Nancy looked nonchalant. Her face was devoid of any expression.

Her indifference made Charles immensely sad. It broke his heart. He wasn't expecting Nancy's attitude towards him would change so drastically. Didn't she care about him at all?

He looked at her crestfallen. "Nancy, do you really have no feelings for me? Don't you care about me at all? I don't love her. Don't you believe my words Nancy? I'm telling you the truth," he pleaded. But when she didn't respond to him, his demeanor changed in a blink. He pushed Nancy against the wall by her shoulder as anger flashed through his eyes.

He leaned forward and pressed his lips on hers, kissing her desperately trying to make her believe him. The kiss was angry, long but passionate at the same time.

Nancy was taken aback with his sudden action. She tried to free herself from his grasp. "Uh... Charles, let go of me!" But she was way too fragile compared to his broad masculine frame. She couldn't utter a single word after that as Charles shut her off with another hard kiss.

Dorothy was flabbergasted by Charles's ferocity. She couldn't believe her eyes at what she was seeing. It made her angry and at the same time she was jealous of Nancy. What she couldn't get from Charles, Nancy was receiving without even trying.

She watched then with a vicious glare and cursed Nancy in her mind. Nancy was the kind of woman who attracted men like sirens attracted unwary sailors to doom.

At that moment, Frederic called out from downstairs, "Charles, Drew and Sherry are here."

When Charles heard that, he abruptly broke the kiss and took a

by cry.

Nancy forcefully pulled her hand out of Charles's grasp and stepped back, standing aside.

Nancy had a feeling that this Zhuang family wouldn't be friendly to her. It was evident from the expression they wore.

"Oh, Dr. Nancy is also here," Sherry taunted immediately, while she glanced between Charles and her evilly.

"I was just taking care of Bobby," Nancy quietly answered. She could do nothing but to have patience with these people right now.

"Yes, of course. Bobby does need to be taken care of," Sherry retorted with a harsh tone instantly. Then her eyes fell on the crying kid.

"Why are you crying, Bobby?" Sherry walked up to him and feigned concern.

Bobby didn't like her, so he averted his head the other way, sniffling.

Then he scowled, "I don't want to talk to you. Go away."

"Don't be rude like your Daddy, Bobby! Mind your words," Frederic scolded angrily.

But Bobby didn't stop at that. He snapped again, "I know you all want my mommy to leave me and my Daddy. You are all bad guys. I don't want to see you and talk to you." Bobby cried aloud.

"Oh? Such big words from a kid. I can see what is going on here. You're being taught those words by some adults. Aren't you, Bobby? I also can tell who that person is." While speaking these words, Sherry looked at Nancy fiercely.

Nancy furrowed her eyebrows at that accusation and bit her lips. But she kept quiet nonetheless. If it weren't for Frederic present there, she would definitely have retaliated.

"Dr. Nancy will stay here until Bobby recovers. No longer than that," Frederic answered for her.
