Fighting a Crystal Fish? Oh, that's right, that fish nearly killed me. This old man must be the one that Fighting a Crystal Fish? Oh, that's right that fish nearly killed me. He never trusted people, but he was not someone who was ungrateful, so he tried to speak up to show his thanks. However his throat was parched so he couldn't talk.
"Here drink some water, the name is Henry Low by the way." He said as he handed Danny a glass of water. Danny gratefully gulped down the water as he groaned due to the pain of his injuries.
"You have been out for three days. You lost a lot of blood from fighting that fish, but I gave you some medicine so your wounds should be mostly healed. You will still be sore, but you will not have any major problems." Henry explained to him.
After drinking the whole glass of water Danny expressed his thanks. "Once I am able to walk I will be out of your hair, but I promise to pay you back in the future. I am sorry for the trouble."
"If you leave you wont be able to survive for more than a week out there. I saw your fight with the Crystal fish you have no combat ability at all, however you were very calm. Have you received any sort of training before?" Henry asked curious about Danny's past.
Danny nodded "I was trained to use a sniper before. I can hit anything within five thousand meters with a ninety percent accuracy." "Well I hope that ninety percent accuracy helped in your fight with the Crystal Fish" Henry mocked. Danny didn't reply and just focused on recuperating himself.
After a while Henry said "How about I teach you how to fight, and use a sword? Then maybe you can survive a while longer, it isn't every day a kid as young as you gets sent to Sector-K" Henry offered. Danny thought about it for a while and slowly replied "Why are you doing so much to help me?" Pain flashed across Henry's eyes as he became slightly downcast. "I used to have a son who was about your age when he died...I just don't want any other parents to have to go through what I did".
"I have no parents" Danny curtly replied. Henry sighed "I guess i'm really helping you to hide the pain I am feeling. I'm helping you for me. I'm saving you because I was unable to save my son, but I am able to save you...I guess I'm trying to make up for that. Somehow." Henry replied.
Seeing the sincerity in Henry's actions he decided for the first time in his life he would try and trust someone. Henry was the one that saved him, and what did he have to loose anyways. Danny looked at Henry saying "I'm Danny, Thank you for saving me and I look forward to your teachings in the future."
That was three months ago. Now he has made some minor achievements in his fighting and sword skills, able to take on two other people alone if they also had a sword. He was a fast learner with amazing talent. Able to master a lot of the basics in a fast time.
He stood up from the grass and brushed off his pants and he headed towards the lake that was in front of him to get a drink. It was called Mud Swimmer lake because the fish inside had the ability to swim through the earth. He bent over to scoop up water with his hands and gulped it down. As he was drinking he heard someone yelling "Slacking off again are you? You haven't even evolved your ability yet and you still think you have the time to slack off?"
Danny looked up and saw an old man with white hair hanging down to his shoulders. He had a stern look on his face showing that he wasn't happy Danny was slacking off. Of course this old man was Henry. "I think you need a catalyst to help you evolve your ability. You have trained, but never been in any danger. It is about time you start hunting, so I will take you to the Sunset Mountain range." Henry told him.
Danny had been training with Henry for three months and eventually Danny began to open up to Henry and started to trust him. He had gotten fairly good at melee combat and using sword skills learnt from Henry, however recently all Henry was talking about was evolving his ability.
This all started when Henry saw Danny using his ability and noticed that it was different from the other people who have Eagle Eyes. His ability didn't make his eyes change when he used it like the others. This caused Henry to go on about "you have a different ability" and "once you evolve we will finally see what it actually is" causing Danny to start training his ability. He always accepted before that his ability was Eagle Eye and never questioned it before, however with Henry's repeated talks he began to get curious as well.
This is what led to Henry taking him to Sunset Mountain range. Henry wanted him to face life and death fights that would cause his ability to suddenly evolve. Of course you can train it by repeated use, but you need to get fighting ability as fast as you can when you like in a dangerous place like Sector-K. In the three months that he has been here He saw Henry kill four people who tried to harm him.
Sunset Mountain Range was full of fierce beasts. The fierce beasts are divided into ranks that display their threat level the higher the rank the more dangerous they are. The ranks going from highest to lowest were SSS-SS-S-A-B-C-D-E-F. If a Human was able to solo kill a beast of any rank then they would be classified as the same rank. There are also beasts of higher level than SSS, but those are just classified as world class and they are the most rare of all. The mountain range they are going to is classified as a D mountain range because all beasts in it should be rank D or lower. It was the perfect spot for Danny to start his training.
