Standing at the border between the divine and void territory, a middle aged man with fully back, eyes and a pale expression as he watched the millions of millions of prime beasts advance. The middle-aged man shared similar features to those of the void clan, yet the vicious and ominous aura nature deep in its essence could be easily seen by others. Behind him were several peak eleventh-realm gods as well as the lord of several mid-sized celestial clans.
Upon having Edward as his new prime king, the great one who had no use to his previous servant and possessed his body, soon, he united with his army of beasts and claimed the throne of power as the World King.
Against the horde of prime beasts, with the newly-claimed World King as their enemy, some families and clans thought the allied forces were nothing but a joke. The difference in powers was too great, and there were also those who had land and family back in the cosmic realm.
The king of the energy life forms had barely resisted before he submitted to the world king. Beside him was Apolo who took half of his clan with him to surrender themselves.
The Void King and the leaders of the royal families were not surprised, not everyone had the courage to face the threat of having those close to them all die. The undead race also brought their forces under the banner of their Phantom God.
Differently from other undead beings, this one stand out with his pink skin and red eyes. He stood in front of his army at the border of the Tempest Territory.
Apolo approached the middle-aged man and bowed down. "My lord, our forces had surrounded most of the major cities in every territory. Soon we'll conquer this world and make it part of the great one."
The World King waved his hand. "Good, tell the other to begin the attack. We must take this world before the worst happens."
"Yes, my lord!" Apolo bowed to the great one and left.
Staring at his flesh body, the middle-aged man felt strange. It was the first time he used a flesh body in his entire existence and it felt a bit weird, but it wasn't a bad feeling. Yet, for some reason he could not stop thinking that something was wrong.
"Strange, I can't feel the any energy in my true body. The existence of mortals seems fainter than ever."
...
I must find a way to escape this cycle!
With his hammer in one hand and his phone in the other, Elijah laughed in Edward's face. "Now I know what the main character suffers in video games. Oh hell, this sucks! But I won't stop unless I try everything."
His phone, then morphed into a gauntlet. Meanwhile, he entered into the depths of his mind. In the outer world, a feather came flying straight towards him who just stretched his hand, which pressed on the feather and threw it at the beast behind him.
"One, two, three, four, five... One, two, three, four, five..." Seizing the opportunity, he moved three steps back, barely avoiding wave of demon fire. This was his one hundred thousand try and his long since memorized most of the old patterns.
Even so, the heat of the flames burned his skin and flesh, but to a person who just experience death a hundred thousand times, this is nothing. Facing the moves of thousands and thousands of beasts, Elijah was dancing with death under the blazing crystal in the sky.
"Those prime beasts are all comparable to celestials, but their intelligence is lacking. As long as I know their next move, only Edward is the true danger." In no time all the beasts had surrounded him, but they failed to hit even a claw on him. Chloe's illusory body was watching all of this with her mouth hanging open and widened eyes. The way Elijah suddenly changes and face this many enemies without his cultivation.
This situation where the beasts trying to attack him with physical and energy attacks continued for a moment before Edward lost his patience and advanced. Elijah's eyes, however, shone brightly as ever. No fear, fury, hatred or even hesitation in his gaze as he suddenly burned his Lifeforce.
...
As he approached the Celestial World core, Elijah felt the heat increase to an astounding rate. It was several times higher than when he was standing on the surface of a star. And to his surprise, a purple shadow in the distance stood out from everything else, an ancient-looking purple orb surrounded by complex runic patterns.
From it, he felt the laws of water, fire, earth, wind, space and time, the solid foundation of any living-world, but on a much larger scale. Well, it was the required amount if they wanted to make an artificial cosmic plane with the size of a galaxy. And for a place which could hold billions and billions of planets, its core must have more than enough to create the same amount of planets and stars.
Seeing his figure staring ceaselessly at the purple orb far away, Chloe. "What should we do now?"
Elijah was overjoyed by what he saw. "It's perfect! I knew it was big, but this is too great. The pure energy and laws in the condensed in the same place are astounding, with this we can solve most problems. Maybe even create a new body for you and the ice princess, she said with her body heavily damaged from the seal, she will need the help of a body designer to make a new body for her."
'Well, I did make Sarina's body back then. So to call me a body designer was not a lie.' He thought to himself as he left hand slowly moved towards his Hammer.
"Show yourself!" Suddenly he drew his weapon, the silence in this vast ocean of sand broke as a thousand silver-eyes beasts surged from the ground.
A voice that came from the deeps of hell, then sounded in his ears. "Eight royal families instead of seven, the existence of those weird towers and buildings. Now this type of cosmic plane, something completely different from what I've seen in other places. You know, your reality is a real singularity."
Even with the all the noise of the beasts and sand flying everywhere, sounds of steps sounded from afar. There, with his silver hair and crown stood Edward holding a long black as thin as a needle in his hand.
With his hammer pointed at Edward, Elijah couldn't hold back his question."How did you recover your senses?"
Edward's hand played with his blade as he replied. "Not that much, the great one returned my senses in exchange for delaying you here."
"I see..." Elijah raised his guard as he mobilized the powers of time around him.
Wiiiiiirlll! Elijah was about to move when everything froze. Edward and his beasts felt something wrong when a strange force fell over them and then they all vanished into thin air.
....
Formless bodies appeared from nothing, from thousands to millions, soon, it reached the same as the number of Edward's forces. Elijah was standing within the many shadows floating around him, his face also turned pale as he spat a mouthful of dry blood. His face aged and several strands of his hair turned white.
"What?" Edward stopped his attack, something about these shadows made him pretty worried. And as their forms became clearer, his concern was revealed to be right on the point.
"Who would have thought I would have to experience so many deaths until I found your weakness, which coincidentally is yourself." Hehe, Elijah smiled to himself. Clearly happy with the way things turned out. "Cough! Cough! I've sacrificed 97% of my remaining lifespan in order to summon this many time shadows with this power. No, I guess Time Mirror is more accurate in this case, I just reflected your army back to you."
Giving a slap on mirrored-Edward's shoulder, he stepped forward. His phone absorbing the matter around him and converting in Lifeforce, which returned the color back to his face. He didn't look as sick as before, but it didn't change his lifespan has decreased to 1 year and a half.
'One year is enough.' He thought to himself.
"So... Let's start the experiment, shall we? To see if your Prime Beasts or my Mirrored Legion is superior."
