There was just the sound of Doris' breath hovering in Jay's ear.
Jay was having a sleepless night.
He tried again and again to suppress the evil thoughts in his heart and forced himself to get some sleep.
But the more he forced himself, the more restless he became.
The little beast named desire made his body increasingly restless, making his mouth dry and tongue scorched.
He touched Doris stealthily with his shivering hand but withdrew it quickly in case of being found by her.
He felt like a young, inexperienced boy who had just fallen in love.
It was so strange but beautiful.
Deeply immersed in his own thoughts, Jay fell asleep at dawn.
He had just fallen asleep for a while, but woke up suddenly as he felt an awful pain in his ear. He felt so distressed as if his ear were about to be torn apart.
"Ouch, this is very painful!" Jay gasped in pain.
He opened his eyes, only to witness Doris sitting in front of him and pulling his ear.
She stared at him intensely, with a look of tearing him apart.
"Why are you lying on my bed?" she asked angrily.
She seemed not
. She was filled with tension and anxiety.
In a bid to relax her, Charles turned on the music.
But Nancy couldn't relax.
"Charles, do you think Nadia would have got affected by the severe typhoon last night?"
How could Charles know about that?
However, he was left with no other choice but to comfort Nancy, "No, she'll be fine."
"Are you sure?" She was in a panic, thinking about Nadia. She wanted to hear an exact answer. Although she knew that she couldn't get it from Charles now, she just wanted to talk to him. As if her daughter would be fine as long as he confirmed it to her.
"Yes. Nancy, I promise you, I will get her back for you," Charles said affirmatively.
Nancy rubbed her hands and looked out through the window anxiously.
They drove for a long time and it seemed to be noon. "Charles, look at that car."
On the muddy road, a red Bentley with broken glasses was parked.
Who else would drive such a high-end car in this wild place except for Flora?
"Wait for me in the car. Do not get out. I need to check what's going on," said Charles, stopping the car at once.
