"I am..." Charles gritted his teeth angrily, "I'm your children's father, right?"
"Stop! You are making trouble out of nothing!" Nancy didn't dare to argue with him, because she knew that he was right.
He was their father.
"I already dismissed Anna." Charles glared at Nancy and said word by word.
Nancy was astonished. "You fired her?"
"Well, I don't like her. That isn't the reason I fired her though. It's mainly because of her poor medical ethics," Charles said softly.
"So, Anna didn't go to work today?" asked Nancy, looking at him in a daze.
Nancy just realized what must be happening in the hospital now.
All the patients are probably waiting anxiously for the pediatric doctor.
"Yes, you and Anna both aren't at work today. Jessie is still in the ward..."
Before Charles could finish speaking, Nancy interrupted, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Charles shrugged. "I thought you were already at work, so...
ia's sadness as well. He said anxiously, "Teacher, please call Uncle Hiram again and ask him to pick us up."
Bobby gave the teacher Hiram's number.
"Okay, I'll call him right away." The teacher then called Hiram.
Hiram wasn't expecting to pick up the kids today. He usually only picked them up when Charles wasn't available. Charles didn't tell him today, so it was the last thing on his mind.
He suddenly received a call from the kindergarten teacher, and Hiram immediately answered nervously. He was afraid that something happened to the children. "Teacher, what's going on?"
"Mr. Sun, I called Mr. Fu and Dr. Nancy, but I couldn't get through. May you please come pick up the children? Are you free?" the teacher asked.
Hiram frantically got up out of his chair and said, "Okay, I'll go there right away."
'Why didn't Charles call me to pick them up? The kids have been waiting for so long. It's so dangerous.' Hiram thought.
