Chapter 18 - Bend the Rules

"I'm a Craftknight."

"I've never heard of it." Tsubaki said as she slowly examined the katana.

Hephaestus is just silent.

"The handle was made earlier, not pre-made." Silver said and saw their reaction.

Hephaestus was the most shocked, "You just made the handle earlier? It normally would take a day to make one using a ray's skin so we use animal hide instead and then paste it."

"Replace my current blessing with yours since I already have permission to change from my deity." Silver said as he walked closer to them since he was standing near the door to her office.

"Wait, you're already a part of familia before?" Hephaestus asked, wanting to know how he could craft such weapon in short time. "What level are you?"

"Hm... Level 4, reaching Level 5, at the same time Level 1." Silver told them vaguely, making him a mysterious entity.

"Fine."

Silver removed his shirt which earned a blush from the deity and a whistle from the Cyclops. His body muscles are compacted properly and his body is lean. He have 6-packs that has another room for another pair of abs.

Silver sat on the chair nearby the table of Hephaestus. Since Tsubaki was there, there is an extra chair that wasn't supposed to be there but, wherever it can from or whoever brought it shouldn't be the one we should focus on.

With his back facing her. She used the katana he forged and used the tip of Kagira which is so sharp that she only pressed her finger a little against the tip to prick her finger.

But before she could drop her blood on his back, she noticed and recognized the blessing on his back. It was Hera's blessing. She was shocked to see a member of Hera Familia join her own Familia.

"I am not fond of wasting time, you know." Silver commented with his monotone voice which means he's annoyed of the delay.

Yes, when he's annoyed, his voice is monotone. Unlike when he normally talks like a stoic and stern person with a little bit of stubbornness.

As to why the members of a Familia needed a permission, it is because there is a lock on the blessing, trying to resist forced conversion. However, there is another way to convert someone by force, but that is for another story.

"What?! How could you have many Development Abilities? I see, it's because of this ❲Polymath❳ skill... Juno? No way... And ❲Spellcaster❳ that allows you to use ANY Magic? Level 1, but your Magic is weird. It says, 4."

Silver answered that question, "It's Level 4. It levels up once it reaches past the maximum value. So, my magic is equal to a level 4, or maybe higher because it broke through S-rank and became SSS-Rank at Max before resetting back to lowest value, but the number beside Magic becomes higher. It's because of the ❲Spellcaster❳ skill which also doesn't allow me to increase the rest of my Basic Abilities other than Magic."

She placed a paper on his back and printed it on his back.

"It's done." Hearing those words from Hephaestus, he covered his body back and stood up.

Hephaestus passed the paper to him.

"I can't list all your Development Abilities nor all your Skills. And since your skills are basically a cheat, I didn't listed them just imprinted all your Development Abilities instead. I don't want anyone to know."

'Even if they know, they can't get since I got it from an Eternal Dragon who grants wishes to those who managed to find all Seven Dragon Balls.' Silver chimed in his mind.

"8 years. I'm 20 by now." The last one was a lie.

Not even gods could discern if he's lying or not as long as he have his stoic face and is very calm since it is still have some few holes, but thanks to being cold, calm, cool, and stoic, those holes are covered as gods are like living lie detector.

Deceit for bluffing, Fake for both emotions and status, and Hide for both hiding and sneaking as well as hiding emotions. These are the abilities of a professional con artist.

If Explosions can be an Art, if Stealing can be an Art, then Bluffing is also an Art? No one knows, but if the right person have these, they will be useful in underworld, not the underworld of gods, but the underworld of humans.

Soon, Silver left after he fed her answers to her questions with either lies or truth to satisfy her curiosity.

After coming home, he was greeted with nothing but a silent house.

He entered and looked around. He saw many bedrooms upstairs. When he looked around again in the first floor, he saw a room with many books.

He looked through all the books' covers until he saw one that shouldn't be even there.

He pulled it and the bookshelf the book was in was pulled back until it was deep in the wall before it move downwards, making the book he pulled go back to its last position.

"An entrance that would automatically close itself once I enter. Nice one, but could have been better." Silver commented and entered through the secret passageway that appeared.

After walking in there, his eyes met lots of books. When he looked, all of them are about magic and some things like concept and there's even books on how to use photon energy and manipulate it. There are so many books for different things that he concluded that he might find something he needed here.

And after almost an hour of searching, he found many books. They are for: Magecraft, Projection, Tracing, Reality Marble, and Hacking.

All of these except Reality Marble are connected to Magecraft. Since he can't use Magic Circuits, he searched for a book that can unlock one's Circuits. Unfortunately, there are no books for that but there are some list of people of how they unlocked theirs, and they are all different on each person.

He'll find a way to use these Magecraft without Magic Circuits, but right now, he needed to find a book about tampering because the book for Hacking of Magecraft was different.

And he found one.

He started using it, and the guinea pig is himself. He used it to tamper and change the set of rules his skill ❲Spellcaster❳ have in order for it to allow him level up.

Despite getting OP skill like this one, he is doomed to be a mage, and he doesn't want that as he prefer to be a Magic Swordsman as their DPS and Range are balance and are not limited to either Physical or Magic power because it is both.

As the rules are hard to change, he managed to bend the rules it has. Rather than being not able to level and all his 4 other Basic Abilities are always zero, he bent the rules to make it: Slow level up speed and the values of other 4 Basic Abilities are slow to increase at a certain speed.

Would that slow him down? No. How? He's a Saiyan. He will just keep braking his limits and fight on a life and death battle, plus he have an extra power level of 342 from training under Kane which is equal to a Level 2 with B-700 average on all 4 Basic Abilities, making him strong against those who have leveled up with their Basic Abilities at D even with increase percentage despite the level up.

He used his magic and hacked the Falna system without any problem, and then he hacked his skill to allow himself to increase his other Basic Abilities, albeit slower, being born from a warrior race is a cheat itself.

After hacking it, bending the rules also known as restrictions, he can now raise his other 4 Basic Abilities. He planned on doing something absurd: by leveling up each year, which means that he will try to reach Level 8 and take his Alias "King" and defeat him on a duel in the Colosseum or he could take on the whole Familia. After all, his base strength is much stronger than his extra (falna) strength.

Meanwhile, in the whole world, humans or not, except a certain dragon, felt their spine shiver in coldness. As if a storm is about to come during this calm state of the world.

Deceit - The ability to decieve anyone through actions, gaining what psychologist called as "Poker Body".

Fake - The ability to fake or give false information without being seen through his lies, and status board can be faked as well. (Fake cannot be used on printed papers or anything that wasn't "in" the body.)

Hide - The ability to hide the real intent of the words spoken as lying is an "intent to lie". It can also hide from any kind of intuition, even divine intuition won't work.
