Although they belonged to different species, elves and dark elves also had the same problems as humans. Some were too cowardly, some were too self-interested, and couldn't see anything else aside from their own point of view.
"You might not be convinced, but you will confirm that once you see some of my people, you will be fine, though, since you are much stronger than any of them," Shalia said.
"Well, I can easily imagine your people," Luke said. "Instead of that, I am worried that I might end up helping the process of extinction of the dark elves by being as ruthless as you want."
"Don't worry about small details, we can repopulate this planet later," Shalia said while she was caressing Luke's chest. "We will have a lot of time to do that."
"Well…" Luke said and then stopped when Rina pulled his ear. "Let's focus on the task at hand.
Putting that demonstration aside, Luke was worried since Shalia never showed any sign that she was homesick, and even now, she didn't seem that much happy in return. That was a bit worrisome. Even if he knew that his home would be a mess, Luke would look forward to returning after several months away. Maybe she was feeling like that because most of the people that she cared for wouldn't be there waiting for her… Nevertheless, Luke ran around the plans for a while, looking for any signs of recent activities, but he found nothing. That complicated things a bit… so he began to wonder: if he were two brats, which direction would he choose to go?
After thinking for a while, Luke asked Shalia to create an ice platform and make them rise upward as much as possible so that he could check the areas beyond the horizon. After going up for several kilometers, he found some movements in the south and some explosions in the east. His eyesight had become quite good, but he couldn't see with precision something that was dozens of kilometers away. Nevertheless, he decided to check things in the south first.
"Do you remember if there was some crystal around this area before you left?" Luke asked.
"No, but depending on the power level of the monsters, the crystal wouldn't stay working for long in such an area," Shalia replied.
Just as Luke had imagined, he found a pack of monsters running around and putting fire on things. He had seen those creatures before, but they were fifty percent bigger than he recalled. Thanks to that, they were even slower. They were the turtle-like creatures that made smoke emerge from their backs.

"Their levels are quite high, they also have more skills than I remember…" Luke said.
Luke had over thirty monsters now, so maybe it was about time for him to do some research regarding how they become stronger and learn new skills. Those were probably the new since they didn't have different skills from the others. As for the old ones, they should have a lot more since they probably came in contact with skill while they were fighting over the years. Nevertheless, Luke didn't have time to fight with them, and he didn't find any signs of fighting. They were just spreading destruction and fire to create a better environment for them…
"Let's check the Eastside of this region," Luke said.
Shalia had access to her real powers now, but her mana was limited. Luke confirmed that his magic link was at level three, so he put her on the link as well. Once she did that, she began to create ice platforms in the air, and Luke jumped over them to cross the area faster.

Shalia was at a pretty high level, but it was only natural since she also received experience from the enemies Luke defeated.
"You have nice abs now, Luke," Shalia said while she was caressing his stomach.
"Get serious, Shalia… we are doing important work now," Luke said while he was carrying her on his back. "Besides, it tickles."
"So, do.you dislike it?" Shalia asked while smiling and playing with his belly button.
"Dislike is a strong word," Luke said and then focused his eyes in the distance and found the fire pests fighting some weird giant wasps that had metal covering some parts of their bodies.
They were pretty similar to the wasps Luke faced before. Still, those didn't have the ice attribute, and their physical defense was a lot high, considering that they were insects. Nevertheless, they could fly pretty fast, but the fire spears exploded when they failed to dodge it.
"No signs of them here either… can you feel their mana?" Luke asked.
"No," Shalia replied.
"What about sending a message?" Luke asked.
"A message made of mana can be detected by any decent dark elf, so if we do that, we will reveal ourselves," Shalia replied.
Luke let out a sigh. Those two were causing too much headache to him.. The next time he sees them… Luke had to think of a fitting punishment for two brats.
