Saint walked into the warm sunlight that beamed brightly onto the floor, illuminating the kitchen. It cast through a large black-trimmed giant modern window that let in a scene of the beautiful middle ground in between the two buildings. A large enough space with a long-running track around a middle, pond, and stream with a few trees and a bunch of plants. All of which looked wet, fresh, and dewy from the melted thin layer of frost that had happened overnight. The light brightened the midnight blue steel kitchen and its shiny cold interior.
Everyone was seated around a long black iron table with a glass inlay, the table was set with placemats and dishware at every spot. He thought that the grande table filled with dish after dish was inviting and homey despite how minimalistic it was. There were two open seats on the opposite side, right next to Changwook and next to Kit.
There were five main dishes and about ten small side dishes placed staggered across the table, main dishes surrounded by smaller complimentary side dishes.
Everyone in the house was already seated and eating slowly. A few of them conversed between themselves before he walked in. Changwook sat with his hand cupping his head as he talked animatedly to Jaemin and Miran about something.
Saint walked around to the opposite side and pulled out a chair then sat down in the chair next to Kit. He reached out and grabbed a side dish he knew he was particularly fond of from back when he lived in Seoul. The skinny japchae noodles were crunchy and delicious while the vegetables were slightly moist with a nice crunchy texture still despite being covered in sesame oil and fried.
"How was your sleep?" Mark asked.
"I hope the accommodations were okay. That they were comfortable. I know it isn't a hotel stay style."
Saint smiled.
"It was fine, the bed is really comfortable. Thank you."
Saint heard some footsteps behind him and turned around before noticing Heart out of the corner of his eye. He pulled out the empty chair next to him and patted the seat.
Heart walked around the table and sat down.
"Morning." Heart said, yawning and ruffling his hair.
Saint sucked back a breath. He had come out making sure it didn't look like they had just had a heated tussle in bed. He had told Heart before leaving the room that he looked like he had been steamrolled, so maybe, just maybe, he should take a few extra minutes to collect himself, and so he had hoped Heart had been able too.
But seeing him now... He looked over, then quickly looked down at his plate to hide the smile he was trying to eat harder than the noodles.
He had attempted to become a kempt man, but his clothes were slightly ruffled, and his skin was flushed a warm pink, especially his ears. It was almost like he was thinking so hard about not getting caught it had become openly prominently apparent that he was hiding something.
Things that should have been inconspicuous just turned into blaring signals that said, 'hey, I just had sex, and I liked it.'
He sat rubbing the back of his head nervously and wasn't helping any, his fluffy auburn hair was just starting to stick up in every direction. While his hand pushed against his face hiding inside his overly long sleeves just made him seem even smaller and an easier target.
Heck Saint was feeling urgings to ask him how it was.
'Why do you make yourself such a delectable target all the time, my love? Oi, whatever they say to you, I am afraid you have it coming, and I may just have to poke too...'
'It's too good a chance not to.' He thought.
"So how was your sleep, Heart?" Mina asked.
"Huh, what?... Oh, it was good, good, nice, fantastic."
"Are you still feeling sick?" Seungwoo asked.
Heart turned to the right to look at him. He sipped his water carefully.
"Yeah, you know, are you still feeling hard all over? Everywhere?"
"You seem pretty soft and fluffy to me... Maybe a little... disheveled. But hard certainly not." Ten poked fun.
Saint watched Heart, carefully and saw his ears tint just a bit more.
"I slept in late." Heart mumbled softly.
Saint wondered if anyone would leave it at that.
"Slept in late... Are you sure, I could have sworn when I passed by your room a little bit ago to head out for my run that I heard voices... Two voices." Ten teased.
Saint glanced up at Ten glaring. He reached out a long leg and stepped on it gently enough not to hurt him, but with enough pressure that he could tell what he was doing. Ten blinked up at him innocently, grinning like a happy cat who was more than satisfied with the mischief it was making.
Saint shook his head slowly.
'Keep going, and I will make sure they don't find your body.'
"Shut Up." He mouthed at him, taking his spoon and using it to whack the little bun he was picking up from the middle of the table out of his hands. He grabbed it quickly before Ten could then tore into it with his incisors making sure to stare Ten down the entire time.
Ten shrugged his shoulders while continuing to eat.
Playing innocent, that he hadn't just bullied his best friend's boyfriend.
Saint turned away ignoring Ten entirely.
"I am going to head out with Seungwoo after this. Are you sure you are okay heading out with Ten alone?" Saint asked Heart.
Heart turned to look at him, his cute cheeks full of food. He swallowed quickly, took a sip of water then nodded his affirmation.
"We are not going alone, Miran and Mina said they will come with us if they can manage to get away for the day."
"Seungwoo they can manage to get away for the day can't they?" Saint said firmly, looking over at Seungwoo.
Seungwoo smirked.
"I think Mark can live without them for a day." He said back in Thai then quickly switched to Korean.
"You can make due for a day or two without Miran and Mina while they show our guests around? Right, Mark?" Seungwoo said in almost the same tone that it was a clear indicator of it being less of a politely worded request and more of a politely worded demand.
"Okay, it's settled you two can have fun while Kit and I are busy. It's only two days of nonsense then we can all play for the remaining three days." Saint said as if there was no ability to refute him on the matter.
"Next time, I am not taking my boss on my vacation." Kit said with a sigh, but he was clearly playful as he said it with a large grin on his face.
Saint grinned back at his cousin.
"Next time you won't get paid for going on vacation then." Saint teased back.
"I didn't say anything, did you hear anything?" Kit asked looking at Ten.
Ten shook his head vigorously.
"Not a word."
