Charles even wanted her to just stay at home. He would be more relieved if she was not doing anything.

In that way, he didn't have to see her exhausted, right?

"There's no need to rush. Nancy, you have to take good care of yourself while you're still young. When you are hurt, have yourself checked, to prevent it from getting worse in the future. Or else, once you get old, you will feel pain all over your body." His worried eyes stared at Nancy.

"Well, it's just a small wound. Don't make a fuss about it. Anyway, I have to go to work tomorrow. It's autumn now, and there are many patients. If I'm not there, the First Pediatric Department will be under a lot of pressure." After saying that, she sighed.

All of sudden, Charles asked, "Do you think Anna can do it alone?"

"Judging from her skills, she should be at least as good as Jessie. However, she is not experienced enough." Nancy made an objective evaluation.

"Yes, I saw her father David a few days ago. He said that his daughte

egnant is painful. Is the reason why you don't want to marry Daddy because you're afraid of having a baby?"

"No." Nancy shook her head.

"Then why?"

Feeling like her head was going to explode, she looked at Charles. "Answer this question. I'll be at the kitchen!"

Being anywhere else was better than with the children and had to answer these questions.

"Your shoulder is injured. Let me do it!" Charles didn't want to answer their questions either.

"It's okay. My shoulder is recovering. I can cook now." As she spoke, she had put on her apron.

"Daddy, tell me, why hasn't Mommy got pregnant yet?" Bobby continued to ask.

"Wait a minute, kids. I bought you some books. I'll get them right now," Charles said and ran out.

Soon, he got the books from the trunk of his car.

"Daddy, what kind of books did you buy?" Nadia asked curiously.

"Yes, I remember Uncle Jay said that Daddy bought us a lot of comics. Daddy, let me see what kind of books they are!" Bobby asked curiously.
