Hiram hurriedly took the elevator to the sixth floor.
He knew this was the most important thing to do right now.
If something went wrong, it was hard to say whether he could survive or not.
Just thinking of it sent his nerves through the roof!
"I may stay here for a while. You can come visit me in the future." Edward smiled awkwardly and walked out of the elevator with Nancy.
"Okay. If you need anything, just let me know. After all, I've been back for a while, and I'm more familiar with the area than you," said Nancy.
Edward turned to look at her. "I just want to get familiar with the environment and the business circles of this city to see if there is a chance to invest."
"Oh, I know a few people. Should I put you in touch with them?" asked Nancy seriously.
Nancy thought that since Edward always helped her out, it was her turn to return the favor.
"You have such a kind heart but don't worry about me. You just need to be a good doctor. Be
n and have a look."
The waitress refused to go back. She was too terrified of losing her job. She turned around and left.
The more Hiram thought about it, the more frightened he became. Obviously, he couldn't just barge in. It was quite a big deal so it was best if he spoke to Charles first.
'Nancy is not a loose woman. She wouldn't do that with Edward so quickly, right? Or would she?' Hiram thought.
It was inconceivable!
How could he tell Charles about this?
If he told Charles, would Charles be able to keep his cool? He might lose his mind and go on a rampage!
Hiram was so anxious all he could do was scratch his head. When he walked out of the elevator, he saw Bobby and Nadia waiting in the hall.
He pressed his peaked cap so that the kids wouldn't notice him.
'How could Nancy do that? Didn't she care about her children?'
The more Hiram thought about it, the more confused he became. He rushed out of the hotel still consumed in anxiety.
