Element transformation. The concept is easy to understand, as almost all animals and plants have this function. One example is when the cereal grains eaten by humans are converted into muscle and bone. Most of this transformation is specific and unchangeable, but the Taisui in front of Chen Fan was clearly not exactly the same.
To test his conjecture, Chen Fan returned to Zhongyun and asked both Yiteng Yun and Yu Lin to purchase a large number of artificially planted ginseng, Ganoderma lucidum, and Lycium Chinensis berries. Although Lycium Chinensis berries were cheap and nutritious, their real benefit was that their color was bright red, which made them very easy to observe.
After collecting the medicinal materials, Chen Fan cut a piece off of the body of the Taisui, then used a juicer to juice the Chinese wolfberry to cultivate it. As for the cut piece, which had now rown to the size of a bowl, it was still cultivated with Ganoderma lucidum.
This Taisui 's growth ability was astonishing, and as long as the nutrients in the water were sufficient, it could grow from the bowl size to develop into a basketball size in only five days. And add to that the nutrient absorption, and the size was like a human after undergoing puberty, when it then did not have any change anymore thereafter.
This particular one had been bred with Ganoderma lucidum, making its appearance much darker and greyish. After cutting a piece of Taisui for the electric eel, it was found that the ginseng composition in the Taisui was significantly reduced.
And in regards to that Taisui that had been using Chinese wolfberry in its cultivation, even after cutting six pieces, the part that had grown still had no changes. Thus, the electric eel felt as refreshed and energetic as it had before, even after consuming it. This result likely proves that the Taisui, which had already grown and been shaped, would not likely be disturbed by external nutrients nor change its own tissue elements. On the other hand, the growing Taisui would be affected, but only a little, by the surrounding elements.
Experiment progress!
Continue the experiment!
Chen Fan cut a piece of tissue about the size of a yellow bean out of its body. He put it into a glass jar, then cultured it with Lycium Chinensis juice at 100 percent concentration.
Two days later, the Taisui had grown to the size of a walnut and its skin was pink. A week later, it had grown to the size of a basketball and its surface was bright red, similar to a Lycium Chinensis berry that has been magnified many times. Continuing on, he found that cutting off a large piece, then letting the electric eel taste it, did not produce any exciting effects to speak of.
After awhile, he stopped juicing the Lycium Chinensis, and switched to ginseng cultivation. For seven days, it consumed more than one hundred catty of ginseng, and its appearance did not change. It was still red, but just the liver, and its sight, however, was encouragingly strengthened.
If…
Chen Fan suddenly thought of a good idea, and could no longer control his emotions, as he covered his stomach and laughed. The electric eels could rely on venomous sacs in their abdominal cavities to secrete venoms that could burn….
So, what if…. the Taisui could live inside such sacs, then what if you grew them in soy size tissue, then, when it's big enough, like a basketball, would it then become a super bomb? Haha! If anyone irritates him, he could then just spit out the Taisui from his mouth and detonate him at high voltage!
Chen Fan continued his fantasizing: Leaving a few long formed venom Taisui, with a lot of nutrients to cultivate all the time, would the explosion power then increase from time to time?
Chen Fan figured finally that, if he was not satisfied with results, he could always ask the shipyard to cast some iron cases to seal it inside, so that its power could then be increased by about five times. As the thought of these things, Chen Fan immediately controlled the electric eel to squeeze the venom from its poison sac into two large water storage bags, then cut a bean-sized piece of tissue from the ginseng Taisui.
Looking at the green poison in front of him, Chen Fan was not sure in his heart that the poison was no more than ginseng and wolfberry mixed together, or if the human would die immediately after drinking it. It was also not known if the Taisui could even absorb the material in order to survive.
But when it came to the second day, Chen Fan found himself somewhat underestimating the power of the goblin class Taisui. The clear green poison in the vitreous crock had already become a puddle of clear water, and besides some stickiness, it had no green pigment at all.
Three days later, the milky color of the Taisui had faded into a pale green. Chen Fan cut a piece with his dagger and threw it into the water.
Bang! There was a dull thud, and the inside and outside of the area were momentarily scorched by the high voltage of electricity. Suddenly, there was a flash of fire.
The water pressure here was only about seven atmospheres, so it wasn't a chamber pressure reaction at all. Hence, he knew it could only could burn and not explode.
Experiments had shown that Chen Fan's plan was feasible, requiring only a dozen or so venom-Taisui to be grown. This was a success that would then let them stop consuming the venom and replace them with other nutrients.
"Since even the venom can be bred!" Lying on the stone bed, Chen Fan suddenly thought of this very crucial, very crucial element.
The electric eel was now maturing, and the normal effects of stimulating the pituitary gland were worse than ever. If you wanted to strengthen the electric eels, you'd have to go to the Tonga trench and catch a lot of ghost hair incense. But no matter how big the cave was, it wouldn't be able to hold the electric eel's unlimited devouring capacity!
