"Nancy, why did you go on a blind date?" He glowered at Nancy with an aggressive look. The fire of anger in his eyes seemed to burn her into ashes.
"You do know that Auntie is now at the change of life, and I guess all of us have to obey her a little bit. So, I just..." Nancy hemmed and hawed.
"I see. But remember one thing. Don't meet any other man without my permission in the future!" Charles said arrogantly.
"What?" Nancy was shocked and surprised with Charles' bossy attitude.
"Well, that's it!" After that, his knees became weak suddenly and he twisted his brows in pain.
Nancy shrugged helplessly and thought, 'Don't know why, but everyone in the Fu family seems to be a little unreasonable. Never mind. I might as well put up with it for the moment.'
"Are you okay?" Nancy asked with a nervous look.
"It hurts!" Just an instant before, he was so angry that he didn't feel any pain. But now, he could hardly stand still because of the pain on his ribs.
Nancy hurried to help him sit down.
"Sit down here. Let me examine you." Nan
"Dorothy, please don't get him wrong. He's just kidding. You know how Bobby wanted a mother, so he calls Nancy as Mommy," Angelina explained immediately.
"Oh, I see. Yeah, I get it," Dorothy said with a smile.
"You can't understand!" Charles said indifferently and took a sip of milk.
"Well, I'll try to understand him," Dorothy said in a flattering tone.
Right since her return, Charles had been indifferent to her. Was he still angry with her due to the decision she had taken years ago, or...
Dorothy glanced at Nancy uneasily.
Why did it seem to her that the two children, along with Charles and Nancy, were one harmonious family?
The feeling was so outrageous!
"I will call Nancy Mommy all my life," Bobby said slowly, eating the prawns.
With a smile on Charles' face, he wiped his hand with a handkerchief and threw it away, saying, "I'm okay with that."
"Charles, don't talk nonsense. Bobby is just an innocent kid. But you are a CEO of a business conglomerate and you should mind your words," Angelina said as her face darkened.
