Landon had just revealed something truly explosive. Everyone was flabbergasted by what they had just learned.
After a moment of pause, Winnie broke the silence with a shriek.
"Grandpa, you have got to be kidding. Right?"
'Shouldn't grandpa be on my side?' she thought. She believed that the man had no reason to allow the marriage of Jay and Doris.
Her mind was a mess. She couldn't think properly.
"Yeah, grandpa must be kidding!" Jennie seconded.
"Ahem!" Eric's face turned red due to fright. He patted his chest as he coughed and stammered, "Dad! Please don't make such absurd jokes again. I can't really bear them!"
"I'm not kidding. I'm serious," Landon said with conviction.
The old man's words made Jay uneasy.
Jay was just trying to get rid of Winnie, not to really marry Doris!
If he were to be honest, he had once considered it,
but everything happened so quickly.
And so Jay said, "Grandpa, marriage is a really big deal. Give me some time to think about it... Then, let's
, "No, I feel bored after Dorothy was taken away. My brother, she did not know better. There is no need to lock her up. How about you release her?"
"Let her go? Then what? Let her hurt Nancy once again?" Charles was furious.
"She is just jealous, you know? She didn't murder anyone!" Joseph muttered.
"That's right, Charles. I have to say something about this matter. Dorothy grew up with you, so you have to understand her. Drew has already called me several times. He is really determined to find his only daughter. Anyway, let her go..." Angelina said.
With a cold face, Charles opted to stay silent.
Frederic flatly said, "Charles, Dorothy hasn't caused serious problems. Please release her."
Still, Charles continued to be silent.
He disregarded their opinions.
His family kept asking him to release Dorothy.
Charles knew how unpredictable Dorothy actually was.
'Release her? And give her the chance to hurt Nancy?
There is no way I can allow that!' Charles had his mind made up.
