Chapter 6 - The strange feeling...

Jenny's eyes popped open. This time she woke up easily. She needed to go to the bathroom but first checked the situation outside. She slowly pushed the heavy curtains on side and saw that clear light came trough shutters.

But what she saw outside it made her forget even her basic needs. Everywhere people on streets walking like in trance.

She quickly made a call. "Grandfather, outside the fog, is gone, but humans act strange. Please stay inside the shelter for now. I still have no idea what is going on. I won't leave my home anyway so I will be your eyes. For now just be in safety, please."

He smiled. "Child, you need to be safe as well. If what you predicted is true, just stay still inside and don't move too much."

"I'll do that. Thank you." She really felt grateful for their care.

After talking to them she called Mike. ''Hi, Jenny. Yeah, I can see them acting strangely as well. Don't go out for now. We have no idea what will happen next."

"I am here safe, for now. You stay safely in your shelter as well. Talk to you later on." Somehow she felt assured.

But this thing, she needs to take off. Or she will burst. On her way to the bathroom she already took the gear off and just left it on the ground.

When she came out of the bathroom, her long black hair was still a bit wet while she wore the army uniform. Just in case. It was a bit more comfortable than that leather set.

She felt in leather quite... s.e.xy. So she just wore army uniform while under it she had comfortable cotton cloth on. It was a famous brand that promised comfort and it did it really.

She sat down with a plate of food next to the window and peeked outside from time to time. The strange behavior continued for another hour, but then suddenly many things happened at the same time.

Windows from one house got opened and a young woman's voice could be heard screaming. She tried yo escape the house but jumped in mid of crowd outside her home.

The moment the people outside saw her they started moving. Still with stiff limbs but still, so many of them. Jenny felt strangely hyped.

She put the protective gear on and went to her balcony. Then she took spot and started shooting with her silenced gun at people around that woman. Why did she do that?

Now those people, no people they are zombies, were still slow, so she chose to use the chance to kill as many she could and learn with that. She remembered the sword. Should she go down and kill a few in her building?

This building was a bit different than the others. Every floor belonged completely only to one owner. And most of them didn't even live here.

She had no idea why, but somehow she always felt safe here. If there is only one person per floor she might be able to kill one by one. She needs to learn how to use guns and sword anyway.

She lived in 20 story building. It would be a wonder if she did hear her. As soon she came inside she heard the phone ringing. It was from Mike.

"Did you shoot?" His voice was now clear it seems he took off the gear. "You missed many times. You need to shoot more and train more. Don't worry about bullets. As soon as I can I'll bring more to you. I'll start clearing some as well. By the way, I'm on top of the next building. You will see me and my friends here."

She went out and searched the buildings in her surroundings. Then she saw on top of almost as high building a large number of people preparing as it seems for the raid or war.

''Wow. So many people. Arent, you bit stressed?'' She liked to be alone.

He knew her nature and laughed. ''Not everyone is so self sustainable like you. The rest of us need someone to lean on. HAHAHA. Just joking. We are just a few people that had a couple of guns, ignore it. But seriously. I know you like to be alone, but is that even ok? We will come to check your building. Can you let us in. It's better us dealing with the things than you. Don't be foolish. Just use your bullets to learn how to aim. Later on, we will all go for raids and we will need any hand. Including yours. Will you help us?''

She knew that in the world nothing is for free. they could as well choose to take over her apartment and she wouldn't be able to resist. At the same time if she needed help she will have some backup. As long they do not covet her own stuff, it is fine.

''Of course. I am not foolish to believe I can survive alone. I have a friend and her family on the other side of the city. I have the plan to get them here. The owner of the apartment under me gave me his keys and I was thinking to bring them here. Will you help me?'' She needs to bring Mina's family near her.

Like that she could feel insured a bit.

''No problem. Do we need to do it now, or can they stay there for a few days?'' He needed to make preparations.

She could hear the phone ringing but couldn't pick it up because she was puking everything she just ate. After that, she again felt hungry. What is wrong with her?

The phone again runs and on another side, Mike's voice could be heard. ''What happened? What are you talking about?''

''Mike. I feel kind of strange. I am hungry whole time but somehow I am hungry to eat energy. Like literally want to drink electricity. What is wrong with my body. I feel hot and cold and every time I look at zombies somehow I have a feeling I should eat them. Am I a zombie eater? What is wrong with me?'' She really feared that she turned into something even weirder than a zombie.

It was quiet on the other side. She could literally see him staring her way and holding in hand something. Trough the binoculars she could see small stone in his hand and her stomach suddenly churned.

''Ugh, Mike. I feel weird while looking at that stone. What is it?'' She was really vexed. What the hell was really wrong with her?
