Chapter 179 - The Elf's World (7)

Instead of using Luke's sword to block the attack, the overlord threw to the side in a simple and slow motion, but it still made the weapon pierce several walls..  it probably even flew away from the castle… Regardless, the overlord only used his forearm to block Luke's attack. He underestimated the power of his attack, though. The first strike of the skill pierced his dark armor quite a bit and even made the ground of the entire room crack. Before the second strike could land, the overlord used both arms to block the attack. On the third one, some blood began to flow from his arms, making him show an annoyed expression.

Before the fourth strike, the overlord turned around so fist and kicked Luke, he thought that would stop his attack, but it didn't. Luke felt like his stomach was about to split in two, but he still finished the skill before he was sent flying and collided against one wall. Rina tried to heal him, but then she flinched when she felt the bloodlust of the overlord.

"The queen of the elves appeared in my castle… that makes it things more simple," The overlord said.

Rina prepared her whip to attack, most likely, it wouldn't be enough to stop that guy, but she didn't have any other option, she had to try anyway. Still, before any of them could do anything, Luke dashed toward the enemy and then used Stinger.

"That hurt, you fucking cunt!" Luke said and then raised the next axe as if he was preparing to use Weapon Augmentation again.

The overlord raised both arms to block the strike and he turned around to prepare another kick, but Luke never activated Weapon Augmentation. He used Hurricane and then Flamethrower to put the overlord on fire. That surprised the enemy, but what surprised him, even more, was the effect that Luke was controlling the spell and making it move backward toward the crystal. Still, the overlord strengthened his legs and then he suddenly stopped moving. That made Luke click his tongue since he wasn't causing much damage with that combo. Stoll, that bought enough time for Rina to heal him and throw one of her boomerangs toward the neck of the overlord. He tried to stop that, but then Luke charged again and this time, he used Weapon Augmentation. He began to block the attack again, but the boomerangs cut his neck a little bit and applied their effects, making the creature a lot heavier.

In the end, the overlord had to endure the full power of Weapon Augmentation this time and the wounds in his arms were increasing in size. As if that wasn't enough, Shalia fired two ice needles toward his eyes at fearsome speeds, but the dark armor protected him even there.

When the effects of the boomerang ended, Luke was already several meters away from the overlord and he glared at him with his eyes full of hatred, but he didn't do anything… he just watched the weapon falling apart in Luke's hands. He recognized Weapon Augmentation, but the power of that one surpassed anything similar…

"A difference in rank, I suppose…" The overlord said.

"What a carefree guy you are…  analyzing me in the middle of the fight," Luke said and then fired some Stone Cannons toward the creature's face.

The projectiles flew at a fearsome speed, but the overlord blocked them with ease by using the back of his hands. That made him click his tongue, but it wasn't that surprising.

"I heard that the queen of elves ran away to another world… you seem like one of those humans," The overlord said. "You are just being used by her, such a fool… you are the type of person I loath the most."

"I didn't ask your opinion, if she is using me, what were you planning to do with the prisoners?" Luke asked.

"The strong can rule over the weak as long as they had been conquered," The overlord said.

"I see, my turf, my rules, huh," Luke said.

Luke had no idea why that creature decided to talk now, but that would be helpful to him. After all, Luke didn't know how to defeat a monster stronger than the goblin Lord and without Richter help. He considered giving Rina some chances to attack and make the thorns of her whip to poison the enemy, but it was unlikely that they would be able to pierce the skin with the dark armor on the way. In the worst-case scenario, he will grab Rina whip and leave her completely defenseless. 

"Luke, I have an idea… but you will have to conserve your mana for a while," Shalia whispered.

Luke nodded and the overlord realized that they were up to something. He couldn't let them do as they saw fit. While he was stronger, the overlord could see those three caused him a lot of trouble given the chance. Not to mention, he felt the aura of an overlord when he touched that sword… it seemed that they had already defeated one, so they shouldn't be underestimated.

In the next moment, the overlord made his dark armor envelop his arms. The rest of his body was unprotected revealing a creature with grey skin that looked as buffed as the hulk. Even Luke with his poor senses could tell that the enemy was focusing all his energy on his arms to attack and defend… that was bad, Luke could tell that a single hit would crush him from head to toe. Even Rina was sweating  Bullets, but Shalia looked relatively calm.

"Do it, Luke," Shalia said.

That was easier said than done, but then Luke realized that she was thinking about her plan. Luke couldn't see the full picture yet, but he decided to trust his friend.. Luke equipped the two remaining axes within his two hands and then used Weapon Augmentation. The overlord smiled while seeing that challenge and they charged toward each other…
