Chapter 79 - 79. You found her?

''Tarik, wake up.'' A sound could be heard through the small speaker over his head. ''Join us!''

Laughter could be heard in the background and he opened his eyes. Strange. It has been only one night and he felt like he was part of a huge messy family. But he liked it.

Before everything started he saw all those bad things that could be seen in humanity. But since the apocalypse, none of that mattered. The only important thing in this situation was to survive, together.

And he could feel that Jenny was not one of those people that really cared. For Godness sake she even accepted two vampires! But thinking about it he has to stop thinking this way. If she said they belong to their group, their family, then they do.

With a smile, he opened the door to his compartment and saw them smiling brightly at him as they prepared breakfast. Jenny was this time in the kitchen and was frying eggs and pancakes. Even tho he was not so much into sweet things, today he didn't care.

Seeing plates filled with food and everyone waiting for Jenny to sit down he sat next to Steven and waited as well. He could see her rolling her eyes and smiling, ''Fools. Eat.''

''No. You eat as well!'' Kala cutely blinked at her with her big eyes making her laugh heartily.

''Fine, fine. Let me just finish this.'' She finished it and sat down. ''Now let's talk. Tonight I plan to have a barbeque and I invited a few people from this city. But, that doesn't mean I invented those from before. So if some of them try to sneak in, you better be ready. And except for this group we have now, I plan not to accept for a while any other to join. We must rush to that place now down the river and I need to make sure we get there on time. Luckily this city had enough stone resources so I will use the chance to have new expansion. I wanted to buy a flying vehicle like a plane or something, but it is just way too expensive. Anyway, the expansion is better than buying completely new things.''

They are her family so she was quite open about her plans. Not long as they were chatting happily right after her announcement, a call could be heard from outside. ''Anyone here?''

Even tho there were guards everywhere, they didn't stop people walking here or there and Commander knew Jenny's crew was not simple so he didn't want to get involved or let his people get involved in any problems. Especially after he already got what he wanted.

Jenny went outside and saw a young woman that haughtily stared at her. ''I heard you might be leaving soon towards the capital. Take me and my people with you.''

''No.'' Jenny calmly crossed her arms over her c.h.e.s.t and answered nonchalantly.

''You! Do you know who I am?'' The young woman hissed while she pointed her finger towards Jenny's face, making the few people that stood behind her to raise their weapons towards the idiot. ''What? You dare to point weapons towards President's daughter!''

''Oh?'' Jenny took out her satellite phone and a familiar voice could be heard answering. ''Hello? Mr. President? Jenny here? Uhm, I need to ask a strange question. Do you have all your family members with you?''

He inhaled sharply. ''My daughter is somewhere, but I can't find where. Did you find her?''

''I guess she found me. But I really dislike the way she speaks to me. I am neither her servant or yours. I indeed have a plan to come now straight to your place, but the problem is, I have no space for her and no I can't make space for her. This town is, for now, safe and I am sure no one would dare to harm her here. When storms calm down, you can fly here and pick her up.'' She calmly explained as the young woman shook in anger. This is the first time that someone speaks to her this way.

''May I speak to her?'' Jenny could clearly hear his voice shaking.

''Sorry, but the battery on this phone is low. I think it's better if she goes to the main office. Call the Commander and talk to her later on. I will talk to you again after the phone is charged again.'' She could hear him sighing and added. ''She looks fine, don't worry.''

''Thank you.'' He was really grateful that she was fine. Not many knew that she was missing until they had to do go to the safety of the underground bunker. But then it was already too late. She snuck out and went with her friends to the north to party.

''You... you... I will ask my father to punish you!'' As she was still young, many things were not clear to her so she just spouted threats.

''Number one, your father is a President, not the Emperor. Number two, even if he was the Emperor, he wouldn't do that. Now go on. He wants to talk to you. The commanders' office has satellite phones. I have no idea why you didn't try to contact him for so long. It makes no sense.'' Jenny was wondering. It's been months now. Why didn't she notice her father where she was?

''Nothing fo your business.'' She huffed and stomped away, followed by a dozen or so people that clearly tried their best to protect her.

Jenny felt sorry to them and to Commander but then shrugged. ''Let us make a plan. Get inside, Let us see what kind of changes could this thing make after expansion.''

Everyone cheered and soon just humming from inside could be heard and nothing else. A man came close to the RV and furrowed his eyebrows. They were clearly loud inside, but why can't he understand what they were saying?

With a strange expression, he turned away and grumbled. ''I must find out what is going on soon. They are leaving tomorrow.''

Unknown to him everyone inside could hear his words...
