Chapter 241 - XI Family Time

Soon after spending the night in meditation, Elijah reunited with his team and they had him cook for them before leaving to the stadium. The amount of people in the streets seemed even bigger than before and the air had the pleasant fragrance of flowers. Arriving in the stadium, Ava and the others saw it was still closed and walked to the lower plaza just behind it.

"We've all received news that today's tournament will start a little later. I will be shopping with Eve before we meet here in three hours, what the two of you doing?" Ava asked while having a mouthful of the cheese bread Elijah made. She and Evelynne didn't come here just to play, but to meet one of their friends who moved here to work. Eternia was a city where you could see powerful cultivators everywhere. Here even reincarnators were not that rare and you could see one or two walking on the streets.

Elijah caught on the feelings hidden on her face, but stood quiet. Even back in the academy, Ava had a strong sense of pride, so it made sense she would be impacted when seeing how many gods there were. He even heard the number of gods is almost three times bigger than that of immortals and other paths with the demons right behind.

"I don't know what to do..." Yalli yelled and grabbed Ava's arm and said while staring at her with puppy eyes. "Can I go with the two sisters shopping?"

"Of course." Ava patted her head, and even Elijah felt moved and thought of nodding before he gasped. Oh gods, she just before a girl recently and already knows how to use her weapons. Elijah thought of how scary she would become if she stayed as a girl and felt a shiver down his spine. He didn't even think of asking what were the weird noises he kept hearing from the her room at night.

As the three left with the little brat Yalli holding their hands, she turned her head and gave a glance full of hidden meaning and Elijah nod and a sweet smile blossomed from her lips when she understood her guesses were correct and left while feeling happy with herself.

Seeing them from afar, Elijah turned, his heart was full of yearning. Yesterday he met his wife, but he really wanted to have a closer look at his son. "Scan the city, let me know where my son Elliot is." After giving the order, he left the plaza while staring at a 3d map of the city projected by his phone. The city had several blocks and only a few minutes later, a red dot appeared on the map. It was close to Eternia Grand Market, an simple inn similar to the one he was staying.

"It seems they won't be leaving their room before the tournament. Well, I think it makes sense, it would be very bad if someone recognized my wife." Walking down the streets, he saw others flying on the sky and sighed. He knew his phone could change into any artifact, even a wing-type artifact for him to fly just like those in the sky, but then his eyes stared forward. He already reached the inn, and if he focused on his eyes, he could see Yalli his friends inside the marked.

[Son, I'm here. Come see daddy with your sis.] Just as he sent his voice and stepped inside the room, a flash of golden light blinded him as he felt a small golden golden tightly holding his body.

Inside Elliot, Yawen and Claire's room, Elijah sat on the ground cross legged while receiving the judging stares of both his wife and daughter. Elliot was in his dragon form standing with his eyes full of playfulness over his dad's head. Aina had left to bring food for Elliot and only the three were there at the moment.

Feeling the way the two stared at him, Elijah asked while feeling a bit nervous. "What did I do wrongly? Can't a father come see his children?"

"Hehe." Both mother and daughter giggled when seeing his stare at them like this and couldn't hold their laugher.

"Come here dad, mom already told me about yesterday." Cassie helped Elijah get up and embraced him. She would not tell it loudly, but she really missed the figure of her young, innocent and playful father. However deep inside she felt really scared, she is not from this timeline and there was even the possibility she would still be born in the future. This made her think how her mom and dad would treat her once their true daughter, for this she refrained herself from calling him dad and be too close to him and Yawen.

Yet how could Yawen and Elijah not see it? Before he left for the time war, the two of them had a long talk about it and they came to terms it wasn't up to them, but Cassie. She needed to come to terms with her past and see she was just as special as Elliot for them.

Walking slowly, Yawen rose her arms and embraced both her daughter and husband. Feeling the warmth from her parents, tears welled up her eyes.

"Cass, I know this entire situation must be really strange to you. But be it here or your own world I will always be your mom just like Elijah is your dad." Hearing Yawen's words, she could not hold anymore and cried out loud.

"Yawen is right. I may not be the best person and like anyone else I am full of flaws, but we'll always be here for you." Elijah wiped away the tears from her face and gave her a smile. Elliot was touched by this family moment and returned to his human form and hugged their legs.

"Sis!"

Just like this they spent time together as a family and soon it was time for the tournament.
