced the walls. The room was now impenetrable and soundproof.
Tyler took his seat at the head of the table. "Everyone here has signed the NDA so we can now begin. I am starting something known as the Revan Corps."
Obi Wan sighed. "Draco, are you sure it is okay to reveal this?"
Tyler nodded. "I've thought through it a lot. This will be the key to winning this war."
Obi Wan shrugged. "Very well. I just hope this doesn't backfire."
Tyler laughed. "Don't you worry one bit." He then turned his attention back to the rest of the room. "Several years ago, I was sent on a mission by the Jedi Temple. Kai, Obi Wan, and Anakin joined me on this mission. We investigated an ancient Sith Citadel in an area known as the Valley of the Dark Lords. It is located on Korriban. Within the citadel lie the tombs of the most infamous Sith Lords and figures in the history of the order. They include Darth Krayt, Darth Bane, and Ajunta Pall, the first Dark Lord of the Sith. Korriban is also home to an ancient Sith Academy."
He pressed a buŧŧon and images of the Valley of the Dark Lords popped up on the screen. "I will start by saying that we are lucky that we took control of the system before the Sith could. Inside the temple, we investigated each of the tombs. Each one contained something that was left behind by the one who was laid to rest there. At some point during its existence, a man by the name of Revan was in control of the world. During his life, he was both a Jedi Master and the Dark Lord of the Sith."
"This isn't a history lesson so I will get to the important part. His legacy was balance. Having been a warrior for both sides of the force, he found his salvation in death by embracing the force rather than just the light or the dark. Revan's legacy is giving those who are strong in the force the ability to become Revanites. These warriors are capable of using both the light and dark sides of the force without falling to their temptations. Currently, the only four known Revanites are Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Kai, and myself. Are there any questions?"
There was only silence. Everyone was just trying to wrap their heads around what was said.
Tyler smiled. "Good. So the next step is to have a very selective amount of force sėnsɨtɨvė people attempt the trials to become a Revanite. All of you here are the first ones that will attempt them. In accordance with the new contract, you will each receive a considerable raise. I will remind you, this is going to be the key to winning this war. Head there immediately. You are dismissed. Xander, stay behind please."
Everyone shuffled out of the room in silence including the three Jedi NPCs. The only remaining people were Tyler and Xander.
Xander sighed. "What else is there to discuss?"
Tyler smiled. "I was curious about the status of the experimentals."
Xander's eyes lit up. "Three squads are ready to move out upon your orders. Napoli has been handling the operation personally."
Tyler's eyes widened. "That is good news. Are they still stationed at the citadel?"
Xander shook his head. "Nope. We moved them to the Naboo facility for easier deployment."
Tyler nodded as his plan began to formulate. "What is the status of Admiral Mcree?"
Xander took out a datapad and tapped on it a few times before looking back up. "He is preparing for deployment to Ryloth. They reached out to us directly for aid."
Tyler raised his brow. "Have Mcree pick up the experimentals on Naboo before moving to Ryloth. What of the Republic? Will they be cooperating with us?"
Xander nodded. "Our ambassadors are finalizing the details with the SASC right now."
Tyler smiled. "Good. That means we will have the support of the clones. Things are moving along nicely. Anything interesting going on?"
Xander chuckled as he knew what Tyler was asking for. "There are reports that a mystery weapon is tearing through fleets. General Plo Koon is headed there to investigate."
Tyler laughed. "Wonderful. This should be fun. I'll be off then or I'll miss out on the fun." He lifted his right arm and pressed a buŧŧon on his comm. "R2, prep my ship. We got work to do."
Xander waved as Tyler rushed out of the room. "Have fun! Don't forget to call your mother every once in a while. She was complaining about it to me."
Tyler laughed. "I will. Don't worry."
-GE-
A clone officer walked through the bridge of a cruiser. He approached someone and stood at attention. "General, the meeting is about to begin. All is set."
Tyler turned around. "Thank you." He then walked through the bridge and passed through a set of doors. A few holograms were already on the table. They included Windu, Yoda, Obi Wan, and Valorum.
Valorum smiled upon seeing Tyler. "Draco, thank you for joining us."
Windu nodded. "Now that we are mostly here, let's get started. The CIS has come up with some type of weapon. This mystery weapon has struck in a dozen systems and disappeared without a trace."
Valorum sighed and shook his head. "We cannot afford to lose any more ships, my friends." Two more holograms popped up on the table. "Master Skywalker and Ahsoka. Have you had any success in finding General Grievous' secret weapon?"
Anakin pressed a buŧŧon and a hologram popped up. "Master Plo was here in the Abregado system when we lost contact."
Tyler raised his brow. "What did he say last?"
Anakin sighed. "He said that they had tracked the weapon and requested for reinforcements. We have had no further contact with General Plo Koon. The absence of any distress beacons indicates that his fleet was…" He paused as he and Ahsoka made eye contact. "That his fleet was destroyed like the others. We are about to prepare a rescue mission."
Valorum shook his head. "Hasn't clone intelligence reported this weapon never leaves any survivors?"
Obi Wan nodded. "The Separatists are being unusually tidy. They don't want any witnesses."
Yoda sighed and shook his head. "Tragic are these losses, but prevent more we must."
Tyler scoffed. "I smell Count Dooku all over this. We must tread carefully as we are almost prepared to resume our offensive."
Windu nodded. "I feel the same. All our battle groups will be reassigned to guard our supply convoys, including yours, Skywalker. I'm afraid we can't risk any more ships with a rescue mission."
Tyler smiled. "I would also like to add our medical facilities to that list. We can't allow them to be caught off guard. I will move out to Kaliida Shoals since that is the closest one to the last known position of the weapon."
Ahsoka then cut in. "Wait! Just because there haven't been any survivors before doesn't mean that there won't be any this time."
Valorum nodded. "Boldly spoken for one so young."
Obi Wan sighed. "She is learning from Anakin."
Anakin shook his head. "Excuse my padawan. We will deploy as you have instructed, master."
Tyler smirked. "Enjoy the trip, Anakin." Anakin and Ahsoka disappeared from the table. "As for what I said, Master Windu, let's have high command determine the proper deployment for each fleet."
Windu nodded. "Indeed, Draco. I have a feeling that your idea will be of great help to us quite soon."
Tyler shrugged. "Only time will tell. I must be going, gentlemen."
Yoda nodded. "May the force be with you."
Tyler smiled and nodded. "With you as well, Master Yoda." He pressed a buŧŧon on the table and the holograms disappeared. He then walked up to the bridge.
Blaze walked over. "General, what are your orders."
Tyler smiled. "Perfect, you're here. Organize the fleet and head over to Kaliida Shoals. Set up a defensive formation there and be on standby. I'll be taking a detour."
Blaze tilted his head. "Where to, sir?"
Tyler laughed. "The less you know, the better." He then left the bridge and headed to the hangar.
R2 rolled over to Tyler as he walked out of the elevator. He beeped excitedly.
Tyler chuckled and patted the droid's head. "You ready for some fun, buddy?"
R2 beeped some more and rolled towards Tyler's fighter.
Tyler hopped into the ċȯċkpit and quickly took off after R2 was secured. "R2, set coordinates for the Abregado System."
