Nancy didn't sleep well, either. After the effect of the anesthetic wore off, her shoulder began to ache again.
Charles sat on the edge of her bed, holding her hands to comfort her through the grievous pain.
When Nancy woke up, she found Charles fast asleep next to her.
Nancy wanted to go to the bathroom, but she didn’t want to wake Charles up. However, when she tried to get up, Charles opened his eyes vigilantly.
"Nancy, you’re awake. Does your shoulder still hurt?" he asked eagerly.
"I feel much better now, I just want to go to the bathroom," Nancy replied.
Charles offered to help her get up, "Let me assist you."
She gave him a broad smile and said, "Although my shoulders hurt a bit, my feet are fine. I can go by myself!"
"Okay, I’ll wait for you outside," Charles responded.
"No, why don't you go and buy something for us to eat. I'm famished!" Nancy said, acting like a spoiled child.
"What do you want to eat?"
"How about pizza?"
"Okay. Wait for me. I'll be back soo
er you want with her. It's up to you." Caspar tossed Nancy to the ground and headed towards the car.
Fannie ran up to him and held his hand tightly. "Caspar, where are you going?"
"If Charles finds out about what happened to Nancy, he’ll come here himself and kill me," Caspar said as he turned on the ignition of the car.
Fannie leaned against the window of the car and said despondently, "Caspar, tell me, will you come back?"
"Of course, I will return once you get the money from Nancy," Caspar said as he stepped on the accelerator and left
"Humph, Nancy, you deserve this!" Fannie asked Jill to bring a rope and tie Nancy up.
Then she blindfolded Nancy and dragged her to the basement.
"Hey, be gentle. After all, she is my daughter!" Clark exclaimed.
Jill deliberately pinched Nancy’s leg. "Clark, you are useless. Nancy almost killed us, but you still defend her. If you still want to protect her, Fannie and I will have no choice but to leave you so that you and Nancy can live alone!"
