Chapter 21 - Safety Point

[A/N: Yo! It's been awhile! ]

The next day, Silver started to go down even further in the dungeon. He planned on trying to reach Floor 18, the Under Resort.

Also, the reason why he earned so much money was because he sweeps each floor cleanly, especially the Killer Ants. He basically exterminated them. He also destroyed a lot of walls which made a lot of rumors about an adventurer who kept breaking the walls. As for why, it is because he is killing the monsters even before they could land properly or ready themselves.

Seriously? Why watch monsters spawn from the walls when you can literally just kill them even before they have a chance to attack, or at least kill them even before they are ready to fight. He can't believe that these people would actually wait for theses monsters to be ready to fight when the latter doesn't need to wait for adventurers to be ready.

He sweeps each floor like a janitor once a again, but without breaking the walls since it won't spawn a strong Juggernaut unlike yesterday. He expected them to be weak, but they are incredibly way too weak for physical attacks. Even a rouge type like Bell who have equal speed as the Juggernaut would be able to kill it, if they both have the same speed.

Anyway, as he comes down further, he slayed a lot of monsters on the way. He got swarmed many times by monsters on the middle floors, but none could hit or even hurt him despite being a new adventurer and a level 1.

On the way, he also met a lot of parties who are killing monsters. And when those parties ran away because they got swarmed easily, Silver stepped in because the profit he'd gain in killing the monsters that are preying on the weak is very good since they are huge in amount.

Monsters on middle floors have a little intelligence on them, all they know is to pressure the weaker adventurers or smaller parties so they can kill them faster and then kill the next party. Unfortunately, it's the end of their existence as Silver rips and tears through monsters that comes at him.

He is sure that this one will be a big haul because the Guild posted an update that the Goliath have spawned. He wanted to see how different is this Goliath compared to Titans. The former is a monster while the latter are transformed humans.

"Rip. And. Tear." Silver muttered in monotonous cold voice and continued to rip apart monsters and tear through their resistance.

If he was buffed and uses a huge sword named Dragonslayer, he would have been mistaken as that person aside from difference in hair and eye colors.

As soon as he stepped in, a group of Minotaurs arrived in front of him, carrying a landform or a natural weapon shaped like an axe. Landform or Natural Weapons, are the weapons used by monsters that came from the dungeon itself. One of them rushed at Silver and swung its axe, only to get its axe blown into pieces just by hitting Silver who used his yet-to-be named revolving ki barrier that behaves like a Rasengan or Kaiten.

Wasting no time to dilly dally, he rushed forward and broke their horns and killed them by stabbing them in the ċhėst using Kagira, his newly forged katana, and pierced it's core.

The same thing happens to other monsters as he quickly dispatched the other Minotaurs.

Soon, he reached Floor 17...

Several tents were built with a flag of a clown with a card behind it. This symbol is none other than Loki Familia's emblem.

A green-haired elf was looking around, observing all her familia members as they just started to come back from their expedition as well as a quest to get some Skull Sheep's Robe on Floor 37.

"It seems like she is doing a little better, doesn't she, Riveria?" A voice sounded in her ears, speaking to her.

When she turned around, she saw a hobbit, mostly called as prums instead, is none other than the Captain of the Loki Familia.

"She is, but she kept pushing herself too far, Finn." Riveria hoped that she won't be too reckless and die at such young age.

Silence for just a moment until steps can be heard.

"All of them are now well rested. Once we go down, we needed to quickly run away from the Goliath so that we can quickly come back and plan our next expedition." A gruff voice of a man in his late 40s spoke as he strides towards them with his short but buffed stature.

"I think we go now. Riveria, Gareth, inform them all that we will soon depart." Finn ordered two of his comrades, his Vice-captain and a Lieutenant of some sort.

Soon, they finished packing the tents and are now about to go down.

Looking at the huge monster in front of him who sent out a roar that did nothing but to force Silver to cover his ears. Then, it swings its fist towards Silver.

He jumped over it and ran forward on its arm. The other fist was coming at him, but he just used it as another platform and continued to run towards its head.

As he was very close, he sped up a little and used the force of going forward for a kick at its temple, sending it to the side.

As the monster is big, it has many openings compared to enemies with smaller bodies or fast enemies.

He landed on the ground and waited for the Goliath to stand up. He wanted to test his strength against this monster.

A punch was coming for him, but he quickly dodged with his body in mid-air horizontally. With him in horizontal position, his katana in its sheath, his left hand ready to pull his katana out. He concentrated and slashed in a very fast move and easily sliced off its forearm from its elbow.

After cutting it off, the Goliath roared and used it's other hand.

Silver prepared his own attack too. His katana on his side, in his left hand.

As the punch was about to reach him, Silver front flipped even before the fist gets connected, allowing both of his feet to land on the back of its fist and used it as another platform as he rushed forward.

As he was close, he jumped forward and...

［Total Concentration］

As he gets close to its ċhėst...

［Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slice］

With a single swing, his teared through its ċhėst and broke its core, killing it instantly with one form of Water Breathing Style.

As he picked up the stone, he was approached by a little girl.

"How did you become so strong?" She asked.

"..." Silver just stared at her until he closed his eyes and said, "Use your strength, not for revenge, but to live your life the way you like it. That's my motivation."

'I've changed my mind... I will not pursue revenge, but it doesn't mean I won't retaliate when the time comes.'

When he reached the first Safety Point of the Dungeon, he quickly walked to Riviera to look around. When he tried to asked some the prices of some items in there, they were low quality and overpriced. He's not surprised.

He wandered around in Floor 18 and he found a lot of things. He luckily found some Crystal Drops, Gourdberries, and Honey Clouds.

Then, he came back up with lots of money. As he have many of them, he luckily have created an enchanted pouch that can store 1-meter cube size of a pocket dimension. He created this when he first got it, and simply called this item ❲Spatial Pocket❳ since that's what it does and what it is.

A little earlier...

Silver entered the Guild and quickly exchanged his magic stones and earned a total of 896,698 Valis. Actually, read that upside-down to get the exact amount. Silver told Rose that he ventured deep until the 18th floor which he got yelled at.

However, despite all that lecture, Silver didn't even flinch one bit from the woman's outburst. All he replied was "I won't die, unless you want me to." and "You don't have other people's life at your mercy.". The latter was not intended to be encouragement, but it did made Rose feel a little better. As to how, try searching it on Google to find out.
