Knock, Knock*
The Miller family was talking about this new place where they were taken when they heard someone knocking at the door.
"Who is it?" Theodore wondered while his daughter had already headed to the door.
Seeing the beautiful and elegant black-haired lady, Emma gladly greeted her. "Oh, it is Miss Yawen. We're truly grateful for all the help we've received."
Yawen received and hand and shook it lightly. "There is no need. I just came to check upon you four and see if there is anything you need."
"Oh no. We won't need anything, my wife and I as well as my daughters find this place wonderful. It is like the legends about the heavenly kingdoms we only read in the book were taken out of paper and become reality."
To Theodore's words, Yawen lightly nodded. "I see, but your two daughters are so young. It must be boring for them to stay in this room all the time. Ours has more than enough space, and I also have a pair of children, they can get to know each other..."
Loud footsteps were heard coming from the floor below and rising quickly to approach. A young-looking man? With flat chest and a slightly muscular came into the room breathing heavily.
"Your Highness..." Stopping to take a breath, he recovered really fast as he continued. "A spatial gate has begun to open in the royal altar. His majesty the king must have returned. His highness princess Cassie is already there."
Yawen's eyes widen with the news. She turned to apologize for the inconvenience, but she had returned to the palace as something important has happened and that they were free to follow her if they wanted to.
Seeing her figure walking away, the family of four stared at each other and they nodded before following behind.
They didn't know how long since they arrived in this place, but it sure felt like a bit of time has passed. However, since then they never took a step out of the building and when finally putting their feet on the streets they realized how freaking huge was this place.
All the streets looked the same, made with a smooth and cold material that gave them goosebumps as their feet touched the ground. The buildings instead were the opposite, some were as small as an ordinary house, but freakish huge on the inside while others had entrances as tall as their eyes could see.
Most of the people they saw on the way had pale-gray skin and ink-black hair and in normal cases this was the only type of person to walk on these streets, but since they had taken a lot of refugees from several thousand mortal worlds as well as those from the celestial world there were gods and other celestial beings of many different races there.
They just arrived at the back of the palace where huge spatial vibrations were felt from afar. Yawen stepped forward and saw a lot of familiar faces waiting for them gate, Cassie, Little Elliot, Aina and the elders of the void clan were all there and they smiled when seeing the elder princess had arrived.
"Mom!" Little Elliot humped on his mother's arms. The latter played with his bright golden hair as the boy shyly pressed his head on her.
Soon, Cassie also stepped forward, and as if she saw the feeling hidden in her eyes. Yawen took her into the embrace too.
"Mother?!"
'Mother? She said she had children, but they are this big? I thought she looked so young, deities really have it easy.' Layla was stupefied with how old were Yawen's children. Just Cassie had this mature and intellectual air and looked to be as old as her mother if not more. As for the little Elliot boy, she just felt as if he was really familiar to her, both his eyes and face.
Thun!
Dispersing her thoughts, the gate was fully opened and before long three silhouettes could be seen within the nearly solid spatial energy and a dense purple mist that blocked their vision. Then a particularly young voice was heard.
"I did it! Did you see it Chloe?I used their new Trinity Force to create space laws amid chaos and connect with the abyss in one try!"
"You have repeated this for about a thousand times. There is an injured person with us, shouldn't you be helping him first before saying how great you are."
The purple mist slowly vanished and then a young man with golden hair falling to his waist and a little girl with crossed-arms and a light brown hair walked out the gate as the man held a heavily injured person in his arms.
His face was burnt black, all his vessels had been cut open as a black mist surrounds his body.
"You arrived!" Before the others could say anything, Yawen's voice broke the silence as her feet released a gray mist and her body appeared right in front of that man.
Reaching out with his free hand, Elijah held Yawen's hand as the held it tight with tears in her eyes. Soon, her eyes moved from him to the person with arms and she was panic stricken.
"Dad! What happened, why is he like that?."
Elijah handed him to her. "I don't know, I was in the chaotic space with Chloe searching for the abyss when I found a humanoid body floating in the chaos, he was nearly dead when I found Father-in-law and brought him as fast as I could. Take him to rest, I will go see him later."
"En." Using her void energy to form a floating bed where she laid her father, Yawen headed out of the altar. No matter how much she wanted to meet Elijah, she fully believed in him and right now she thought that her father who was in a nearly death state needed more attention.
Elijah was staring at Yawen's back figure with weird eyes, thinking about a few things before his eyes moved to the crowd around. There were the guards of the Royal district, elders of the void clan, Cassie was taking care of Elliot with Aina while the ice princess was nowhere to be seen.
He need scratched his eyes as if he had seen something that wasn't possible. He even stuttered as he asked, unsure. "Layla?"
The Miller family thought something was wrong, and when they heard the voice of this man who was clearly that elegant woman Yawen's husband. Feeling like hit by a thunderbolt, she struggled to remember something, but Elijah had changed too much. Well, who could blame her, not just his face and body was totally different from what it used to be, his powers were on another level to the point he was neither mortal or celestial, he was more like a force of nature, or the spirit of the time. Even the soul in his inner space was gone.
But to make things easier for her, Elijah's face started to change and a familiar dark-haired little boy appeared.
"Elijah?"
