What Jill desired the most was money.

But she suspected that Charles would lie to her, so she pondered for a bit and said, "Charles, give me the money or else I won’t open the door!"

Charles came outside in a hurry. Why would he carry the money with him?

He didn’t even bring his wallet.

"I don’t have my wallet with me. Open the door first. I promise that I’ll give you the money once I step outside," Charles exclaimed. He knew that Nancy had a wound on her shoulder, which was getting worse with each passing minute Nancy spent in the basement. It would be troublesome if the wound got infected.

Therefore, Charles’ top priority was to take Nancy out of the basement.

"I know you are lying. You won't fool me. If you want to come out, hand over the twenty million immediately. Or else, you and Nancy will die inside!" Jill didn't believe that Charles would hand over the money once he stepped outside. She turned around and left them there.

Ch

the swing.

With her little hands, Nancy tried to hit Jill. Jill was so angry that she took her to the basement.

Nancy and the swing board were thrown in together. "Nancy, you just reflect on what you have done. I’ll leave you and your swing board alone!"

Nancy held the swing board close to her chest.

This memory reduced her to tears. She muttered, "Mom, the swing."

Charles didn’t hear what Nancy said. He picked up the swing and smashed the nearby window with it. Shards of glass scattered everywhere as the window was smashed open.

This enabled Charles to climb through the glassless window.

As he jumped outside, he saw Jill fighting Clark.

"Bitch! How dare you offend Charles? If Nancy dies in the basement, you and Fannie will die as well. Give me the key!"

"I won't hand over the key to you. I don't even know if Fannie is dead or not. I want them to die inside. I want to avenge Fannie! It’s all that bitch’s fault!" Jill bellowed.
