Chapter 34 Encountering a Pack of Beasts

“You don’t have to be so anxious. High-level demon beasts are not so easy to deal with,” Xiong Ba said gloomily.

Even if the Pegasus Team and Ye Lan Team could take down a high-level demon beast, they would definitely not have an easy time. Let them try and do all the hard work first, then at the end the Mighty Tyrant team could swoop in and take advantage.

The camp was suddenly noisy. After being woken up, and realising the demon beasts around, everyone was in such a panic that it took a while for them to grab their weapons.

“Roar—!” A long howl came from the forest.

The eerie green light in those beast eyes also began to sway. These demon beasts finally began to approach them.

“Warriors, move forward. Mages, stay back and cast enhancements on the warriors and knights in front of you.” Xiong Ba was the leader of a large defense corps after all. Now that he was in charge of this temporary alliance, he was just barely qualified.

With someone in command, these defenders could still react and immediately execute. The heavily armored knights led the way. The warriors were mixed in with them as support. Mages waved their staffs around.

The larger Fanged Hyenas stepped on the fallen soldiers and bit them with their bloody mouths.

Xiong Ba knew that these must be even more powerful demon beasts, so he shouted, “It’s the Warrior-level Fanged Hyenas! Retreat, retreat quickly!”

“Don’t block me. Who’s behind me and still standing here? Do you want to die?” The blood splashing everywhere finally reminded these soldiers of the horror of the Violent Fanged Hyenas.

The formation that he had painstakingly built was instantly scattered by the Violent Fanged Hyenas.

“As expected of a ragtag team, they are of no use.” Xiong Ba was instantly dumbfounded.
