Guan Tong was driven to the Lin Family home in Zhang Lin’s car. Not even a day has passed, and she was already being tied up on a plane on her way to her betrothed— it was because Zhang Lin was afraid that Guan Tong would escape. 

It had been a month since she arrived on this island, and she had been staying in this room every day. However, she didn’t even get a glimpse of the Young Master of the Lu family’s shadow.

It looked like the nightmare that she had heard about was coming. 

The bodyguards walked closer, and Guan Tong quickly sat back down. These people carefully placed the man on the wedding bed expressionlessly, even after seeing Guan Tong’s appearance. At that moment, an older man followed them into the room. Guan Tong had seen him a few times and knew that he was the butler here, Uncle Tang.

“Madam, the Young Master has been brought to you.” The butler quietly said.

Guan Tong nodded to him with a bitter smile. It was the first time anyone had called her Madam.

“Madam and the Young Master should rest early.” Uncle Tang gave Guan Tong a meaningful glance and left with the bodyguards. Guan Tong was stunned for a while. Then, she looked at the man on the bed and saw an extraordinarily handsome face. 

Guan Tong did not expect the Young Master of the Lu family to be this handsome. He was even more attractive than other famous men that she had seen before. The man had his eyes closed, and his eyebrows were straight. However, his face was ashen. Perhaps it was because he had been ill for a long time and had not seen the light of day. His lips were pale and tightly shut. The man looked almost like a vampire that lived off by sucking the blood out of a human being. The man was the Young Master of the Lu family— Lu Han.

Guan Tong burst out laughing. At this time, her head was still wrapped in her nonsensical thoughts. She was attracted by this man’s handsome face and could not help but touch him. However, when she thought of the rumor that the man was bad luck and his past wives suspiciously died, her outstretched hand dropped down.

Guan Tong could smell a strong herbal smell in the air. Lu Han probably had been bathed in herb mixture every day, but she sensed something odd. Guan Tong didn’t have time to think before she felt a slight noise from the door lock outside. Guan Tong quivered, but she assumed that the servants of the Lu family would not be doing anything this suspicious at this time. Even if they did, they wouldn’t dare come into the newlyweds’ bridal chamber. 

Guan Tong’s expression turned cold. It seemed that there was something strange going on within the Lu family. He was striking, like someone who walked out of a painting. 

Guan Tong was already familiar with her husband’s magnificent facial features, but it was the first time she saw him open his eyes! He must’ve become a revenant! Guan Tong felt the shock, and this feeling was far beyond the limits that her mind could perceive. The man in the comatose state was now actually opening his eyes.

“Don’t make a sound if you want to live.” Not only could Lu Han open his eyes, but he was also speaking to her.

“Now, we just wait for death to come.” Lu Han said with a smile.

Guan Tong’s eyes widened in disbelief. Wait for death? She did not want to die yet. Lu Han found her reaction interesting, her eyes filled with surprise but with no panic. However, the woman’s gaze was too similar to Guan Tong’s. He felt as if he had been brought back to that night.

“Let’s find a way out.” Guan Tong thought of a brilliant idea. She felt that she should be able to escape with the man in front of her. 

“What a stupid idea! Do you think you can escape from the Lu family?” Lu Han looked at her as if she was a fool.

“Then why don’t you call for help from your subordinates?” Guan Tong thought that a family like the Lu family would have plenty of servants at their service.

“It’s useless. This is the famous Secret Weapon Master of our own family. You can’t escape.” Lu Han broke Guan Tong’s hope of survival.
