"See Jay even if you have a point that is absolutely correct it does not give you the leeway to bully me like that!" Doris said with understandable seriousness in her tone.
"Come on! I never bullied you! It was you who climbed on me! I...." Jay let his voice trail off into silence. Instead he thought to himself, 'I did have something in the back of my mind. But before I could do anything you simply woke up.'
Jay felt unfairly accused by the way Doris was lambasting him.
"What are you indicating Jay? Are you trying to say that I am being unfair to you?"
"Yes Doris, you are being extremely mean to me and I feel wronged, is that clear?"
Doris absolutely lost her calm at this point. She screamed at Jay, "You bastard. You good-for-nothing! Get the hell out of here right now! Go so far away that I never have to see your face ever again! I can't bear the sight of you anymore!"
"My goodness Doris I have never ever seen a more unreasonable woman than you!" Jay shot back with irritation and anger.
Doris was at edge of her tolerance. Unable to control herself any longer she pushed Jay with all her might and shouted, "Get the fuck away from me you moron! Get lost right now! You have bullied me at every opportunity. You keep on doing it. If you do not admit it I swear I will tell Grandpa!"
"Shut up you crazy woman! Grandpa just recover
y protested strongly as she still could not believe her ears.
"Oh! Why are you such a coward? I will just use it to scare Jay! Who on earth will sue you? That scoundrel betrayed me. I won't let that go unpunished!"
"While I am completely with you on the fact that he should be punished and you have every right to take revenge, I really can't support your idea of doing it. Do not use your health as a bait. It is not a joking matter in any way! You will give birth to a baby and become a mother. You cannot be so impulsive anymore. You must think twice about the consequences before you take any step!"
"Worst comes to worst I will abort this pregnancy altogether. I don't think that Jay will ever be a good father because he has not changed even a little bit! Nancy I can't stop feeling that I made a huge mistake by marrying him. Why should I continue on with that mistake?" Doris's eyes welled up with tears as she spoke.
"Alas!" Nancy sighed and gave Doris a long, comforting hug. She then said, "Don't overthink now. You need to focus on your body now. Jay will become a better person once the baby is born. He will learn with time. Don't worry yourself sick like this!"
"But I'm really exhausted now!" Doris broke down.
"You need to stop thinking so much. Listen to me please!" Nancy brought a tissue and carefully wiped the corner of her eye.
