Chapter 19 I Want My Mom

Hearing Tania's words, Joey raised her head abruptly. Was he going to force her to death? How could he force her to death? How could he want to force her to death!

He stared at Tania with a straight face and said, "Miss Tang, this is the last time. I won't embarrass you too much for the sake of Lois. Get out! "

Even Tania was frightened by Joey's cold black eyes. She didn't know which of her words had completely pissed Joey off, but she knew that if she continued to say it, she would definitely pay the price.

Tania was a little scared, but when she thought that Lois was calling Maggie in her dream, she was unwilling.

Joey picked up the phone and pressed a button, "drive her out!"

Before Tania could react, two secretaries pushed the door open and came in. For a moment, she didn't have enough time to think about too much. "Joey Gu, Lois is crying for Maggie in her dream. If you don't want to give the child to her, why don't you make the decision quickly?"

"You have lived together for five years. Can't your heart be made of stone? Lois pulled out the needle and ran out of the hospital to see Maggie. She didn't come back until the sun set. Even as a friend, I felt sorry for her when she was out of her mind. As a husband, don't you have any feelings for her? " Tania shook off the Secretary's hand and said angrily.

It was hard to defeat four hands with two fists. Tania was finally pulled out by two female secretaries, but what she said in the end hit heavily on Joey's heart.

"Joey Gu, do you know how torturing it is to be sad and disappointed in the past five years?"

Fuck off!

Joey swept all the documents and decorations on the desk to the ground, but the accusation was still in her ears. "Do you know how torturing it is to be sad and disappointed for five years?

Tania was forced out of Gu Consortium. She turned around and looked at the building of Gu Consortium, lowering her head dejectedly. She had always been brave enough to do what she wanted to do, but scumbags were scums after all. Whether it was good words or bad words, they could not change the scumbag.

Looking at the mess in the office, Joey couldn't sit on the chair and drank off the secretary who wanted to come in to disturb him. He closed his eyes and calmed down for a moment. Then he stood up and took the car key to get out of the office building.

He drove to the kindergarten. He was so tired these days that he hadn't paid much attention to his child for a long time. Only when something unexpected happened today could Joey get free because of trouble.

Maggie walked out of the kindergarten with her friends. The little girl lowered her head, lost in thought. Her friends tried to comfort her. It took her a long time to force a smile and wave goodbye to her friends.

Looking at her playmates being taken away by her parents, Maggie felt a little disappointed. Her mother had come to pick her up before, but she hadn't seen her mother for a long time. Thinking of the familiar figure in the afternoon during the class, she pursed her lips. Why didn't her mother talk to her if she came?

"Maggie..."

The little girl heard her name and looked up confusedly. Seeing her father's tall figure, she slowly smiled and ran to her father with her little schoolbag on her back.

Joey also walked towards Maggie. He reached out and picked up the little girl. "Are you happy to see your father pick you up?"

The little girl nodded vigorously. She seemed to be afraid that Joey didn't understand enough, so she said heavily, "yes!"

Joey looked at Maggie's bright eyes and smiled gently. He seldom smiled, and the corners of his lips were a little stiff.

Looking at his father's smile, Maggie kissed his cheek fawningly and called in a delicate v

oice, "Dad!"

Looking at the similar eyebrows and eyes of Lois from Maggie, Joey thought of the case and what Tania had said. He felt both painful and depressed, as if her heart had been hollowed out. The smile on his face slowly disappeared, and he held Maggie back to the car.

Looking at Joey's sullen face, Maggie thought he was unhappy because of his intimacy with her. She remembered that her mother once said that her father was too tired that he had to work and take care of his child, so he seldom took care of her.

Maggie pouted. Her father didn't like her even though she didn't cry. The little girl was aggrieved and sad, so she missed her mother more who was patient and loved her.

Looking at the silent little girl in the passenger seat, Joey casually changed the topic, "what do you want to eat, Maggie? I'll take you to buy it. "

"Let's go home. Dad is so busy." The little girl lowered her head and looked listless.

Seeing that Maggie didn't want to say anything more, Joey felt indescribable bitterness and heartache.

At the beginning, he could say that it was Lois who took over the child, but after three months of getting along with each other, Maggie often avoided him. He knew clearly who was the problem.

"Dad wants to take Maggie out this weekend. Does Maggie have any place to go?"

Maggie looked up at Joey. Seeing the smile on his face, she put down her guard. After thinking for a while, she said, "I want to go to the amusement park!"

Joey grinned, "Okay, I'll take you to the amusement park this weekend!"

Maggie nodded heavily, took off her schoolbag, unzipped it and began to look for something.

Joey looked at her slightly frowned eyebrows and was about to pat her forehead when Maggie took out a small red flower the size of a child's palm from her schoolbag and handed it to him.

He took it over and looked at the red flower. It was just a sticker. He knew that it was just a common skill for kindergarten teachers to coax children. Children who were well behaved and obedient would get it.

"It's very beautiful." Joey rubbed Maggie's head and said with a doting smile, "I'll put it on the head of the bed for you when we get home."

The little girl's eyes lit up as he looked at Joey. "Dad! This is the reward from the teacher today! "

Joey lowered her head and got close to the little girl. He fastened the seat belt for her and pinched her nose. "Maggie is awesome! What reward does Maggie want? I will do it! "

Joey started the car and was about to go to the dessert shop.

The little girl clenched her fists slightly, with sweat gradually dripping from her palms. She nervously looked at Joey who was driving, but she didn't dare to say her request.

Joey rubbed Maggie's forehead from time to time and didn't think too much when he looked at the little girl who was lowering her head.

Joey parked the car beside the dessert shop and carried Maggie into it.

He bought Maggie's favorite desserts and cakes, and returned to the car with the child in one hand and the dessert in the other.

When Joey was about to start the car, he heard Maggie say, "Dad, I don't like desserts!"

Joey was stunned and tilted his head slightly to look at Maggie. Although he had been indifferent to them, he knew that Maggie liked chocolate desserts and Schwarzwald cakes the most. This was what the servant had always emphasized, and he could never remember it wrong. There was only one possibility: the little girl lied.

"Candy will make teeth break! I don't like desserts! "

As if the accusation hit Joey's heart, he opened his mouth slightly and could not refute, "don't eat too much. It won't break."

Maggie couldn't help crying and begging, "Dad, I don't want desserts. Can you let me see mom?"
