Chapter 174 Killing the Jinwu Sect's Experts

The old man Ouyang also felt that this wouldn't work, but he was reluctant to hurt such an overpowered spirit beast. Even if he just blinded one of its eyes or broke one of its legs, its strength would be significantly reduced, and it wouldn't be capable of a sect guard. To a certain extent, if he did so, he would personally destroy the top-quality spirit beast that he seldom met.

If he took the beast back like this, he would not get any rewards. Instead, he might even be scolded by the sect's senior Elders for being a wastrel. Furthermore, they would criticize him for doing nothing right.

The man in his early fifties and the woman didn't need to consider these issues, but as the only elder among them, Ouyang was the leader of this mission. He had to take full responsibility for all the problems.

"Hold on a little longer. We'll ask for reinforcements now!" Ouyang thought about it again and again, but in the end, he still didn't want to hurt the beast. He told the two to hold Little Monster off, and then he jumped out of the battle circle and released signal detonators into the air.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

The three signal detonators rose up into the air, forming a strange pattern when they exploded and sending out a signal that was unique to the Jinwu Sect.

It was undoubtedly the best opportunity for Little Monster when Ouyang, who was the most powerful one, jumped out of the battle circle. The pressure it faced was significantly reduced, so it took advantage of this gap, and ferociously roared out.

"Roar—!"

The roar was like a thunderclap that rumbled in the forest and reverberated for a long time.

"Oh no, it's about to escape. Elder Ouyang, stop it now! "The woman saw Little Monster rushing towards the gap that Elder Ouyang had left and yelled out.

"Bastard, you won't be able to run after injuring me." The man in his early fifties roared as he leaped into the air. His chain hammer that was covered with thorns danced in the air and directly struck the back of Little Monster's head.

"Hey, you …!" The woman saw his move and knew that he evidently wanted to kill the spirit beast. She tried to stop him, but it was too late.

"Roar!" Little Monster also felt the wind behind its head. While it was roaring furiously, a strange scene occurred in the shocked eyes of the woman.

Little Monster suddenly used its butt as a weapon to attack the woman with its butt front and its head behind. However, its speed wasn't slow either.

When the man's hammer hit the planned position, Little Monster was not there anymore. Therefore, his strike naturally hit empty.

At this moment, the massive body of Little Monster had just retreated to the underneath of the man. At the same time, the man was falling from the sky. He couldn't help crying out as he looked at Little Monster.

Fortunately, he was an expert of the Spirit Stage. His reaction was far superior to that of an ordinary Martial Cultivator. As he shouted in shock, he used his tiptoes to land on the rushing Little Monster's back and then bounced up once again.

He successfully bounced up, but there was still the inertia that Little Monster's rushing brought. It was like someone jumping down from a moving train. Although his body had left the train, he was still vulnerable to the inertia and would be falling towards the direction that the train moved to.

Little Monster's speed was three times faster than a train, so the inertia was much higher. If it were an ordinary Martial Cultivator, he would have directly pounced onto the ground. However, even if he was a Spirit Stage expert, he was still unable to control his body to fall towards his planned direction. He had deviated from his original direction and landed on a clump of grass.

Just as his feet touched the tip of the grass, a figure suddenly showed up from the grass. Before he could react, the blood-red glow of the saber and the aura of death had already covered him.

His weapon was a chain hammer, not a sword or a blade which could defend the attack in an emergency. The chain hammer was a long-ranged weapon and was not suitable for close combat. At such a close distance and with such a ferocious killing move, and the fact that he was still in the midair and could not control his body, now he could do nothing but let out a pitiful cry while splattering out the blood of his life.

The woman, who was busy dealing with the retreating Little Monster, whipped it hard in the butt. She used almost all of her strength, and immediately a bloody mark was left on Little Monster's body. Little Monster cried out in pain.

As the woman was about to whip it again, she heard the man's screams. It scared her, and she quickly looked to his direction. She discovered that an unfamiliar figure had suddenly appeared beside him, and her companion, the man in his fifties, had already fallen from the air. He fell onto the ground headlong and couldn't get up again. The blood spewed out from his belly, and the grassland around him was dyed red immediately.

It was Qin Hao who finally made a move. He had been hiding in the grass by concealing his inner Qi. These three Spirit Stage experts were indeed powerful. After waiting for a long time, Qin Hao finally found the opportunity. The moment he made a move, he killed one expert at once. He was really good at seizing the opportunity.

"Kid, who are you? How dare you kill a man of my Jinwu Sect. I'll kill you!" With an angry shout, Ouyang raised his blade, and the blade was slashing over. The strong wind of the blade made Qin Hao suffocated even before it arrived.

He had also fought with Old Man White, a Spirit Stage expert last night. However, Old Man White did not have the real strength of a Spirit Stage expert at that time. He could use no more than one-third of his power after he was ambushed. So naturally, his fighting with Qin Hao ended in a tie. Even that, if not relying on the sharpness of Scarlet Blood Saber and his weird move, Qin Hao wouldn't have killed Old Man White that quickly.