So, isn't the Taisui the perfect key to solving this dilemma?!
As long as a certain amount of ghost hair incense was collected back, after the air dried it, and the machine was used to grind it into powder, it could then be used to cultivate more than a dozen Taisui. So, wouldn't that mean that the electric eel would be able to take ghost month incense often?
Thinking this way, if the harvest was abundant, he could directly cultivate more than 20 Taisui, which could gather a basketball-sized amount of ghost moon incense, on average, each day ...
"Damn wonderful, I am literally Zhuge Wolong in this era!" Chen Fan was too excited, as he now realized that the electric eels could release 39,000 volts!
If he could raise the voltage to 100,000 volts, the electric eels could then have a true long-distance weapon on land. As long as the target was not more than 50 meters away, the voltage could break through the air and hit the target. It could also see far into the distance and send dazzling lightning into the air.
The Tonga trench was more than 4,700 miles from the Zhongyun, and the electric eel would be able to reach it in a day. Having reached his success, Chen Fan was now idle, so there was a lot of time to go there to catch the ghost hair jellyfish!
............
"Hi, Jiang Shui? Help me prepare a large anchor chain of a hundred meters long, and bring it to the dock now!" Sitting in the car, Chen Fan dialed the phone number of Jiang Shui.
Chen Fan had underestimated the length of the tentacles on his last trip, when he went to capture the ghost hair jellyfish. So, this time he planned to use his chain to deal with them more efficiently.
With the anchor chain tied to the front of the spear, he would be undefeatable! The chain was a necessity for a shipyard, and they could get it directly from the warehouse. The only thing that needed to be done was to cut off the chain. Two hours later, roaring engines were heard coming to the dock, as they used the crane to take the anchor chain off the motorboat.
"I wonder how many ghost hair jellyfish are left in that cave?" Chen Fan, who controlled the electric eel, was wrapping it around his spear, before he swam to the Tonga trench in the South Pacific.
Whoosh! At the sound of the earth approaching, the electric eel, which had swum for more than ten miles, shot back again, because there was no container for storing its poison capsules...
The next day, at 6 p.m., in the Tonga trench in the south-central Pacific Ocean.
On Chen Fan's last visit, the electric eels used to be able to survive in up to three kilometers of water pressure for an hour, but now it could withstand five kilometers of water pressure.
Returning to the old place, there was always such a nostalgic feeling in his heart. But Chen Fan was not good at adopting a sentimental pose, so he l just said this sentence: "Whereas memory has gone, then come back again, we once again set foot on the darkness of the ocean, so will the past frustrations reappear?" After finishing the lovely quote, he dove into the channel.
After more than an hour of searching and touching the cave at 3,200 meters, the electric eel took a deep breath, then surged forth the voltage to 39,000 volts suddenly.
Boom!
A bright blue light spread like a virus, and a large white fish that was foraging for food at 500 meters, was transported post-haste to hell, without even being able to move. At a detection distance of two kilometers, Chen Fan found that there were no strange objects in the cave.
"Cold!"
"Huge!"
These were the first two pieces of information the electric eel got when they entered the cave. The water outside was around about zero degrees Celsius, and inside was three degrees below that.
As for the inner structure of the cave, the electric eel could see the dome more than three hundred meters high above its head, and he could only see the sea water all around. The electric eel now had very good eyesight, so it need not release electromagnetic induction, as it had before, in order to detect around.
The last time they crouched in a cave, the electric eel found three creatures: a ghostly jellyfish, a scorpion fish with a slender tail, and a big blue fish with long horns on its head. The other two Chen Fan were not interested, as he just came looking for the ghost hair jellyfish.
Speak of the devil, there it came...
When Chen Fan was just about to control the electric eel to swim in order to explore how deep the cave was, an umbrella body of 15 meters wide, with seventy meters of long-sized tentacles appeared. It was the ghost hair jellyfish, moving in a shrinking motion, swimming towards the exit.
"Ha!" the electric eel shot forward nearly 200 meters, then, with the spear in its front claws, swung. The anchor of the ship with a long chain blew to the umbrella body of the jellyfish, like a medusa!
Splash! A light sound rang out, and just when the ghost hair jellyfish wanted to struggle, a blue lightning immediately followed. Of course, in order to prevent the high voltage from damaging the poison capsules in the jellyfish, the electric eel could only release 9,000 volts at that time.
Twenty seconds later, the ghost hair jellyfish, which had been pierced by a ship's anchor, froze and went to hell. Pulling it back to the shallow water, at a depth of 800 meters, the electric eel took out the capsule, which was nearly a meter in diameter, and hid it.
Half an hour later, when the electric eel returned to the shallow water again, it saw that, on the long chain anchors, hung an 18-meter ghost hair jellyfish umbrella body!
