Nancy knew Jessie very well.

Nancy had known Jessie for so long, except for the odd bit of banter here and there, she was never cruel towards her. This woman was quite the trouble maker, but more timid than would be expected.

Nancy guessed that the only reason Jessie would be here in such clear rage was because of Anna.

'I'm always so busy at work. I really don't understand how these people have the energy to start up all this nonsense,' Nancy thought.

"Director Jessie, I have endless amounts of respect for you. You're not sure about anything so you can't jump to conclusions. Besides, you can't believe what Anna says, can you?" Nancy said calmly.

On the one hand, Nancy wasn't in the mood to fight. On the other, Jessie was a patient now. No matter what the reason was, it was always going to be Nancy's fault for this quarrel.

"Nancy, I can't stand that smug look on your face. It disgusts me!" Jessie suddenly rushed over, grabbed the cup on Nancy's desk and flung it at her!

Just get back to work. From now on, when you hear them gossip just ignore them. There's no need to fight for me, understand?"

"Okay, I know," Erin sobbed.

"Get back to work!" said Nancy, waving her hand.

Erin left her office.

Nancy was really having a tough day. She was exhausting and just too annoyed.

She just sat there, all alone in silence.

She sat there till everyone had left. The sun had set a while ago but it was only then that she finally left her chair.

Charles didn't call her, maybe because he went to pick up the children.

Nancy was worried about Bobby, but she didn't want to deal with Charles right now. So she called Doris. "Are you at home?" Nancy asked as soon as Doris picked up the phone.

"I'm pregnant. Of course I'm at home. Where else could I go?" Doris said jokingly.

"That's good. I'm coming to sleep at your house tonight!" said Nancy.

"What?" Doris had thought she had misheard. "You want to sleep at my house? Did you tell Charles and the kids?"