Right now, Ouyang had the real strength of a Spirit Stage expert. It was naturally much more than Old Man White's strength of last night.

Furthermore, Ouyang held back his power when fighting against Little Monster, but when facing Qin Hao, he used all of his strength. He was in a rage now, and the power of his anger made his moves even more violent.

"Roar!" Seeing Ouyang turned to attack Qin Hao instead of attacking it, Little Monster did not care about the woman anymore. It turned its head with roaring and rushed towards Ouyang.

Qin Hao had also realized how terrifying a Spirit Stage expert's strength was. It was never something that he, the third stage of Martial Cultivator of the middle period, could match. However, the old man was too fast, so Qin Hao did not even have the chance to run. He could only swing his blade to defend against the ghost blade of the old man.

"Bang!" With a loud collision sound, sparks flew everywhere. Qin Hao's arms instantly went numb as if they were electrocuted. His legs went bent under the tremendous force, and he almost kneeled on the ground. If Ouyang attacked him again, Qin Hao would be in danger.

However, Qin Hao was not that foolish to wait for another strike. After saying "fuck", he rolled into the dark forest and disappeared.

Ouyang had not expected Qin Hao to be so fast. He wanted to chase Qin Hao, but Little Monster was rushing over to him. He had to give up chasing Qin Hao and turned around to deal with Little Monster.

He didn't dare to fight with Little Monster fiercely. He had to be careful and slow down his dogfighting with it. He still waited for his reinforcements to arrive.

He had already paid the price that one of them had been killed. If he couldn't capture this spirit beast alive and mend up for his fault, he would be punished by the young master who didn't have a good temper.

The woman glanced at the corpse of her fellow on the ground, endured her grief, gritted her teeth, and angrily whipped. She ruthlessly slashed at Little Monster from behind, and Ouyang attacked Little Monster from the front.

Thanks to Little Monster's thick skin and flesh, it was invulnerable to the whip's and the blade's attacks. It continuously fought arbitrarily. It was a spirit beast that was intelligent. After fighting for so long, it could tell that the opponents were afraid of injuring it, so they didn't dare to attack its vital parts. Thus, at the crucial moment, it decided to use its head to meet the enemy's attacks and force the opponents to retreat.

Little Monster's actions angered the woman behind him. She whipped the little beast until smoke rose from its body. At first, Little Monster felt a bit of pain, but as the attacks went on, it seemed to be used to the pain and didn't feel any pain more. Little Monster just let the woman whip itself. As it fought with the two of them, it retreated to a specific direction of the forest. Now, since they only had two of them to attack it, Little Monster's pressure was significantly reduced.

"Don't let this beast escape. Hold on for a moment. Our men will arrive soon." Seeing Little Monster rushing towards the forest, Ouyang shouted anxiously. The blade in his hand danced crazily, and his moves got faster and faster.

Little Monster ignored the attacks. It saw a forest in front of it. Then it raised its head and roared. Its enormous body leaped up and crashed into a tree which was so thick that two men could just get their arms around.

Both of them were stunned. Was it going to kill itself by hitting the tree?

The two could not let it happen. Otherwise, everything they had done would be in vain.

"Stop it!" Ouyang turned into a ray of light in the night. He ferociously kicked Little Monster's huge stomach. He wanted to kick Little Monster to the side and make it avoid colliding with the big tree.

However, something weird happened again. Little Monster's vast body suddenly shrank in midair, and its speed got faster. The large body disappeared, and the fierce kick of Ouyang naturally hit empty. In midair, he was scared by the strange change of Little Monster. He had no support for withdrawing his foot, so he could only keep kicking forward.

Suddenly, the treetops above his head moved, and a figure fell from the sky. The blood-red saber drew a red slash in the air. The slash went down on Ouyang's leg from top to bottom and then disappeared in the grass beneath him.

"Elder Ouyang, be careful!" The woman below realized something was wrong and let out a sharp cry, but it was too late.

"AHHH!" A mournful scream broke through the night sky, once again startling the birds that were sleeping in the darkness.

Not until Ouyang fell onto the ground did he find that his leg had separated from his body. He staggered and fell into a pit, unable to get up for a long time.

"Elder Ouyang!" The woman screamed as she rushed to Elder Ouyang. Her expression was kind of terror and panic. She didn't notice that the grass beneath her feet and fell into a trap with a loud "bang" sound.

"AHHH!" The woman's scream was astonishing. It made one's hair stand on end if one heard it. It sounded like a real version of The Ring. (Note: The Ring is a Japanese horror movie. Here it refers to a very horrible thing or scene.)

The trap the woman fell into had been fitted with several barbs, and all of these barbs were inserted into her feet.

Before she could jump up and pull out those barbs, the wind above her head whistled, and blood-red shadows of the saber covered the sky and slashed towards her.
