Chapter 100

In the space station.

"Didi!" the sudden alarm interrupted Tom and Jerry's daily joy.

"Hmm? What's going on?" Jerry immediately checked the control panel. Tom took off his headphones and sat up straight with a serious face.

Those who can be selected by thousands to become astronauts are all the elites in the elite! Tom can't be so out of tune as he looks when he can be selected.

"This... The air pressure in the oxygen tank is falling!" Jerry exclaimed.

They looked at each other and immediately saw a trace of dignity from each other's eyes. There was no oxygen in space. Needless to say, they knew what would happen!

"Jerry, wake Butch up at once! I'll wear spacewalk equipment and be ready to check out!" Tom showed good professionalism at this time.

"OK!" Jerry replied!

They acted immediately.

"Wuwu ~" the harsh alarm soon rang through the whole space station!

"Ha ~ what's the matter? Eh? This is... Alarm!"

Butch, another astronaut in his sleep, woke up and rushed to the control room of the space station!

"Jerry, what's the matter? Why did the alarm sound?"

"The oxygen tank seems to have been hit by something, and the air pressure is falling!" Jerry sweated on his forehead and clattered on the keyboard.

"What! How could this happen! Is it space debris?" butch exclaimed.

"I don't know. Tom is already wearing his equipment and ready to go out of the warehouse to check the situation. Go help him and be ready to pick him up at any time!"

"OK! I'll go at once!"

After Butch left, Jerry was the only one left in the control room.

"Jerry, this is Tom. I'm ready to get out of the cabin. How about the loss!" Tom's voice sounded in the communicator.

"The pressure continues to drop, but fortunately, the rate of decline is not very fast, and the damage should not be large! According to the calculation, including the emergency oxygen cylinder, we still have 2 hours and 56 minutes! If the time has not been repaired, we can only enter the escape pod and go back to our hometown!"

"Hoo! It's not too bad. There are nearly three hours left! There's plenty of time. I'll get out of the cabin for maintenance immediately! Go back to my hometown or something. I'd better wait until you get married!"

Jerry: "

……

Soon afterwards, a cabin door of the space station was opened. Tom in a bloated spacesuit had a repair gun in his hand and a safety rope tied behind him. He awkwardly floated out of the space station and slowly moved to the oxygen tank along the preset handrail on the outer wall!

More than ten minutes later, Tom came to the oxygen tank and found a small hole spraying white fog gas at the first sight!

"I see it! It's in a prominent position in front of me. Thank God! The damage is not serious. It should be caused by the impact of space dust. Don't worry! I'll fix it soon!" Tom said.

"Great!" Jerry breathed a sigh of relief. "I have informed the ground command center of the situation here! Report the maintenance situation on your side at any time! Be careful!"

"Copy that!"

Then Tom grabbed the handrail in one hand and came to the breach with a repair gun in the other.

Repair gun is a special maintenance gun for space equipment. Its shape is somewhat similar to nail gun, and the muzzle is square.

Tom pointed the muzzle of the gun at the breach and pulled the trigger.

"Poof!" when Tom removed the muzzle, the damage on it had been stuck by a square black repair material, and there was no air leakage. It looked like a patch.

The temporary repair work has been completed, and this damage needs to be inspected and reinforced later, but normally, this repair is enough.

"Done! Look, it's just a small problem, my Dear Jerry. I'll give you another set of pancakes and fruits when you go back! Ha ha!" Tom joked with a smile and turned around to go back to the space station.

"Eh... Tom? Are you sure you've fixed it? But the air pressure is still falling!" Jerry wondered.

"What!?" Tom was stunned, and then turned to look at the oxygen tank. He saw another breach next to the repaired patch. The leakage of white fog gas was very conspicuous!

"Er... Maybe... I've just been dazzled. There are two damages and one is leaking. Don't worry! I'll fix it immediately!" Tom replied to Jerry, but he was a little strange.

Just saw that there was only one damage? Can you read it wrong at such a close distance?

But anyway, it was just a small mistake, and Tom immediately started the repair work.

"Poof!" another patch was applied. Tom checked up and down this time to make sure there was no problem. "Jerry, it's done. I think I don't have enough sleep. It seems that I'll change shifts with Butch in advance."

"But the pressure... Is still falling..." Jerry said a little speechless.

"What? It's impossible! I've repaired it!" exclaimed Tom.

He carefully checked the damage twice. The helmet of the spacesuit was almost pasted on the two patches. Finally, he confirmed that... The repair was perfect and there was no sign of air leakage!

But the pressure is still falling! Is there any other damage?

Tom then began to look at the other parts of the oxygen tank. There was no air in front of him. He turned around the outer wall of the oxygen tank, and then was stunned to find that there was a damage and air leakage not far away.

"Well, Jerry, you may not believe it. I found the third damage!" Tom said in silence.

"It's nothing. Maybe it's the penetrating injury caused by dust, both positive and negative. Repair it quickly. These precious oxygen leaks are a great loss to us, and it is causing a slight impact on the orbit of the space station!"

"I see!" Tom hurried to the damage and began to repair it.

However, what he didn't notice was that while he was repairing, a silver needle suddenly pierced out of the oxygen tank at the upper right of him, and then the thief retracted back into the oxygen tank, and then the white fog gas escaped happily from the inside.

After Tom mended the third breach, he soon found a new wound in the upper right. He swore that he had just scanned there. Two minutes ago, it was absolutely intact!

"Shit! I found the fourth one! What's the matter? I just saw that there was no gap at all!"

"Tom, are you sure you're not kidding? Stop playing! Repair it quickly. Nearly half an hour has passed! We've lost a lot!" Jerry said anxiously.

"I swear I'm not kidding! Damn it!" Tom cursed and rushed to repair the fourth damage, but he couldn't see... The fifth was forming

Jerry naturally recognized that Tom's anxious tone was definitely not a joke!

"Tom, be careful. If this is the case, we may have encountered a small dust belt, Butch! How's your situation? Tom needs support!"

"I'm ready. Now get out of the cabin immediately to support Tom and Jerry. You'd better put on your spacesuit and prepare the oxygen tank just in case!"

"OK, I see!"

Then Tom's incredible exclamation came from the communication channel.

"Damn it! This is the fifth..."

"Fuck! Sixth!"

"The seventh..." later, Tom was almost numb.

Soon after, Buji joined the repair army, and there was an exclamation in the communication channel.

"My God! How can there be so many holes! Is today April Fool's Day!"

"My God! I just passed by here. There's nothing unusual at all! Where did these gaps come from?"

Control room.

Jerry: "

……

Outside the space station, two astronauts were carrying out seemingly endless repair work

Two figures up and down, left and right, Baba... Playing a dangerous game similar to playing hamsters

Finally, half an hour later

"Hoo Hoo ~ I swear, this situation is absolutely abnormal!" Tom gasped at the outer wall of the oxygen tank filled with dozens of patches.

"Hoo Hoo ~ Jerry, what's the situation now? Our repair materials have run out! And the oxygen won't last long!" Buji is also exhausted. In weightlessness, the consumption of human activities is more intense.

"But the pressure is still falling! And the loss of oxygen is accelerating! We only have less than an hour left! What's the matter! Why are there so many cracks in the oxygen tank? I've observed that there are no signs of dust belts around here!" Jerry's tone was anxious.

Tom stared at the oxygen tank strangely. "Maybe... There's a woodpecker in it?"

Buji: "

Jerry: "
