After a while, Luke finally managed to use the right amount of power to make a single one of the monsters survive his attack. It took some attempts as well to wound the monster and not to kill it while he was using Tame. Those creatures were quite tough, but the toughness that caused him trouble now certainly will help him in the future.

"All right, your name will be… Ryhorn," Luke said.
"It seems like a powerful creature, but it has some serious weaknesses," Shalia said. "It can't fly, it doesn't have long-ranged attacks, and it is completely hopeless against surprise attacks from above."
While that was true, Luke was just satisfied he got a high-level monster on his arm. The weakness was obvious, but against certain types of creatures, Ryhorn would be very useful. Just thinking about how awesome it will be to have an army of those made Luke smile in anticipation. The elemental weakness was also a problem, but Luke had an idea in how he could solve some of those problems
"The only real problem is what I am going to do with you now… you certainly won't be able to keep up with us while we fly," Luke said.
The number of zombies in that area was small, and unless he takes his time defeating the other monsters, it will be dangerous to leave Ryhorn defeating the monsters by herself. Also, before capturing it, Rina confirmed it was a girl.
"We will have to slow down the pace until we find a small city in which we can leave her to clear the place," Rina said.
Luke nodded. Regardless, he immediately went to the center of the city and then found the crystal. In the end, he had an easy time destroying it since he used Lightning… he had imagined that something unexpected would happen, but… that was disappointing. In any case, the monsters tried to chase Luke, but they soon lost him.
After escaping the city while riding Ryhorn, Luke decided to give Artiuno some time to rest. Even if he hurries up, he would have to wait for Ryhorn, after all. So, he might as well test the limits of her strength. Even after two hours, there was no sign of her stamina decreasing or of her slowing down… the only problem was the fact that she couldn't turn in corners quite well…
Luke thought that he would have a hard time finding a suitable place for Ryhorn to hunt by herself, but after crossing some small cities, he found another group of monsters, facing a horde of zombies… or so Luke thought. The zombies had mutated again, and they became quite different from their previous versions.

Luke had to blink several times and scratch his eyes when he saw that… the zombies had turned into skeletons. He was pretty sure that was the case since they were on the exits of a relatively big city, and some Mud Dolls were fighting them. The skeleton knights even had steel swords, shields, and helmets, and they weren't alone… if the strength-based zombies had become skeleton knights, the speed types had mutated into skeleton archers. They had bows and arrows made of bones… that wasn't everything. The fire zombies had become skeleton wizards.
"You two love to surprise me, huh…" Luke said.
"You are a lot less surprised than I was when I saw them for the first time," Shalia said.
"Well, I am a big gamer, after all," Luke shrugged.
"Would you believe it if I told you that this was going to happen?" Rina asked.
"I actually would," Luke replied. "I mean, there are dog-like monsters laying eggs. What else could surprise me more?"
That might be a bit weird to say, but that was how Luke felt. In any case, even though they supposedly lost their zombie's brains, the skeletons were fighting a lot more organized than before. The knights were on the front lines and holding back the enemies while the archers and wizards were making bone and elemental arrows rain down the mud Dolls. Ryhorn might fight and win against some of the knights, but the other two types of enemies sure will be a pain in the ass.
"I guess there is no other choice…" Luke said and then grabbed the grenades on his backpack. "I will exterminate the skeletons and leave the mud Dolls in the hands of Ryhorn. They are a good matchup… by the way, the mud Dolls here are being controlled by the same being as in Havana?"
"Yes…" Rina replied. "Still, you should be careful, for someone able to summon this many monsters... can't be taken lightly."
Luke rubbed his chin thoughtfully… was there a reason why those spatial overlords would use the same species of monsters to attack different parts of the world? They didn't seem brain dead like the monsters… so that seemed a bit off. In their place, Luke would be the best monster to attack different areas based on their terrain and enemies that might be found there. However, Luke wasn't an overlord. He had no idea how they created monsters, but some species like the wolves seemed easier to understand. They just made the stronger ones breed as much as possible.
For someone like Luke, who was in a hurry, it didn't seem like the best method, but it certainly was the easiest to use. The only problem was Tame leveling up speed, he had it for a month now, and it still was at level three… the passive skills were taking too much time to level up.. Luke had found a solution to that problem.
