Chapter 4 - Hera Familia's Pride

The second year of living with Kane and spending time with Meteria, my sister, I am already 3 years old.

My nightmare starts here and now.

Training.

He trained me by making me run, do push ups, an dmany more exercises first before proceeding to the real training after an hour-long rest.

Twice the strength of gravity, carrying a half of my own weight using weights that seems light but these bands are heavier than they look. These bands are placed on my arms and feet, while I wear a necklace like Broly's in the non-canon movie that is also heavy, and a heavy waistband.

Even with the help of my breathing, I am having a hard time since I could only maintain it for minutes. Since that's the case, Kane said that I shouldn't carry heavy weights yet and I should get attuned, or used to the strength of the gravity which is a challenged itself.

Aside from that, Meteria and Kane were sometimes fighting since every single time I finished training, I will directly hit the bed. She wants to play with her cute little brother, which is me. No, I'm not a narcissist.

Well, since I'm three years old now, I do not need a mother's milk. Now that I think about it, did Bell also experienced hell? Probably not, he's not a transmigrator or something.

Since I'm 3 years old now, I am doing a lot of things around the house. But right now, we're going somewhere else outside Orario.

Meteria doesn't need to hide her face since she's exactly not participating in any expeditions of Zeus and Hera Familias does.

"Silver, are you ready?" Kane asked me, who was about to go down.

"Alright, I'm ready." I got down from the second floor and followed them.

"Since we are going on a town, we'll be coming along with the merchants going in there." Kane explained as we walked down the streets of Daedalus street.

Yep, Daedalus Street have smaller streets since it's literally a labyrinth which Orario got its title, Labyrinth City of Orario.

We traveled to northeast gate since the merchants and their caravans are in there. Their caravans were much like what I expected. They looked like that from Vinland Saga. Also, the Anime itself was good as well. Did I say good? Oh now, all Otaku woul hunt me because I said good. They wouldn't, right? I hope.

As we traveled with the merchants, me and Kane, mostly Kane, were talking about what is happening around the world and news from other countries as I kept listening to their discussion.

After a few hours, we finally arrived the right place. A town where we should go. The town of Atmos, a town that is kilometers away from east-northeast or Orario. It is more on the east than exactly northeast.

"Alright, let's drop off." Kane said, telling us to exit the caravan.

"Drop off?" Meteria doesn't know the word, even though we speak English with a little bit of Japanese mixed in, Kane's way of saying to get off of the caravan was strange as we won't be dropping, do we?

He's one mysterious person. First, he have Dragon Balls; next, his way of talking sometimes meant another thing; and lastly, he exudes a terrifying aura that I got used to after a year of living with him. I know that it was Kane's natural aura and it also felt suppressed as I could also feel other's presence which I can't sense Kane as if he was a ghost, a phantom, something that shouldn't exist yet exist.

It was really terrifying.

A big but, not those wiggly cheeks.

But, I already got used to it so much that even if a level 5 tried to scare me, I won't feel threatened at all. It will only feel as if the one that was looking at you was a caged wild animal that couldn't do anything but stare daggers at you.

Well, I got USED TO his SUPRESSED terrifying and powerful aura.

Anyway, we got off and Meteria was calling my name as I was out of focused due to thinking that intimidation from a level 5 would be nothing but a breeze.

"...lver! Silver!"

"I'm awake, I'm alive. Don't worry." I said with a smile that I tried so hard only to fail.

Yep, I can't properly smile after witnessing my own mother die in front of me.

I pulled out my necklace with green gem on it from underneath my shirt and stared at it. It was my mother's favorite necklace, her necklace. Now, it was mine. I hid it back underneath my clothes and looked at Meteria which I caught frowning that quickly turned into a beautiful smile.

I think she thought that I didn't caught her frowning. I'll find out why she's frowning, or it might be because she's planning on getting Bell back along with Alfia.

"Here it is! Hera's house that is sitting like a sore thumb." then he mumbled which only I heard, "Man, that old hag is really crazy when it comes to Zeus..."

'A YANDERE?!' I shouted in my head but shook it afterwards.

"It's been a year since I've met her. Originally, I was planning to..." Meteria said, but trailed off and then shooked her head to forget what is in her mind.

"Well, shall we go in? I'm pretty sure that ha- I mean, that lady would be glad to see that you're still kicking."

"Kicking? Well, I can certainly kick."

"N-no, not that. I meant, that you're still alive and well."

"Oohh... So, that's what it means..."

"It's a... Nevermind. Let's go in."

He knocked on the door thrice with the same interval. Wait, how did I know? I think I have affinity for Time, or I have keen sense of hearing. The latter is much more possible than the former.

"Zeus, is that you? Did you-" the door opened and thus the voice of an old woman stopped speaking.

"I am Kane, and I'm sure you'd be glad to meet your Familia members." Kane said with a smile on his face.

Hera turned to look at Meteria, then me, then back at her. She suddenly hugged Meteria because she disappeared after she gave birth to Bell.

Then, she looked at a 3-year old young boy, me, and pinched my cheeks.

"Soooo cuuuute!"

Let's skip what happened next and jump onto what is important.

• 3rd Person POV •

A young boy was seen sitting on a short stool.

In front of the brat, were two people. A woman with silver hair and green eyes, and a man with black haired and black eyes. Meteria was the former while the latter was Kane.

Behind the kid, was an old woman who seems to be already on her 60s.

She's holding a needle and prickled her own finger and let out a single drop of blood at the back of the child. His back shined until there seems to be a barrier that has been erected on top of his back.

The old woman, Hera, was shocked at what she saw. She proceeded to write his status on a paper by placing it against his back and moved her finger in a circular motion on the paper.

"Here, look at this..."

They all looked at the paper.

"I can imagine him bombing an entire city with one spell: Explosion." Kane said with a grin.

"What?! He can't get stronger physically?! How would he protect himself?" Meteria asked as she is worried at the young man's safety.

"Don't worry, I'll train him to get stronger in normal ways. Like the people in the Ancient Times do. Exhaust yourself until you can't stand, breaking the limits of humanity by their own will and power." Kane replied to her with a smile.

"That doesn't make me feel comfortable." Meteria said she frowned.

"I'll be sure that he could handle anyone. Just, trust me on this one."

Hera suddenly spoke with a proud smile, "Silver Sterling, the pride of Hera Familia! Soon, his name shall be known and will save the world."

Blacksmith - Enables the user to add special abilities to their creations.

Mage - Improves power, widens effect range, and makes mind usage efficient. Creates a magic circle under the user that support the magic.

Mana Regen - Allows to recover mind by automatically absorbing the mana in the air, from nature's excess mana, and spells' mana particles in the air that can't be seen that hasn't dissipated.

Metalworking - enables the user to work faster when creating things that are made of metals. (just my opinion)

Mixing - Improves quality when creating items such as potions.

Mystery - Allows the user to activate a miracle and create magic items.

Perception - Raises one's intuition and all senses except the sense of taste.

Perseverance - Pain resistance rises and mind down have less effect. Less effect means, faster recovery from mind down, but it doesn't grant faster mana regeneration.

Treatment - Increases the effectiveness of healing magic or simple treatment of wounds and injuries.
