Nancy rang President Hobart up and asked for a leave. Then, she looked at Charles and asked, "Where are we going?"
"Can't you have a date with me?" Charles said angrily.
He was actually teasing her. He didn't understand why she laughed so happily with another man but looked so unpleasant when she was with him. He was actually possessive about her, wanting her with him, and always within reach.
But why did she behave so indifferently?
Did she really have no feelings for him?
Even so, he really loved her so much.
When he came to know that she had a blind date with others, he was so jealous that he lost his cool and almost went crazy. He even felt like he wanted to destroy the whole world.
But whenever she faced him, she would remain so calm and collected, as if nothing had happened.
How could she do this!
"We are not a couple. What date are you talking about?" Nancy gazed at him with an indifferent expression.
Without saying another word, he opened the car door.
He said in a commanding tone, "Get into the car. I want to take you to a place."
"Where are we going?" Nancy aske
at!" Angelina said proudly.
Joseph curled his lips in defiance.
"Wow, Miss Nancy is so well matched with Mr. Charles!" a woman said in admiration.
"Yes, she is a perfect match for Mr. Charles!" said another woman.
"Do rich men like poor girls? Both Dorothy and Lucy are from rich families, but Charles and Jay just don't like them," said the first woman.
"It's not like what you said. These ladies from the rich families are arrogant. It's too difficult to please them. If my son gets married, I will certainly ask him to avoid those type of women!"
People talked about them. But Nancy looked steadily forward.
"Nancy, you are here!" As soon as she got there, Doris ran towards her.
"Yes, you are here too," said Nancy in a relaxed voice. When the two girls met each other, they had so much to talk about.
So did Jay and Charles. They always talked about business when they met each other.
"Nancy, let's go there." Holding her hand, Doris took her to the fruit section. Then she took a plate of blueberries and said, "Let's eat this."
As she spoke, she took Nancy's hand and sat on the sofa.
