Luke knew that the enemy was strong, but by finally seeing the status of that creature, he understood the difference in power. The goblin lord wasn't much different from the others, the only difference was the fact that he was actually using a real blue armor instead of one made of ice, and instead of a hammer, he had a blue long sword that was like two meters long… it was also pretty large, so a thrust attack certainly would split those who get hit by it in two. It seemed like a weapon several ranks higher than his frozen claymore... something that truly would fit Luke's fighting style, but at that moment, that thing was crossing his mind for obvious reasons.
When the goblin Lord landed on the area, the atmosphere changed… some looked at the creature in anger, while most looked insanely afraid. As for Luke, he was only wondering if his plan would truly work. Nevertheless, the ice goblins used the moment the survivors stopped attacking to launch their counterattack. Rachel cursed her carelessness for letting that happen. Meanwhile, Luke and Richter moved away from the area while glaring at the goblin lord, the creature noticed the challenge and followed them.
As if he knew that Luke was the weakest there, the goblin lord didn't pay much attention to him, but that only made Luke smirk. He couldn't have asked for a better situation. With his sword already in hand, Luke dashed toward the enemy, but then suddenly the creature disappeared. In the next moment, the boss sliced in half the spot Luke had been before… However, it cut nothing and the monster felt a stinging pain on his wrist. There was a small cut there that was closed in a single moment, and then the boss found Luke standing several meters behind him. That wasn't supposed to be possible… The difference in speed was that high.
While the monster was a bit confused, Richter dashed and attacked him from behind. However, the boss blocked his attack without any problem… Richter had gotten stronger since the last time they fought, but he still was no match for him. The goblin Lord decided to split him in half, but then he felt some bloodlust coming from behind. In the next moment, he felt a stinging pain in his wrist again and then Luke appeared on the other side… this time, the monster saw him moving clearly. Unlike his status showed him to be, he was moving almost at the same speed as the goblin Lord… but why didn't he go for the head? While the monster was thinking about that, Richter stepped backward and left the range of the boss.
"Eh… for a monster, he sure is using his head," Luke muttered.
"Don't drop your guard yet…" Rina said.
That goes without saying and saying yet was weird… Nevertheless, the monster knew that Luke was up to something, so it decided to take him out with a rain of Ice arrows. The projectiles fell from the sky at an astonishing speed, but Luke managed to dodge those by sidestepping. It was at that moment, that the goblin Lord realized that Luke was using Dash to increase his speed, but that wasn't enough to attack him without giving him the chance to counter-attack… so, it seemed that Luke was using another skill.
Eventually, the goblin Lord realized that Luke was combining Stinger and Dash to move at least two times faster than his status granted him, but Rina was also helping by increasing his speed whenever Luke moved. Nevertheless, Luke wondered what he would feel if he were scratched by those Ice Arrows. Those projectiles pierced the ground quite a lot, and created small craters… The boss was supposed to be a warrior type, but he wasn't lousy when it comes to magic.
In any case, the monster realized that he should fight on the pace determined by those two, things will only go as they had planned if that were to happen. So, the goblin Lord dashed toward Richter with all his might… the monster's attack somehow was blocked by Richter's sword, usually, he would have been sent flying to the distance by the attack, but the goblin Lord saw Luke moving and using Stinger. The creature thought Luke was going to deflect the attack, but he just aimed at the wrist of the monster again and just landed another scratch.
The monster glared at Luke… it knew what he was doing, but he couldn't u understand the meaning behind those silly attacks. The monster had confidence in his defense, but Luke shouldn't be able to tell how sturdy the creature was yet… even Richter never managed to land a good hit on him, he certainly didn't learn from him. Was that a mind game to gain time and make the survivors join the fight later after dealing with the other goblins? All that thinking made the monster realize that he was getting on their pace again...
The monster weirdly took a deep breath and then raised its left arm for a moment. In the next second, three ice swords appeared and they began to spin and rotate around the creature's body… the monster didn't want to focus on Luke, but that certainly would stop his weird attacks. Even Richter won't leave unscathed if he approaches the monster now.. However, much to the monster's surprise, Luke still charged as nothing had changed.
