"You've won." Edward said as his voice grew weaker. " You may have relied on luck all this time, but don't you think your luck will last forever, It didn't for me, neither will for you. Take this with you, you've proved worthy to carry this for me."
With his last words said, a silver gate flew out of his body and went into Elijah's body together with a small sphere of glass, thunder and lightning flowing within it.
"If you find him one day, then return this sphere together with his weapon for me. I owe him that. I should rest now." The corner of his lips rose in a relieved smile as his body broke into countless pieces and dissolved in thin air.
"I can feel it." Closing his eyes, the presence of a familiar palace hall was back. A little different from the one in his memories, with a huge entrance leading to the huge gardens without any hint of life that extended until where the eye could see.
Leaving the main hall with the silver gate, his eyes observed the solid sky made of the most brilliant jewels in the world. He could also see the palace's true form, The palace was high upon the hill overlooking the endless sea, its many pointed towers giving it the look of an ancient crown. The walls were a white stone that glistened in the summer sun and the roof was gray slate and jewels all over the wall.
New doors and stairs have appeared leading to several hundred rooms. All stair railings were ornamented with pure divine crystals of the highest grade, carved and polished so much that they illuminated the corridors without the need for other light sources.
Elijah explored the entire place only to realize it was all empty, only the main hall seemed to contain something new. There were no more statues, those had vanished, the gate too. It only had one rune, the one he saw Edward using before.
Something like an origin upgraded in its peak state was something really useful for him. In normal cases, an origin that has spent so long with a master couldn't be absorbed by anyone else, But if it was his own self of a different reality, then the chances of success were greatly increased.
Walking a few steps forward, he touched the gate. He must see what was inside the gate, It was like a special type of storage or a seal. It was the safest place to leave an ownerless origin sealed while it awaits for its master.
His hand barely touched the gate before fully opened, revealing something really surprising. Worlds, countless planets, stars and miraculous things were stored in there. Whole galaxies, star sectors composed of several dozen galaxies and soon, an entire universe.
"So you didn't destroy your universe..." His senses searched throughout the countless stars before he locked down to a single one. A familiar place, yet distant place, planet 31-A, his home planet.
It was devoid of any form of life, but he could easily recognize the plains where his family's castle was located. All forms of life may have perished in this cosmic realm, but Edward saved every star, planet and object and stored them in his own body. At the last moments he also understood his true wish.
In the real world, Elijah felt his body was much heavier than before, but he stood there with an absent-minded smile.
"Teacher! I understand your pain and I will surely do what you couldn't. I will restore your reality. This will be the payment for the debt I owe you." Elijah recovered his senses, he may have won Edward, but there was no time to waste. He felt that Yawen and the others must be fighting right now.
"Let's go." Elijah said to Chloe. "It is time to end this."
.....
Void territory, Eternia.
Nearly an hour had passed since both forces clashed and the Void King and the void clan elders were blocking the way into the city.
"Your majesty, where is the boy you told us about." An elder in red cursed as he opened his divinity core at full power.
"I don't know, it may happen at any time. But we must resist until everyone has evacuated."
"Whew!" At that moment, a blazing beam of fire shot out from his forehead and pierced through the sky like a sword of light bringing down thousands of beasts in one second.
Energy surged as a gigantic blasted forward in a blinding light, smashing towards the Void King. Following that, an immense oppressive force surged from every direction.
A single man stood out from the rest as he walked out of the shadows. A female swinging her sword right and left stopped immediately.
"Father?"
The Void King's invisible void energy stagnated and froze in mid air. The appearance of this oppressive force shook both heaven and earth as the fake sky of the celestial world vanished, revealing the terrifying sight of an entire and nearly infinite universe right above them. This aura made many feel like chains attached to their hearts and celestial cores making it almost impossible for them to resist.
The world king who took advantage of his opening to advance forward. Wherever he passed, bodies would fall, an inky black fluid flowed down his arm forming a huge scythe which he slashed down on his arm. For some reason, this oppressive force wasn't that effective on him.
The weaker demigods, fake immortals and those on the verge to become celestial beings who were on the way to the Abyss could hardly breathe before felt their consciousness faint as they fell on the ground. In the entire city, only the two kings, Yawen and a few others remained awake.
Kacha! The fragments of the rained down like bullets, leaving small holes in the ground while injuring both sides. The Void and World kings, stepped back as the former mended the wounds left on his arm.
"What... You did it? No, it wasn't you." The void king's gaze was fixed on this man who wore the body of his son.
"What exactly is happening." Yawen asked as she cleaned the blood on her arm and supported Yalli and Aina who couldn't maintain their consciousness.
A familiar aura fell on her body, something she was used to for a long time. It was just a little, but she could sense an event she has seen a million times.
Clouds, pure black clouds appeared far away as they spread throughout the several territories before covering the entire celestial world in a dome.
"Celestial Tribulation?"
