Jenny suddenly wrinkled her eyebrows. ''Those people that entered the city are close to the inner city. Find hidden places so we can make a small play for them. We need to make them understand some things.''
Mina looked with worry at Jenny's face that turned grim. ''Are you ok?''
''Those idiots... Go fast behind Mike. We need to get inside. Is that toilet? He is funny hahahha.''
Mike literally rushed towards toilets while his men started giving orders to arriving trucks and busses. Mina and Jenny walked slowly towards toilets as well, seemingly, but actually they needed to rush there as fast as possible.
As soon they came in Jenny explained the situation and Mike played with them. Luckily everything went well so they came out rather fast. Jenny and Mina first then Mike.
He held his belly and looked rather uncomfortable. That is the second part of his play. Let's see if there are some people here that have strange ideas.
But his thoughts were not shared with girls. Jenny rolled her eyes while staring at his acting all sickly. ''Is your man really foolish to believe that anyone is stupid to harm him now, in such perilous situation, where they could die as well? People are not stupid you know. He might get attacked later... Much later. When the wall is standing tall and when the shield is needed but not a must.''
Mina scrunched her eyebrows. ''You think they will move their hands against him?''
''Definitely.'' Her direct answer made both of them stop talking further.
Mike came directly to them and told them about orders. ''Most of the people will slowly open warehouses and containers. They all have weapons. I fear that some zombies might be inside and couldn't escape like others.''
Jenny nodded. Her eyes swept over everyone and then went further away. Mike and Mina followed her gaze and understood her thoughts.
''You plan to check the boats? Why?'' Mina stared at Jenny's huge smile.
''Do you think all the goods are already transported? I want to check every boat. Mike, you should check the large sh.i.p.s with containers as well. I fear we need to check them as well. It is impossible to take all in one day. I planned to make the shield stronger and I might do that tonight. The newcomers can divide and some can stay inside the city and others can come with us. We will need every hand. I think we can make take many things already now with us. Or we can take container by container with us and check them inside the city. Better than checking it now. What do you think?''
They had so many people with them, and they could pack many things. To bad this place is so far away. They will have to come multiple times.
Why did she need the containers you ask? For the basic wall of course. Isn't it easier to make a basic wall with containers and then slowly build a real wall behind it? Containers are big, sturdy and could be filled with all kinds of things. Or they could be used later on for other things. As basic material for metal users or whatever people need it. It is not like they could just dig metal from earth now. they had to have many materials in the city as well for further use.
She had no real plan but was thinking about basic uses. And after all, it's easier to drive the containers and unload them inside the city then to repack them one by one now. It's better to use the trucks to reclaim everything from warehouses. Right?
Slowly the group of people approached huge sh.i.p.s and they could suddenly see the movement on top of one ship. ''Is that a zombie or human?''
One of the guys had binoculars and tried to grasp the moving person and suddenly gasped. ''its a child. And it's very much alive. Quickly, we need to save it.'' As humanity died every human life became precious, especially children.
The whole group of men fully armed rushed towards the ship and the other part stayed down with Mike and his people. Over the walkie talkies, they communicated between the two groups and the news about more people inside stunned them even more. How did they even survive?
Jenny went together with others on boat and found out how. The whole ship was filled with food containers. Unfortunately, these couldn't be taken away at the moment, but they could be scavenged.
She pulled Mike to the side as one thought kept her bothering. ''Mike, we have two burning points here. One is that idiot that escaped us and the other is that new idiot. We can't leave this place unattended. Let me check if my blood still works against zombies. If it does I will leave stains around the whole complex and you leave as many people as you can. They can start by checking every and each container. First, the things we need most. Food. Especially food for babies. Perishable food. Fruits. Vegetables as well. We can leave many people in the city to extract seeds and we can try replanting it. I do not mind turning the whole city into the garden.''
Mike looked at her as she took a small notebook out of her pocket and started writing.
the whole list was ridiculously long so he started laughing. But after noticing Mina's stare he just shut up and carefully looked at it. But as more she wrote the more surprised he became.
''Wait, why do we need this all?'' He stared at big letters where it said cotton seeds.
The two women just shook their heads and started adding more and more things. He didn't understand why they needed any of these things, but what could he do. After all, she was the boss, not him.
If Jenny knew his thoughts she might have beaten him up and closed herself completely inside her house. Who wants to be the boss? On top of that in mid of apocalypse? You are dreaming!
